Teaching Objectives
1)To get students know about vocabulary of different types of transportation;
2)To make a respond to apologies;
3)To make students learn about a listening skill—“asking yourself information questions before
listening”;
4)To deal with problems when traveling.

Teaching Procedure
Step 1: Opening up
1. Group up;
2. Students in group of 5 brainstorm the vocabulary of the types of transportation;
3. The teacher makes conclusion
4. Ask the students to write down one type of transportation on one card. And make sure that each group will get the same number of cards.
5. In each group, one student picks up one card with a type of transportation on it. He / She has a look at it and keeps the word in mind. The other students of the group ask him / her as few yes / no questions as possible to find out the exact type of
transportation on the card.
Step 2: Listening to the world
1. Sharing
Listen and finish the listening tasks.
2. Listening
Students read the tips and practice the listening skill—“asking yourself information questions before listening”.
3. Viewing
Students read the program which introduces some problems the people come across when travelling.
Step 3: Speaking for communication
1. Imitation
Listen and imitate.
2. Role play
Listen and finish the task given.
3. Group discussion and role-play
1) Group up;
2) Group discussion of the possible problems on the plane when travelling;
3) Each group does the presentation;
4) Role-play the situation and teacher shoots their performance;
5) Teacher gives the feedback and evaluates their work.

1. Choose one type of transportation and describe it in detail and then record.
