1. Socpe

This standard applies to splines with serrated flanks (serrations) and external ser

a constant space angle of 60, with 28 to 42 teeth and of nominal diameters ranging from 7m 60mm.

Serrations as in this standard are used for connecting hubs to shafts either with a

a removable connection, but which, due to the expected wear, is never a sliding fit connec As the teeth are relatively small, only small torque can be transmitted by such connection The following principles apply to serrations as in this standard:

a) Shafts have a uniform space angle

b) shafes may have curved flanks generated by machining with straight-flan

c) Where hubs may have curved tooth flanks (to allow for machining by mean hobs), this is to be separately agreed upon by the manufacturer and customer.

d) The "rough" deciations for shafts apply in cased where the force only a direction (torsion bar spring).
