1. o’clock的用法:指―…点钟‖, 用在整点之后。

2. 时间的表达:

(1)钟点的正读法: 先读小时,再读分钟;如需区分上

下午,可在时间后加a.m或p.m

如:4:30p.m. 读作four thirty p.m.

(2)钟点的倒读法:先读分钟,后读小时前

①分钟数≤30:分钟数+past+小时数;30分钟可用half;

15分钟用a quarter

PS:past 是超过,晚于的意思

如:8:14读作fourteen past eight

②分钟数>30:(60- 现在的分钟数)+to+(现在的小时

数+1)

PS: to 理解成―还有( 几分钟)到(几点)‖

如: 8:46读作fourteen to nine

3. half a(an)+名词单数:半个…

one and a half+名词复数形式:一个半……

half past…… 几点半……

3. quarter:一刻钟;四分之一。一刻钟,即十五分钟

4.词组辨析

(1).interested与interesting

interested感兴趣;对…感兴趣。通常修饰―人―,通常用

于:

be/get/feel/become interested in结构中

interesting令人感兴趣的;有趣的。通常修饰―物‖

(2).fun与funny区别:

funny表示―有趣的,滑稽的‖,它指的是一种滑稽而可笑

的―有趣‖,侧重点是让人绝对好玩或发笑。

fun主要指―有趣,好玩‖,不想funny那样强调―滑稽‖。

have fun 玩得开心

It is more fun to go with someone than to go alone. 携伴同去

比自己独自去好玩。

It’s funny to see a man walk with his hands and head.看见一

个人倒立走路很滑稽。

(3). go to bed 和go to sleep区别:

go to bed强调―上床睡觉‖的动作及过程,无―睡着‖的意

思。

go to sleep强调―入睡;睡着‖这一动作,强调人已经―睡

着‖。

(4).what time 和when: 两者都对时间提问

what time所问的时间范围比较小,一般用来提问比较精

确的时间,回答的时候一般用具体到几点。

when所问的时间范围比较大,回答的时候可以用几点

钟,也可以是上午或者下午,甚至是哪一天、哪一年。

三、句型:

1.-What time is it now?-It’s about six-fourteen.现在几点

了?大约六点十四分。(对具体时刻提问: what

time)

PS:询问时间还可以用: What is the time now? /What's time now? / Do you know the time now?

2. What time do you usually get up? I usually get up at six thirty.(在具体的时间点用介词at 表示)

3. What time does Rick eat breakfast? He eats breakfast at seven o’clock.

4. When does Scott go to work?

5. He always goes to work at eleven o’clock. He is never late.

6. That’s a funny time for breakfast.

7. Can you think what his job is? 你能猜测到他是做什么工作的吗?

PS:本句子是含有宾语从句的复合句,宾语从句通常用陈述语序。

8. School starts at nine o’clock.学校九点开始上课。PS:动词start的意思是―开始‖,动词begin也是开始的意思。动词start的后面可以动名词作宾语。也可以用动词不定式作宾语。

9. Thanks for your letter.谢谢你的来信。

10. Please tell me about your morning.请写信告诉我你早晨的情况。

两者都有―必须‖的意思

have to: 表示客观需要,即周围的环境、习惯等要求某人不得不或必须去干某事

其他形式:has to ; don’t/doesn’t have to

must: 表示说话人的主观看法,即主观上必要性,还用来命令或叮嘱。(否定用needn’t)

祈使句

通常用来表示命令、请求、禁止、建议、警告等语气。它的主语you(听话人)通常省略。其构成通常有以下几种形式。

1)Be型(即系动词原型be+表语+其他)。

如:Be quiet, please.

否定句Don’t + be+表语+其他。

如:Don’t be angry.

2)Do型(即系动词原形+宾语+其他)。

如:Open you books,please.

否定句Don’t +实义动词原形+宾语+其他。

如:Don’t eat in the classroom.

3)Let型(即Let+宾语+动词原形+其他)如:

Let me help you.

Let’s go at six o’clock.

否定句一般在宾语后加not。如:

Let’s not watch TV.

4)No+V-ing型(此种形式通常用于公共场合的提示语中,意为―禁止做某事―)如:No smoking!严禁吸烟!No talking! 不许交谈!

No passing!禁止通行!

No parking!不许停车

现在进行时

1)现在在进行时的形式是:

助动词be(am,is,are)+动词-ing形式(也叫现在分词),表示现在(说话的瞬间)正在进行或发生的动作。

2)现在进行时的肯定句形式

主语+be(am,is,are)+动词现在分词+其他

I’m watching TV.

3)现在进行时的否定句形式

主语+be(am,is,are)+not+动词现在分词+其他

They are not playing soccer.

4)现在进行时的一般疑问句形式及回答:

Is(am,are)+主语+动词现在分词+其他?

Yes,主语+is/am/are. No,主语+isn’t/aren’t/am not.

Are you reading? Yes,I am. No,I am not.

5) 现在进行时的特殊疑问句形式:

特殊疑问词+is/am/are+主语+现在分词+其他?

例:What is your brother doing?

6) 动词+ing形式(现在分词)的构成.

①一般情况下在动词词结尾加-ing.

如: eat--eating, do—doing,clean—cleaning, play—playing,

②以不发音的元音字母e结尾的动词,先去掉e再加-ing. 如:take--taking,write—writing,have-having come—coming.dance--dancing

③词尾如果是以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词.应该先双写这个辅音字母,再加-ing.

如:run—runing,sit—sitting ,swim—swimming. Shop—shopping.put—putting,sit—sitting

注意:weather是不可数名词,其前不能加 a/an

① It’s +动词-ing, 表示正在….

It’s raining/snowing/blowing/thundering(打雷) and

lighting(闪电)。

②It’s +形容词,表示天气状况。

It’s rainy/sunny/windy/snowy/fine/cloudy. (天气状况)

It’s cold/warm/cool/hot. (温度)

(2).--How’s it going?

–Great./Not bad. It gets better and better. It gets worse

and worse.

How’s it going (with sb./sth.)?=How’s everythi ng going

(with sb./sth.)?

答语:It’s great./All right./ Pretty good./Terrible./Not

bad./Just so so.

(3)Could you just tell him to call me back?

Could you…?你能…吗?表示礼貌地提出建议或请

求,希望得到肯定回答或认可,后接动词原形。

Could表示委婉的语气。

肯定回答:Sure./Of course./ Certainly./With pleasure.

否定回答:Sorry./Sorry, I can’t. I’d love to, but…/ I’m

afraid not.

三、补充:打电话用语

1、拿起电话,先说hi或hello

2、打电话问某人在否时:

Hello! May/Could I speak to …

Hello! Is that…. (speaking )?你是…吗?

Hello! Is ….in? 喂,…在家吗?

3、问对方是谁?

Who’s that (speaking)? /Who’s speaking?

4、让对方等一会儿:

Hold on, please.

Hold on for a moment/minute.

5、如果对方打错了:

(1)Turn left/right at/on Center Street.在中央大街处往左/右

=Turn right/left at the first turning/crossing/corner. 在第一个
