幸福来敲门 观后感

Give me Strength to Climb Mountain

“Lord, don't move that mountain; give me strength to climb it. Please don't move that stumbling block, but lead me. Lord, around it. My burdens, they gets so heavy, seem hard to bear, but I won't give up. Because you promised me. You'd meet me at the altar of prayer”. After seeing the film The Pursuit of Happiness, I was moved and inspired by the character of the hero and also remembered that hymn Lord don’t move that mountain.Get what you want with courage and resolution no matter what difficulties in front of you.

The Pursuit of Happiness is inspired by a true story, that of Chris Gardner, who was among San Francisco's working homeless in the early '80s and managed to pull himself and his young son up by the bootstraps. It was directed by Gabriele Muccino and released on Dec.15th,2006 by the Columbia Pictures Corporation. The film features Will Smith as Gardner, an on-and-off-homeless salesman, finally became a stockbroker. Smith's son Jaden Smith co-stars, making his film debut as Gardner's son Christopher.

In 1981 San Francisco, Gardner's investment financially breaks the family and only the son Christopher remains with him. While trying to sell one of his scanners, Chris meets a manager for Dean Witter and impresses him by solving a Rubik's Cube during a short cab ride. This new relationship with the Dean Witter manager earns

him the chance to become an intern stockbroker. Chris embarks on an unpaid six-month internship at the end of which one of 20 hopefuls will land a job as a stockbroker. Chris is a model of persistence as he clings to his dream.

This is a much lower-key performance than we're used to seeing from Smith, and he pulls it off admirably. He does not only perform a brave and persistent businessman, but also a good father. No matter how hard the life is, he tries to shield Christopher from the hardships they face. When they have to live in the subway station, the father totally touches me. He pretends to see the dinosaur and finds a cave for his son. When his son falls asleep, he cries. That is a father, always to protect and love his child, to show all wonderful things but hide his bitter. He pursues what he wants all the way and also educates his son: Y ou got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want something, go get it. Period. At the end of the movie, they play knock knock jokes, ”who is there” in my eyes, it is “happiness”. They deserve it.

It’s good to seek for happiness, but not everyone could persist in dream when in despair. After seeing this film, you will know: When you believe that the happiness is just round the corner, you walk forward and don’t give up, and then you will get it.
