London-Lund Corpus,Survey of English Usage,the Birmingham Corpus of English Texts 并把英语中感谢的最基本形式Thank you/thanks的主要作用概括如下:(Thank you/thanks是最基本的词语,在此基础上可以进行增补和加强,以显得更礼貌,如:“Thank you very much indeed”,“Thanks ever so”)

ⅰ承认得到好处;

ⅱ递给自己东西,认可得到好处;

ⅲ提前表达感谢(如服务,主动提供,许诺等);

ⅳ不再需要某人或某人的服务;

ⅴ接受会话结束的标志(特别是电话中);

ⅵ会话结束(e.g.Eisenstein & Bodman,1986;1993);

ⅶ接受主动提供;

ⅸ结合不同的音调,可以表示懊恼,讥讽,挖苦和唐突无礼(e.g.Eisenstein & Bodman,1986;1993;Okamoto & Robinson,1997);

如:“Thank you for not smoking”——请求听话者不要抽烟。

(根据Aijmer(1996)整理)

Conductor:Thank you.(递票时)

Passenger:Thank you.(接过票时)

Conductor:Thank you.(结束对话)

(1)A:Thank you so much. B:That’s all right.

A:Thanks a lot. B:Not at all.

(2)A:Excuse me please. B:That’s all right.

A:I’m sorry.B:Not at all.

(Coulmas,1981:72)

How to Analyze a Poem Going through each poem asking the following questions in an order something like this: 1.Who is the speaker? Is the speaker a male or female? Where is he or she? When does this poem take place? What are the circumstances? Sometimes you'll be able to answer all of these questions: For example, the speaker is a Duke, (eg My last Duchess). Sometimes you'll be able to answer only a few, and sometimes only vaguely: The speaker is unnamed, unplaced, and is addressing an audience that's unknown. No matter. You've begun to understand the poem. 2.What is the structure of the poem? That is, what are the parts of the poem and how are they related to each other? What gives the poem its coherence? What are the structural divisions of the poem? Think about the logic of the poem. Does it ask questions, then answer them? Or develop an argument? Or use a series of analogies to prove a point?

一nothing gold can stay 1简介:《美景易逝(Nothing Gold Can Stay)》罗伯特? Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides leaf, So Eden sank to grief. So down gose down to day, 破晓黎明延续至晃晃白昼。 Nothing gold can stay. The Road Not Taken Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both 可惜我不能同时去涉足 And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could 我向着一条路极目望去 To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there 虽然在这两条小路上 Had worn them really about the same, 都很少留下旅人的足迹 And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, 但我知道路径延绵无尽头
