聊斋志异故事:严父斥子

This is a story from the book Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio. There was an old man with the surname Feng，he had a son named Xiangru. Xiangru studied hard but failed several times in passing the imperial examination. One night when Xiangruwas reading books in the courtyard，he was surprised to see a beautiful girl on the wall looking at him affectionately. Xiangru invited her to come down from the wall and knew that her name was Hong Yu.From then on ，Hong Yu came to meet Xiangru every night and soon they fell in love. One night，Feng happened to run into Hong Yu at the door of Xiangru's room. Feng scolded Xiangru severely. Hong Yu slipped away and she never came there again. Later，Xiangru got married. His wife was called Wei and they had a boy named Lucky. Untortunately，the bully in the village，Song，was moved by Wei's good looks and snatched her away. Feng was so indignant that finally he died. Another day，a brave man rushed into Xiangru's room and said，"Have you forgotten that your father has died and your wife was snatched away by Song？" Xiangru hurriedly told the man that he wanted revenge but had no way to achieve it. Then，Song was beheaded that same night. The county government suspected Xiangru and detained him. The evening that Xiangru was arrested，no sooner the governmental official lied down than he saw a knife stabbed on the head of the bed. One day at his home，Xiangru heard his child talking to somebody outside the door. He opened the door and was surprised and glad to see Hong Yu standing there with Lucky. Hong Yu smiled and said，"I am not a common girl，but a fox spirit. I know that you have been in trouble；I am secretly protecting you." Since then，Hong Yu stayed with Xiangru to manage the family affairs and teach the child.

《聊斋志异》中的故事。冯翁年近六旬，膝下一子相如。他潜心读书，但运气不佳，屡考不中。一夜，相如在院中读书，忽然传来“索索”的声音。只见墙上一美丽少女，含情脉脉地看他读书。相如请她下来，问她姓名，方知叫红玉。从此红玉夜夜必到，一人互相爱慕，山盟海誓。一晚，冯翁从相如门口过，撞见红玉，责骂相如。红玉见状，悄悄溜走，从此再也没来。后来，相如娶妻卫氏，夫妻恩爱并生一男孩，名唤福儿。然而，乡里恶霸宋某见卫氏姿色好，带家奴抢走卫氏，气死冯翁。有一天，一位勇士撞进相如房内说：“难道你忘了父抢妻之仇吗？”相如忙把想报仇，但无计策的心事告诉了勇士。就在当晚恶霸宋某人头落地，县衙怀疑相如，派人捉拿归案。晚上，县令刚躺下，就见一把利丸扎在床头，县令害怕，放了相如。相如回到家后不久，听到门外有小孩说话声，开门见是红玉带着福儿进来。红玉笑着说：“我不是凡人，我是狐仙，知你必有大难，一直在暗中保护你。”从此，红玉再也未走，帮相如操持家务，教育孩子。

Eros（Cupid）

Eros was the god of love，better known by hislatin name Cupid．Son of Aphrodite by Ares ，he took his place among

the small gods of Olympus．He was represented asa little naked boy，with sparkling wings，and he carried his bowand arrows wherever he wandered．Shooting his thrilling arrows

in evils，he inspired the passion of love and provided all nature with life and power of reproduction．The lovely，naughty god had two kinds of arrows：the gold tipped arrows used to quicken the pulse of love and the lead tipped ones to palsy it．Besides，he had a torch to light hearts with．

Though sometimes he was blindfolded ，no man nor god，Zeus himself included，was safe from his evils．At one time the little naughty god was wounded by his own arrows and suchburning love was awakened in him for the human maiden Psyche that he disregarded the constant interference of his mother and plucked up his courage to beg Zeus for justice．Another famousstory where Eros played an important part was the Argonautic expedition．Medea，daughter of king Aeetes，was wounded by Eros' arrows，took Jason's part in recovering

the golden fleece and eventually became the hero's wife．

故事1.圆桌骑士The Round Table Knights

The Round Table Knights were a group of greatest knights who had the honour to sit at the Round Table at King Arthur’s court. According to a story, Arthur had a carpenter build the Round Table to show that no knight, not even Arthur himself was “head of the table”. All were equal and the king was just “first among equals”. The table was so large that it had enough seats for 1600 men and yet could be folded up and carried on horseback. According to another source.. Merlin the magician had the table built for Uther, Arthur’s father. Uther gave the table to King Leodegan. Later,Leodegan gave the table to Arthur after Arthur married Guenevere, Leodegan’s daughter. Still anoth er story says that the Round Table had 12 seats around it, like the table at the Last Supper, with an empty place representing Judas’s seat. This seat was

called the Siege Perilous, and was reserved for the knight so pure in heart that he would someday find the Holy Grail, the cup or dish used by Jesus at the Last Supper.Any other knight who sat in the seat would die. One day, Sir Galahad’s name appeared on the seat. From then on, he occupied the Siege Perilous .Later, as expected, he found the Holy Grail with the other two knights.

Knights considered it a great honour to have a seat at the Round Table. Brave men came to Arthur’s court from many countries hoping to become a Round Table Knight. Many stories describe the heroic deeds of various Knights of the Round Table. Several tell of the adventures of Sir Tristram and Sir Gawin. Other famous Round Table Knights included Lancelot, Bedevere, Bors, Galahad, Perceval and Modred..

The greatest adventure of the Round Table was the search for the Holy Grail. However, only the three knights---Bors, Galahad and Perceval were pure enough to be able to find the Grail. All the others had various moral defects. This fact damaged the reputation of the Round Table. To make things worse, a love affair developed between Queen Guenevere and Sir Lancelot, who was perhaps the greatest of the Round Table knights. This scandal destroyed the bonds of respect and friendship that had united all the knights.

The mortal blow to the Round Table ws given by Sir Modred, who tried to seize Arthur’s power. In a battle between the forces of the two men, Arthur killed Modred but he mimself was seriously wounded and soon died. The Round Table broke up following the death of Arthur.

圆桌骑士是亚瑟王宫廷里有权在圆桌旁就座的骑士。据传，亚瑟之所以让人造一圆桌，是因为圆桌无首席，所有骑士平起平坐，即使亚瑟本人也只是“众平等骑士之首”而已。这张桌子可坐1600人，但又可以折叠起来，一匹马就能驮走。据另一说，圆桌是墨林为尤瑟造的，尤瑟将它赠给了利奥德根王，而当亚瑟娶利奥德根王的女儿圭内维尔时，利奥德根又将它赠给亚瑟。也有人说圆桌周围有12个座位，与耶稣和他的门徒共进最后的晚餐时用的桌子相仿。其中有一个空位，代表犹大。这个座位被称为“危座”，留给能够找到圣杯的最圣洁的骑士。圣杯是耶稣在最后的晚餐上用过的杯子。不够圣洁的骑士若胆敢就座，就会马上死去。有一天，加拉哈爵士的名字出现在“危座”上，此后，这个座位就归他了。他后来果真与另外两位骑士找到了圣杯。

骑士们将能在圆桌旁就座视为最大的荣誉。各路豪杰纷纷前来，希望在圆桌旁得到位置。很多故事讲各圆桌骑士的英雄业绩。特利斯特拉姆和高文爵士的故事脍炙人口。其他著名的圆桌骑士还有朗斯洛、拜德维尔、博斯、加位哈德、珀西瓦尔、莫德雷德等人。

圆桌骑士们最伟大的历险是寻找圣杯。但其中只有博斯、加拉哈德和珀西瓦尔三人足够圣洁，有资格找到圣杯。所有其他骑士都有各种各样的道德缺陷，败坏了圆桌骑士们的名声。使事情更糟的是，圆桌骑士中最骁勇善战的朗斯洛爵士与亚瑟的妻子圭内维尔私通，违反了骑士道，破坏了骑士们的团结。

最后，莫德雷德爵士试图篡位，给圆桌骑士这一集体以致命的一击。亚瑟王率军与莫德雷德作战，在战斗中杀死莫德雷德，但自己也受了致命伤，不久死去。亚瑟死后，圆桌骑士各奔东西。

故事2.驴和买驴的人The ass and his purchaser

A man wanted to buy an ass. He went to the market, and saw a likely one. But he wanted to test him first.

So he took the ass home, and put him into the stable with the other asses. The new ass looked around, and immediately went to choose a place next to the laziest ass in the stable. When the man saw this he put a halter on the ass at once, and gave him back to his owner.

The owner felt quite surprised. He asked the man, "Why are you back so soon? Have you tested him already?" "I don't want to test him any more," replied the man, "From the companion he chose for himself, I could see what sort of animal he is."

一个买主到市场上去买驴，他看中一头外表不错的驴，但是他想要牵走试一试。他把驴牵回家，放在自己其他的驴之间，这驴四处看看，立即走向一头好吃懒做的驴旁边。

于是，买驴的人立刻给那头驴套上辔头，牵去还给驴的卖主。

卖主感到很奇怪，他问买主：“你怎么这么快就回来了？”买主说：“不必再试了，从他所选择什么样的朋友来看，我已经知道他是什么样了。”

寓意: 物以类聚，人以群分。人们往往喜欢跟与自己相同的人交往，所以，我们可以根据一个人的朋友来推断他的为人。

PEP小学英语Story Time教学感想与课例 PEP小学英语Story Time版块有着极其丰富的教学价值，故事短小精悍，通俗易懂，情节简单，非常适合在课堂有限时间内让学生阅读。故事以卡通连环画与英文句子相结合的形式呈现，插图不仅色彩鲜艳，而且生动有趣。故事中的语言切合本单元的教学目标，故事材料围绕本单元主题，以本单元所学的词汇和句型为主，并适当拓展，突出了本单元的学习重点。总而言之Story time教学能够有效激发学生的学习兴趣，能够有效提高学生英语学习的效率，能够提高学生英语学习的各项能力。 尽管Story Time版块为英语教学提供了丰富的语言教学素材，但在实际教学中，Story Time教学流于形式，发挥不了Story Time教学的优势。究其原因，除了由于对Story Time版块的教学价值缺乏认识外，主要是因为英语课时不够。在每周3课时的情况下，教师普遍认为没有更多时间教学Story Time版块的内容。 下面我以PEP小学英语四年级下册Unit 4 Part C Story Time为例，谈谈如何开展Story time教学。 Story time教学可以通过前置、融合、后延等方式，利用Story Time的优势，更有效地输入语言，提高学生综合语言运用能力，让学生学会在交际中运用所学语言。 一、提前渗透，即前置。 Story time教学是建立在每一个单元扎实而有成效的教学基础上的，基础知识的教学对Story time教学起着至关重要的作用，所以我们在开展Part A和Part B教学时,要能够总体把握单元的知识脉络,事先把Story time的内容有机渗透到教学中,不要孤立地处理教材。例如，我在开展Unit 4 Part C Story Time教学时，首先对Unit 4 It’s warm today进行整体把握。借助课件，我先呈现天气、季节、服装图片，让学生复习与天气、服装类单词，如天气类：cold hot warm cool sunny cloudy rainy snowy windy。服装类：skirt dress sweater pants shorts jeans socks 。然后通过课件，出示一段句型：What’s the weather like in today? My English Story Part 1(Past) Before entering middle school, English is a remote and mysterious realm I roughly have not ever touched. In other words, I began to learn English till I was 12 years old, about 5 or more years later than other children around me. And hence I have a rough time when I attempt to learn it. For instance, asked by my classmates, “What is your name, please?”, I felt so inferior and downcast because I may hardly recite the 26 letters at that time. Fortunately for me, my English teacher, Mrs. Sun, encouraged and helped me a lot. She gave me extra classes during her noon break. She told me I should never be too timid to use English and must have enough valor to speak loudly. With her selfless help, I finally caught up with my classmates after months of hard working. I felt enlightened and became interesting in English, though I could only say measly several simple sentences such as “Good morning” and “How old are you”. Afterwards my English learning gradually turned in a relatively positive direction. However, the primary force I studied English was simple, just to get a higher school record to go to a better high school. And in the high school, it changed to go to a better university. As a result of this simple but inappropriate motive, after being accepted by Harbin Institute of Technology to get a bachelor's degree and breezing through the CET4, 6, I hardly learned English for quite a long time, nearly two years. On one occasion, I read a poem from Tagore’s Stray Bird. Different fro m my usual reading, it is written in English. And it gave me more fantastic sense than when I read its Chinese translation. This fantastic sense gave me totally new aspiration to relearn English. As I found I extremely need English to know more about the world. Part 2(Present) Trying to get my master’s degree smoothly, I currently use English in readings of foreign literature in my field of expertise. Due to the previous learning, I may digest some elementary literature with the help of my teachers and dictionaries. But that is not enough, I must try to learn more. Very luckily, I get a foreign teacher, Mrs. Taylor, to give me guidance in learning English. This is the first time I get in touch with a native speaker of English so frequently. Mrs. Taylor speaks clearly and fluently, it is a relish to go to her class. In her class, we enjoy harmonious and relaxed atmosphere she establishes for us . She not only tells us how to learn English effectively, but also gives us much more knowledge about the foreign world. Watching the movies she recommends to us, we improve our English, at the same time, we begin to think more about the gap between China and the western world in politics, economy and culture. On the other side, I integrate my English learning in daily leisure and entertainments.
