1. Why do I like reading?

Well, I like reading because reading can give me a fun relax. I can’t think that one day if there’s no book. I will never be happy. Reading is now a part of my life. Sometimes, my parents call me a little bookworm, as I will be reading whenever I have some time. I read books everyday. I enjoy the time when I stay with my books. It can make me quiet and knowledgeable. My room is not big, but I have two bookcases. Now I am busier. I can hardly have reading time every day, but I can read everywhere, in bed, in toilet, having dinner, or on the way home. Although my parents sometimes punish me in order to protect my eyes, I love reading, anyway. The more books I read, the more open-minded I am. Teacher, do you like reading?

2. My first book

I’ve got my first book named DUDU bear when I was 2 years old. It was a fiction book about DUDU. At that time, I only could read a few words. But the book was so attractive that I couldn’t help reading it myself, you know, I couldn’t understand it well, so I always asked my mum some childish questions. When I was reading the book, my mum taught me new words in the book. I love DUDU. From this book, I knew some knowledge, such as you must wash your hands before eat .D on’t touch other animals when they were angry. We should be polite to others and so on. From this book, I know that book can tell me a lot of knowledge, and can make me happy, can lead me across a totally brand new world, So I love reading.

3. My favorite kind of book

I love reading, such as novel, biography, science fiction(Harry Potter) and so on.

I like reading in my spare time. Among all books I like novels most. Novels are very interesting. Because of this, When I pick up a new novel, I just want to know the end as soon as possible. But my mother always said it is not good for me to enjoy the book, I should be more patient. Sometimes I was too addicted to have dinner. Most of us love novel, so do I. A book named “Memories of Old Beijing”(Cheng Nan Jiu Shi) is my love.. It is written by Lin Haiyin, who is a famous Taiwan writer. It is very good and interesting. The stories in the book are true, which are from the author’s life experience when she was a girl that spent her childhood in old Beijing. She was so kind and she could help others. Because of true stories, they are quite moving.

The Old Man and the Sea is a novel written by the American author Ernest Hemingway. It centers upon Santiago, an aging fisherman who struggles with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream .The Old Man and the Sea was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and was cited by the Nobel Committee as contributing to the awarding of the Nobel Prize in Literature to Hemingway. The novel opens with the explanation that the fisherman, who is named Santiago, has gone 84 days without catching a fish. While Santiago continues his journey back to the shore, sharks came. Again and again, Santiago struggles on the way to his shack, I think he was a hero.

Yanding is a person's name, she is a famous writer Yan yiyan. She was born in a Qing Dynasty rich family, grandmother didn’t love her, so called her Yanding. GEGE was the identity of the girl, she was a distinguished lady, her mom love her very much but died when she was five or six , The girl love to study ,but her grandmothe r didn’t allowed her to study , So she began to study like a thief . Whenever the brothers studied in the classroom, she stood outside to learn everyday from winter to summer. Then her stepmother came into her family. stepmother was a cold ,bad women she punished the girl and her brothers because of various reason. stepmother didn’t allowed Yanding go to school by dad＇s car, she had to take two or three hours to the school and come back on foot everyday .Without any help, she studied in a middle school, a famous university in Japan and so on. Finally ,she became a famous author.

I also like science fiction very much. It can make me very excited. I can gain a lot of knowledge about science.

4. My favorite author

I prefer the novels written by ESENSHIXI. I have read many books which were written by him, such as:Antelopes leap a cliff. The last war elephant , PUGONGTING-the tiger as a daughter .I prefer Shen than Seton, because the animals are brave, cute .and smart in Shen＇story.

5. What I’ve benefit from reading

Yes, I’ve learnt a lot from reading. From The Old Man and the Sea, I think a person is not made for defeat, a person can be destroyed but not defeated. Although the old man is different from the Chinese girl YANDING .They have the same character: courage ,brave and insist(坚强) . There are lots of difficulties and challenges in our daily life. But each time, we meet a challenge, we should face it bravely, and find some methods to solve them. I think if one has this character, he will be successful.

6. Reading books on-line

Of course, I like to find information on the internet. I think that finding information on internet is faster than finding it in newspaper, magazine.

.In my opinon, I prefer to read books in paper. I know reading books on-line is a habit for someone, the habit is changed with various Electronic publications, ipad,

iphone, it is fashionable. I prefer to read in paper .Because first, I can take a book everywhere without worry about the battery. Second, if I find good book, I will read it again and again, and I will make notes or marks with various color pens in the book.

I enjoy the course of reading. And I will take it to school and share it with my friends and teacher, such as, QINGTONGHUIHUA. Our teacher miss Wang loved it, she lent the book from me.

I think that books for me like friends of mine. I love reading. I think that reading is an important part of my life. I want to be with the tide.

7. I want to be a writer in the future.

ESENSHIXI is a famous author in China, Seton is a famous author in Canada, I want to be a writer in the future like Shen. Because in his story, the animal and person are in a common world, animal and person look like one of the family’s members, the story attract me very much ,I love animal, So I want to be a writer like Shen.
