An Analysis of The Paradise Lost

Recently, I’ve just read the magnificent epic The Paradise Lost written by John Milton, whose theme was that Adam and Eve in the Christian Bible corrupted by Satan ’s temptation, and lost the grace of God. One of the main characters—Satan impressed me deeply.

To some degree, Satan is a successful model as an art image, reflecting the freedom of will. Though Satan is a villain, it ’s no doubt that he is a real hero. First of all, Satan is commonly considered as courageous and prudent as well as rebellious, and he is abound in the indomitable spirit. At the beginning of the poem, Satan rebelled against the God, as a result of which, he was finally defeated and driven out of heaven. However, Satan and his adherents were not discouraged. Even in hell, he still had an unyielding will, vowing to continue a fight with omnipotent God. As far as I’m considered he is brave enough to do so, In addition, Satan is wise, that is to say, he has not only simple knowledge but also wisdom and plan. After being banished from heaven, he planned to fight with God. Firstly, he chose the perfect place ever created by God---The Garden of Eden, where there lived the Adam and Eve. He paid much attention to the two people.
