A Trip to Shenzhen

I arrived in Shenzhen on the rainy afternoon of July 30th, 2009, from the remotest mountain areas of Guangdong Province, with my wife and my son. With difficulties, even pains, we took buses to Meilin, in where Shenzhen Christian Church is located. I expected to have a look at the church, the magnificent work of the Lord God, Almighty, to meet some brothers and sisters in Christ, to approach God for grace and truth, to help my wife and my son, who are stubborn and unformed, who are disobedient and rebellious, and still walking in the darkness, with some faith in Christ. They ought to have come to God. For God doesn't want anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
I know a sister, Sister Xu, in Long Hua Quarter. But it is a pity was not free then. She couldn't go to meet us. It is awful and strange that many people may not know the church. How stupid and nonsense they are! It was a hard and difficult place! At last, we went into Shun XX Inn, which is about 100 meters away from Meilin Hotel.
We couldn't visit the church.
It was a rainy and miserable night. I can't remember I have ever had such a sleepless night before. At about one o'clock, I fell asleep. But I woke up after an hour or so. I became restless. I ached. I was wrong. I was hurt. Again and again, I sat up on the bed. Again and again, I lay down and tried to rest in sleep.
I couldn't help thinking of the Lord, and His glory and love, thinking of this special economic zone of China, Shenzhen, which God makes a splendid and modern city. I couldn't help praising God, with tears in my eyes.
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. Thanks to God, I fell asleep again at about nearly five o'clock. I woke up at about an hour later, and it was time for me to get up.
The next morning, July 31st, while waiting for a bus to Window of the World, I looked up at the sky, with tears in my eyes, to the Holy and wonderful place, saying good-bye, and hoping to be back again some time.
That night, we stayed in the house of a relative of mine in Nantou, Nanshan Quarter. I woke up at half pass three at the night, and couldn't resume my sleep again. But my wife and my son were sleeping soundly. I know that the Lord was working on them. Yes, the Lord is kind. He is never weary or tired. He is working all the time. I sat on the bed, with tears in my eyes, knowing that the Lord was still in my mind.
We met an old classmate of mine on the following day, and left the city in the afternoon.

2009年7月30日下午，天下着雨，我与妻儿一起从广东省一个边远山区来到深圳。毫不容易乘车来到梅林，那里是深圳基督教堂所在地。我满怀希望能看到教堂，欣赏上帝的杰作，见到一些主内弟兄姐妹，靠近上帝，能得恩典和真理，并想帮妻儿有些信仰，妻子真顽固，孩子没定性，他们叛逆、不跟从主，仍然行在黑暗之中。他们早该归向耶稣。因为神愿万人得救，不愿一人沉沦。
原来我与龙华的许姐妹也有点联络，因为学校放暑假，她带好几个孩子，根本不能来接我们。我们在梅林二村下车，很多人就不知道教会在哪里。他们真是有眼无珠！最后来到梅林一村下梅林农贸市场的顺x旅店，离梅林宾馆大约一百米，离梅林小学估计一百米不够。梅林，真是令我头疼的地方。
那是个下雨的晚上，我心乱如麻，身心疲惫，妻儿反对，恶语交加，又人生地不熟，就没有去找教会。
那晚真是难以入睡，辗转反侧，百感交集，记忆中从来没有过睡眠如此少的夜晚。大约一点睡着，大约一个钟头后就醒来了。坐起来又躺下，躺一会又坐起来。
我不由自主地思想着主的大爱，神的荣耀，思想着上帝已经祝福了深圳，中国这个经济特区，这个辉煌的、现代化的大都市。我不由自主地赞美上帝。男儿眼泪不轻弹，但伤心苦楚的时候，眼泪在心里流。感激之时，上帝面前，眼泪就不听使唤了。
我躺下睡觉，我又醒来，主都保护我[诗篇3：5]。感谢上帝能够让我有适当的休息时间，大约近五点钟，又睡着大约一个钟头。
7月31日早上，我们等车去世界之窗。仰望着天空，深吸一口气，长叹一声“哎”，眼泪就掉下来，滴落在这片神圣的土地上，幸好没在人面前流泪，不对着人，也不让人看见。忍着泪 say good-bye 啦，thank, thank, thank, thank, Almighty God!
