英文名称： Public Speaking
一、课程目标
1.课程性质
《英语演讲》课程是为外语系英语专业学生高年级阶段所开设的专业选修
课。该课程旨在培养学生的英语公众演讲能力，帮助学生进一步提高英语表达能力，并有利于其开拓思路、掌握沟通技巧。通过该课程的学习，学生将从英语视、听、读、写、说等方面巩固和提高语言运用技能，并通过教师的系统指导使其能够基本掌握英语演讲理论和技巧。通过向学生介绍有关英语演讲与辩论的要领、
策略、技巧及其发展历史，借助大量多媒体资料的观摩和课堂实践，逐步培养、
训练学生的口头交际能力和用英语进行流利演讲与思辨的能力，使其能够富有逻
辑地、艺术性地、策略性地、感人地、幽默地、流利地表达自己的观点，成功地
说服听众。
2.教学方法：交际法和合作学习法，教师课堂授课和学生课堂演讲实践相结合。
3.课程学习目标和基本要求
本课程是为了让学生了解英语演讲技巧及其发展的历史；从理论上与实践上
提高学生在公共场合的英语演讲能力，使他们能够富有逻辑地、说服力地、艺术性地、策略性地、感人地、幽默地、流利地表达自己的观点，成功地说服听众；
学会演讲稿的写作方法；学会利用现代技术进行演讲；通过分析中外名家的演讲，让学生了解演讲中的中西文化差异。本课程要求学生通过一学期的学习，掌握英
语演讲与辩论的中外历史、讲台艺术、演讲稿与辩论稿的写作方法与修辞手段、
演讲与辩论中的媒体辅助技术；通过课堂训练，学生能够大胆地、流利地、准确
地、富有技巧与逻辑地表达自己的思想观点；准确掌握并区分中、英文演讲的异同，更好地进行对外交流。
