一个你一直想做却没做的事

I'd always wanted to go travelling on foot, make a camp when the sun falls, sleep

where I want, to discover the places that nobody never set foot on, feel the nature of

earth.

I wanted to this because that actually, the adventure is an idea, an idea that is binded

to my life, with the idea, to discover, to fight, to enjoy, I lived a very exciting life.

And also, this thing gives my a target, simply, I have to work hard, to learn the needed knowledge, to save money to buy the gears.

I find a purpose on this thing, it keeps me alive, so that's the thing that I want to do.

Task 2

Do you prefer to have several short assignments for a class or one or two long assignments?一门课程经常考小的assignment 好,还是一学期考一二次大的考试好

For myself, I would say that I prefer to have several short assignments for a class, it is

because that, for study, I would like to look into different subjects, to have multiple

choices of the area that I want to research, in this way, I could learn many more thing

than just focusing on one subject, in the other hand, having several assignments for a

class has an obvious advantage to help me get a good score, if one of them didn't

went well, I can learn from it and improve the others, not like the one long assignment

that it is the only shot. So, that's why I like to have several short assignments.

Task 3

The university decides to have music performance on every Friday night. And the

woman thinks that it is cool. First, she can perform on the performance. Second, she

can practice to be relax on a performance, e.g. talk to the audience. Third, all the

enrolled students may enjoy the performance for free.

3。阅读：学校的咖啡店要停掉，每周五晚举办musician performance, 正在搭建

台子，学生的表演和观看积极性都很高。

听力：女学生说太好了，第一，她是个音乐家，弹吉他又唱歌，这样的话给像她

Coffee shop on campus plan to have live music performed by students on Friday night

started next month; the store manager believed that student will largely participate in

both performance and attendance for the concert. The female student would like to participate playing guitar and singing. This kind of live music in this area cost a lot;

compared to that, the coffee shop provides affordable live music experience.

The café in the campus is planning to put on a musician performance on every Friday, the manager believe that this measure is to attract lots of students to participate because that they

could be the performer and the audience both, besides, there is no tickets charge.

In the conversation, the woman thinks this is great because she herself is a musician, by then, lots of student like her would have an opportunity to perform on a stage, to practice how to relax in front of the audience and how to use the microphone. What's more, the concert is totally free of charge, so there is no need for the students to worry about money, they can just enjoy.

听力：教授以自己经验告诉大家，小时候妈妈说如果不穿暖和了就不让出去...

要不然会感冒，但是，长大后才知道是感冒病毒引起感冒，并不是温度，冬天感

冒几率反而最小，虽然知道是错的，但是还是继续执行，而且还让他的孩子冬天

出去时也要穿得暖暖的。

第四题：阅读：关于brief preservation,听力：教授举了自己小时候母亲让他穿厚

夹克以防止感冒，等他长大后发现感冒是由于接触病毒引起的，冬天反而不容易

感冒，但他依旧教育自己的孩子多穿厚夹克是为了预防感冒

Belief perseverance

有些人hold belief on available information, even though the information is false.阅

读举例说妈妈告诉小孩天冷穿夹克保暖可以防感冒，可是小孩长大后知道感冒是

因为病毒引起，可是他还是会对自己的孩子说天冷穿夹克，如果孩子问他为什

么，他还是会说可以防感冒。

Belief perseverance. Believe is based on available information; even the information

is proved to be wrong, people still hold the same belief. i.e. speaker was told by his

mom that if he does not wear jacket, hat, and gloves in the winter and go outdoors, he

would catch the cold. When he grew up, he understands that winter is least possible to

catch cold because the cold virus, the reason for getting cold, is less in winter.

However, he still told his son to wear jacket, hat, and gloves before going out of the

house.

The reading passage talks about a theory of belief preference, which means that once

people hold on what they believe, it is unlikely for them to change the beliefs even

when they acknowledge the fact which can prove there are flaws in their beliefs.

In the lecture, the professor gives an example of his own to prove the theory. When he

was young, he was told to keep warm in winter because the cold weather will cause

him to catch a cold, later he finds out that it is the cold virus that will cause the illness

yet he still believes that it is necessary for him to keep warm outside in the winter to

keep away from catching a cold, he also tell his children the same thing too.

Task 5

The woman has a problem that she planned to go to a ski class on Sunday night, but

her cousin telephoned her to visit and to have a dinner together. The man's suggestion:

1. ask her cousin if she can change her schedule;

2. (not sure) just attend a part of the

ski class.

女生想参加ski ship 但是她的亲戚周六要来。男生建议她1.让她的亲戚改到周五

来，但女生觉得这回让亲戚觉得不好2.让女生周日再来参加ski ship，但女生认

为这会影响她返回的时间

男女生讨论周末学校的ski trip,女生说她很想去，但是cousin 周六要来找她。男

生给了两了suggestions，第一，让她cousin 周五来，这样的话周六日可以去ski；

第二，让女生只参加部分ski trip，周日自己开到山上。

女生的problem: she plans to go to the ski trip organized by ski club for the entire

weekend. However, her cousin will come to town the same weekend and plan to have

dinner with her on Saturday evening. She does not want to miss either of it.

男生的两个solution: 1) talk to the cousin directly to see if they can reschedule the

dinner plan to Friday evening, then she can have dinner with the cousin on Friday and

go skiing on both Sat and Sun. But the woman is worried to offend her cousin by rescheduling with her.

2) She can go to part of the trip. She can have diner with the cousin on Sat evening,

and drive to the ski place on Sun. But the woman is concerned that she will not have

enough time to enjoy skiing with the club members.

The woman in the conversation is facing a time conflict that she planned to take a ski class on Sunday night, however, her cousin called her that he would pay her a visit and dine with her. His friend suggests her that she could tell her cousin to visit on Friday, but she thinks that would not be fair for her cousin, or she can take part of the class and the man can go by himself.

I suggest that the woman should take the first solution, because that if she came back from the ski

class on Saturday, she might be tired and she won't take good care of the guest, so neither side would be happy, her friend, nor her cousin, besides, I think she could just call her cousin back to explain the situation very clearly, and I'm sure that he will understand and rearrange the time to suit for everybodys' schedule.

Task 6

Human's activities threaten the marine environment. 2. The trees which may hold the

shadow are cutting down by people, and the sunshine makes the sea lack of oxygen,

so it increases the temperature which makes fishes die.

关于人类行为如何影响native fish。第一，人类为了船运，连接了好多湖和海，

引进了新鱼群，或大型的海鱼，有的会变成native fish 的predator，降低native fish

的数量；第二，改变了湖的温度。人类为了造房而伐树，但是本来树是可以遮阳，

从而降低湖水温度的，低温的湖水会带来更多的氧气，但是现在氧气减少了，

native fish 就会窒息而死。

In the lecture, the professor point out that fresh water ecological system has been

changed due to human activities, which endanger the native fish species by two ways.

First, he talks about that by building canals connecting the ocean and the lake would

introduce the new species from the ocean to the fresh water system, and therefore, the

new spices could be the natives' threat.

Then he points out the environment of the fresh water ecological system which the

native fish need to survive is changed by the human activities, for example. When the

trees around the lake are cut off, there is no more shade covered the water, then the

water will lack in oxygen which the fish need due to the raise of the temperature, and

these could cause the death of the fishes.

Task 1

is it beneficial for the student to have computers?

I believe that computer is becoming more and more important to the student, here are my reasons.

In 21 century, it is very hard to receive the massive information without a computer, if I need to

find information that I need, I might take a hole day, looking for them in lots of places, or I could just sit down, google it, download some documents while enjoying a cup of coffee.

What's more, now computers are becoming more important with the social network built up, we need to check our mails, our facebook news and the latest notice published by our schools, it's very hard to catch up if we don't have one.

So, that why I believe that computers are very important for us.

Task 2

版本1：你是否会一直表达你的真实意见，即便你知道这个意见可能不被认同。

personally I would be honest always, because of these reasons,

First, honest, I believe,is one of the most important character of a person, it helps you to build a good reputation among your friends, everybody likes an honest people, so being honest, I can live

with less burden and I will have a good relationship with my friends.

Second, being honest can make life much more easier, being frankly to people, no fancy words, just tell the honest thought of myself, and by that, misunderstanding is reduced,

Task 3

cleanup day 学校要招volunteers 分成几个小组给学校做卫生，这一天结束后有

个party，给大家用餐。

lecture：男的positive attitude 1.他觉得这样不仅对当天有好处，对将来的环境

也好，volunteer 的同学看到他们这么做也就不会乱仍东西了 2.结束后开个

party 很好，可以attract students，并且encourage 大家。

The school is planning to encourage student to volunteer to clean the school, and after the cleaning,

there will be a party and everybody will enjoy supper together.

In the conversation, the man agree with the school's idea, he thinks that it will not only make it one good day, but have a longer effect on the future, that when people see there work, litters will reduce and therefore environment will be protected, also, he thinks that it is great to have a party

to reward the students taken part in the cleaning because it can encourage the people and attract

students to take part.

Task 4

4 老师经常用stimulus reduction 的方法是学生远离分散学习注意力的事情。举了

个例子，他在elementary school 当老师的时候，有个学生靠窗坐，他总往窗外看，

注意力很不集中，后来老师就把作为调了，让那个学生远离窗户，那个学生就集

中注意力了，而且学习成绩也好了。

In this set of material, the reading passage introduced stimulus reduction

He then gives an example, that when he was a teacher at an elementary school, there was a student

who sat near the window, he kept looking outside and won't focus on the class, then he switched his seat from the window, and the student begin to concentrate on the class, then his grades

improved.

Task 5

.男的的问题是：他明天要表演个opera，关于莎士比亚的，但是他的partner catch

a cold 不能来了，这个表演占总成绩的分数，所以很重要。女的给的2 个solution：

1.和professor 谈谈，reschedule，这样他的partner 就能recovery 了。

2.他的partner 带病坚持来

The man is going to perform in an opera of Shakespear tomorrow, however, his partner catches a cold and will not able to perform with him, this show is very important because the result of the show will be part of the grade, the woman gives him 2 possible solutions, he can go talk to the professor about the situation to rearrange the time schedule, so he can wait for his partner to

recover and perform together, or he can ask his partner to perform anyway.

Personally, I believe the man should go talk to the professor because I'm sure the professor will understand the man's situation an change the time of the show, besides, even if his partner perform

with him, the quality of the show will be lower, and the grades won't be good of course.

版本2：两种social group。一个是有互动，例如大象群，其中一个病了，其他大

象会照顾它。另一种group 没互动，例如鱼群，他们不但没互动，甚至彼此都不

能识别。

In the lecture, the professor talks about the two kinds of social group of animal,

The first one is the group with interaction, he then gives an example of the group of

the elephants, if one of them is sick, the others will help it.

The second one is the group without interaction, he gives an example as well, the

fishes, not only they don't have interaction, but they hardly know each other.

1、describe one way of life in your country has been changed and why it is beneficial

I think one the change in China is the usage of the internet. I remember the figure of

the internet user in China in 2000 was only 50 million. But, surprisingly, this figure

has soared to 500 million with only ten years. Actually, the internet brings many

changes in people's life in every aspect. For example, almost each university library

in China has equipped with the internet. It is helpful for students' study. They can find

more information faster than ever. Another example is the usage of internet in social

life. People now in China are using internet to send emails, chat on-line, and they

even find a blind date on internet.

2、你倾向于什么时候完成事情：是喜欢刚开始就准备还是到了due day 才开始

准备，原因

I prefer preparing in advance.

First, I am a well-organized person. So if I have a plan, it takes time for me to prepare everything before it happens. I think this is helpful especially when I have many other

works to do at the same time. If I prepare first, I would feel less stressful.

Second, if I prepare first, I can have time to cope with the emergency. For example, I

once wrote an essay for my history class with my laptop, but my laptop just broke

when I was about to finish that paper. So I had to rewrite that essay, and it was

frustrating.

3、[阅读]

学校有通知，要求新生参加学习小组，学校认为这样做有两个好处：

1）帮助学生掌握学习技巧

2）让学生结交新的朋友

In the dialogue, the woman disagrees with reading passage which states that the

university requires the new students to participate in the study discussion group. She

states two reasons for her idea.

First, she thinks that many of the new students have already learned some learning

skills, so it would be waste of time for them to take part in the discussion group.

Second, she thinks that the students will become friends finally because they study in

the same class. So it is unnecessary for them to make friends with each other by the discussion group.

4 动物都有maintain自己的方法，有的时候他们的群体会保持同一个规模大小（size），以防止外部威胁，有的时候调整群体的规模（adjust size）获取资源，

然后听力里给了大猩猩的例子，他们晚上睡觉的时候都是100 个左右在一起，规模基本很稳定，防止别的动物攻击，但是白天觅食的时候会分成小规模去不同的地方。

5 男生因为搬家伤了后背，所以想换个工作，原来是在书店搬运重物到书架。

两个选择：1）继续留在书店当收银员，但是会和他的study meeting时间上有冲突

2）是去cafeteria 洗盘子，但是钱少。

The man has a problem that he wants to change another job because he hurt his back when working in the book store. There are two solutions for him.

First, he can still work in the shop but play as a receptionist there. Second, he can find a job in a cafeteria and wash the dishes there.

Personally, I prefer the first one. I think he has already hurt his back, so it would get worse if he washes dishes, which is very exhausting. Besides, I think he can talk to

the boss about his working schedule so that he can avoid the time conflict with his study meeting.

6、社会的稳定性由两种形式形成，一是人们从事同一个种类的工作，这样大家

有共同的作息时间，共同的关注点等；另一个是从事不同种类的工作，做出不同的贡献，人们相互依赖，从而形成稳定性。

In the lecture, the professor talks about the two forms in which the society keeps stable.

The first form he introduces is that people in a society can do the same kind of job. By doing so, they can share the same working schedule and share the same interest at the same time.

The second for he introduces is that people can do the different kinds of job. By doing so, people can rely on each other because they make different contributions to the society.

1 在学校里喜欢什么活动

For myself, I'd like to say that in school, I like to go to the students' club a lot, it is a little place consisting a small pub, a meeting room, and a basement.

I like to go there because it is the that makes me feel home, I have a lot of friends in school and whenever we don't have class, or in the weekend, we can get united, have some food together, chatting around, it's really relaxing.

What's more, it is the HQ of our student council, lots of important decisions were made there.

2，艺术家要天分吗？

I don't agree with it, of course that if an artist has a good talent, he might create a real piece of work, but I believe that for those that are now quite gifted, they can also be great artists by working much harder.

I think that the talent is just a feeling, and those genius are just more sensitive than others, so that they can express what they feel very well, we are all creations of nation, I believe if we try to, we can do as well as those genius.

Besides, now there are various of art courses that people can take, after some essential lessons and practice, everybody can be an artist.

In the conversation, the girl doesn't think that it is a good idea and she has two reasons.

First, she thinks that the school is too big with a large sum people, the wastes would appear right after the cleaning.

Second, the students are here to study, not to take part to in the volunteers if there is somebody should do the job, they are to be hired outside the school.

In the conversation, one student sad he left very hasty this morning that he had a trouble with his document, the other one suggests that he can do it again, but jim said he needs to go to another computer and the class is about to begin, and he must go talk to the professor.

I think the best way is to go print the document again, because that though the class is about to begin and he can't reach on time, but when he show up, he can explain to everybody, that I think people would understand, for this thing do happen, what' more, if the documents are needed in the class, and he didn't get it, what's the point in reaching the class on time?

I would like to say that I am a mountain hiker, and I have learned some essential skills,

like how do use the gear, how to find some food in the wild, but I still need to

improve myself to be professional.

I order to do so, I think that first of all, I need to learn the theory, by reading lots

books, watch some show on national geography channels, talk to some pros.

And, the most Important things is, practice, I will go out a lot, see my body get well exercised, and gain some experience.

2 同意不同意广告对人们的有影响

I agree with the statement that advertisement will affect people, I agree because of

these two reasons.

It is said that people tend to believe whatever they are told, that they learn what the advertisement tell, like if the ad says the products are nice, people will get the idea in theirsubconcious, just like inception.

What's more, the ad provides informations that people need, if a person saw an ad of a certain kind of wine, he might think that it is what he needs, so he might buy it.

3 阅读说学校对theatre 专业的有新要求take a trip off campus，看专业的product，要花35 元。女的问男的态度，男的很欢迎，说对理解有帮助，花钱也不多，花

3 次的钱可以看一次免费的。

In the reading passage, the school is offering a trip off campus for the students major

In the conversation, the man is very happy for the announcement, he thinks that it is helpful for the understanding for the theatre

4 文章讲一个概念impact of bias，第一会影响人的决定，另外如果发生其他不

同的事件会让人recovery，听力以他女儿为例是高中学生，因为她很多同学在一

个学校，听说那个学校教育好，她就很想去，但最后没去成，她很难过，但当她

度了一个summer vacation，她又不难过，决定去另外一个学校。

The reading material introduced a principle, impact of bias, it wil have an effect on

people to make their decision, and in the lecture, the instructor gives am example of

his daughter that she is a high school student, lots of her classmates are in a school,

she heard that it is a good school, so she want to attend to that school, but in the end,

she failed to, she was sad but when she had a summer vacation, she was not sad anymore, she decided to go to another school

5 一个学生钥匙拉在宿舍，他的历史课的paper 也在房间，历史课还有两个小时

开始，他自己提出两个方法，一个找教授谈谈，女的说也许教授能理解，但男的

上次的paper 也推迟交，这次又推迟，会让老师觉得他不是个责任感强的人，另

外一个方法找管理员开门，时间还充裕但是得花钱。

The student left his key at the dorm room, and his paper of the history as well, there

are two hours left until the history class, so he came up with two ideas, first, he can go

talk to the professor, and his friend thinks that it is acceptable to the professor, but the

last paper of him is delayed as well, he think that he should find somebody to open the

door for him however that cost money.

In my view, he should take the second solution, I think that he understands that his

reputation worth much more then a few bucks, I think that he can't let the professor

down again, if he hand over his paper right on time, he would give his professor a goodimression

the lecture talks about how the creatures live on land to deal with the problem that

they need oxygen under water, the professor tells two solutions,

first, to slow the heart beat, then he gives an example of _______

The another way is to reduce the time in the water, he then stated another example of

a certain kind of bird that it circling up above the water, and when they see the fish, it

will dive in the water very quickly.

第一题出国读大学的好处.

第二题是自己开车好还是坐公交好.

第三题政策是学校在期末期间将延长cafeteria 营业时间.结果那男的竟然同意!!

我是按照不同意打的草稿,杯具.还好改起来也容易.男的说好,一是因为学生都在

复习没精力煮饭,又不能老是简单对付,所以有吃的买当然好.二是以前晚上想和

同学小组讨论一起复习都没地方,只好去学校外面找地方,现在可以去cafeteria.

第四题阅读是讲当你遇到陌生人,当时发生在你身上的positive and negative 因素

会影响你们最终会否成为朋友.教授的两个例子第一个是他搬家后进入新的社区,

被邀请到一个party,人们都很好,他跟其中一个人聊了特别久,因为他们喜欢相同

的电影和书,又都喜欢棒球,还在同一支棒球队打球什么的.最终他们成为了很好

的朋友.第二个例子是有一天教授在花园里料理花草,他的邻居也在自己的花园里,

他们站在那聊了一会,但是当时教授头很痛,所以对他们的谈话没什么兴趣.邻居

邀请教授去他家玩,教授最终也没去.

第五题那男生的问题是他的心理课有小组讨论,他的小组的习惯是每周到一个组

员家里,那个组员煮饭给大家吃,然后一起讨论.这周轮到他但是他忘了,现在已经

来不及煮饭了.两个解决方案一是买餐厅的外卖带回家,但那男的又说这样贵,自

己前段时间已经花了很多钱了.二是打电话给大家叫他们晚点来,自己赶快回家弄

点简单的东西,又怕大家等的饿,还会影响饭后的讨论.

第六题是生物的mimicry,说很多昆虫都有,mimicry 能保护昆虫.例子一是一种苍

蝇本身没有任何可以保护自己的武器,但是它的外表看上去很厉害,so the predator

think it is dangerous.就不会吃它.例子二是一种蛾,it looks like the predator,所以

predator 看到它以为是同类也不会吃它.

1、最近你感兴趣的新闻或是故事

Describe a news or a story that you are interested in recently. And explain why you

think it was interesting. Include reasons and details in your response.

I am interested in the new series movies recently. I am a big fan of

novel series of and I never missed any of the series. But I never

watched the movie before. I heard that those fantastic films are produced based on the

story written in the novel < Harry Porter>. Therefore, I really want to watch the movie

and find the differences between the films and the novels. Besides, I heard that some

part of the story in the novel were cut in order to make the film, So I am interested in

reading the book and figure out what they are.

Recently, the tales of the aliens got me, ufos, the conspiracy, the freemasons 2012

the story of thes mysterious events are quite interesting for me, because they seems

true, according to the legend, in 2012, there will be mass disasters and the aliens are

coming to rescue the people on earth, I love these because I always believe that life

should be full of changes, adventures, and discovers, and these stories is what I want. Besides, when I'm read these, and can learn lots of thing, astronomy, physics, history,

art, even religion.

Some students prefer to take a essay question where they must write an essay to a

question. Other students prefer to take a test with objective questions. Which type of

exam question do you prefer? Give reasons and examples in your explanation.

Personally, I prefer writing an essay to a question. The reason is that I think students

can learn more skills of the independent thinking skill from an essay. It means you

have to collect the materials, organize it and then express it in your own words. The

whole processes can enhance one's learning skills. Take myself for example, I am

majored in literature. So actually, there is no write answer about a specific question

and it means nothing if you just memorize something. So I think if I write an essay, I

can learn more critical thinking from that and that is the essential skill I should have

for my major.

Personally, I'd pick an essay, I think the quality of an essay can represent the student's

level of knowledge rather than taking a test, here are my reasons.

First, writing an essay requires a long-term work, the researching, thinking, analyzing

takes time to finish, it is easy to find whether the student take their time on studying. Second, it's convenient for the students, if somebody got sick on their test day, all the

hard work he paid is gone, or , if somebody cheats during the test, it's unfair for the

others.

Above all, I think to take an essay is a better way.

In the dialogue, the woman has a problem that her pictures is supposed to be present

in the exhibition tonight but she left them at her home. There are three solutions for

her.

First, she can go back home and take them immediately but she will miss the review

in the afternoon.

Second, her mother can help her to bring the pictures tomorrow and she can present

them then.

Personally, I prefer the second solution. First, I think the study should always come

the first for the students, so she cannot miss the review. It is important to her study.

Second, I think her friends can still come to see her pictures tomorrow if she just tells

them the truth. Her friends will understand that.

The girl has a piece of work to be put on the exhibition lasting 2 months, however,

she left the painting in the home, now she faces two choices, to retrieve it by herself,

that means she will miss the review in the afternoon, or, her mother can carry the

painting to her, but it is tomorrow and her friends are coming tonight and they can't

make it tomorrow

I suggest that she could wait for her mother to bring her the painting, because the review is very important for her indeed, and I think if she explain the situation to her friends, they will

understand, it is a pity that they can't see her painting tonight, but there are other painting here, besides, they can view her work privately or any time within 2 months.

Some animals let other younger female animals of the same kind to look after their

Describe a person who always makes you laugh. Explain why the person is funny. Include details and examples in your explanation.

Everytime when I see Robin williams or even hear his name, I can't help bursting into laughters, he is a very popular comedian that whatever the mood you are in, he can make you laugh.

I love him and his show for two reason, first, seeing his expressions on his face, his movements, is a real relax, cause he is just like uncle mcdonald that is just trying to make you laugh.

second, all his lines are well designed, not just something that you forget after the show, he put his deep thoughts into a humorous way of expression, so you can always find something new and refresh you mind through his magic smile on the stage

There is a problem lies in the radio club that this girl in, one of her workmate that is in

charge of recruiting new people got sick and therefore is missing the club affair

tomorrow. In this situation, she came up with two solutions, that she can go instead, however, she is gonna miss the group meeting, or, her roommate is willing to help but

she is not a radio club member.

I recommend her to take the second solution because of these two reasons:

First, I can tell that the group meeting is very important for her, and her shouldn't

miss the meeting, for it's not her fault anyway if she don't show at the club.

Second, I think she can sort out this tiny problem that sometimes it need to be flexible

to deal with problems, her roommate is not a member, but she is willing to help, and

that's enough.

Personally, I'd prefer not to have a tight schedule, I have 2 reasons.

First, I'm a person who love freedom, if I do anything that is arranged before, I'd feel myself like a machine, I might have a mentally break down or something, I think a flexible time table is more suit with me.

Second, if I don't have too many thing to do, I will have some time to read lots of books and to think deeply, by doing that, I believe I'd grow to be a wise man someday

The man in the conversation now faces a trouble that he is pushing to the deadline of his paper, he

should have finished it by tonight, but he promised his friend to go to a concert, the woman gave him 2 suggestions that either he can go for his friend has already bought the tickets therefore the man has to work all night, or he can not to go and stay to write the paper, but his friend has bought

the tickets.

personally, i recommend him to take the first solution because of two reasons.

First, that he already promised his friend to go with him, it is his own problem and he should go, or he might hurt his friend that his friend could have expected him to go very much.

Second, I think that if he work over time, he will still finish his paper, anyway, now, who doesn't work overtime right?

Well, I'm very proud to say that his holiness Dalai Lama is my model, the characters

he has which attract me most are these two: faith, and compassion.

We all know that Dalai lama is forced to leave his homeland due to politic, but all

these years, he kept calling on a solution of peace and kept telling his believer the way

of non-violence, I learned a lot from his deep wisdom.

As for compassion, he taught us to love and honor every living beings, in this way,

2.小孩应不应该学习draw or paint

In my point of view, it is very important to let out kids to learn to paint, I have two

reasons to support my view.

First, for a small kid, the expression of emotion trough language is a pretty tough way,

however if he has a color pen and a piece of paper, a smiling face or some tears can

show his thoughts very clearly, that is how you communicate with your kid through a

easy way.

Second, it take a lot of time to paint, painting can keep your kid occupied, inspire him

the art of life, also, it keep him from messing around with the street scums.

Anyway, it brings no bad to the children to learn to paint.

In these set of material, the passage introduced an animal behavior, THE TERM,

which is some animal tend to benefit other animals but reduce their own chance of

survival.

In the lecture, the professor gives two examples to explain this behavior, the first one

is a kind of squirrel live in califo, their nature enemy is mountain lions,

when the

squirrel senses dangerous, she will send a high pitch signal to call her companions to

run, however, the calling will attract the lions, she sacrificed her own chance to escape

to give the chance to her companions, especially when there are family members are

In the conversation, the man is moving to a new apartment, but there is already some

furniture in the new apartment, he can't find no place for his own furniture, and he is

renting this apartment for just one year. The woman suggests that he may store the

furniture somewhere but it will cost money of course, or, he can sell the furniture, to

make some money, but a year after, he must find new furniture.

I suggest the man to sell his current furniture now, I have two reasons supporting it,

first, who knows that what is going to be after a year? Maybe he rents another

apartment that have furniture as well, maybe he get rich and these furniture are

rubbish by then. Second, he can make some extra money to invest instead of spending

some for nothing.

这有两个有点，一，在一个group 里的人互相benefit。比如，一个restaurant owner，

她要找人manager financial，然后她再business network 里认识了一个account,并

且trust 她，她就可以直接雇佣那个朋友。

二：可以recommended 自己的圈外朋友。例子还是restaurant owner，他认识其

他的owner 也想找account，这个时候她就可以介绍account 过去。

In the lecture, the professor introduces a term, business network. Which means: a

group of people join in one group, they meet and built up relationship, friendship,

they can benefit from each other's expertise, which means share each other' skill.

The professor gives each point of the term an example to explain, first, one opened a restaurant, and she is gonna need a financial manager, and she knows an account form

her business network, and she trusts her, then she can employ the account, this is how

the people in the network to benefit each other

Second, if the owner knows another restaurant owner who is also looking for an

account, she can recommend her account to that owner, this is another example for recommendation, another point of the business network.
