Here,I would like to brief you on the information of The Great Temple on Qiqu Mountain

The Great Temple on Qiqu Mountain was bulit in Jin Dynasty . In the long course of history ,it had been enlarged and

reconstructed.Today ,it has turned into a complete construction complex .A renown chinese architect ---梁思成gave ita a name as The Musuem of Ancient Architecture. In 1996,it was resignated as the national major cultural relic preservation sites.However,it is its Literary Attainment Culture (文昌文化)that make it enjoy domestic and overseas popularity.

The Great Temple on Qiqu Mountain（七曲山大庙）was built to commemorate Lord Wenchang（God of Literary Attainment，文昌帝君）．Whose name is Zhang Yazi.It is the only cradle of chinese Literary Attainment Culture ,so it also called tht Home of God.(帝乡).

God of Literary Attainment is commonly regarded as the God to in charge of examination 、desitny of the learners.Daoist regard it as the God who master the fame and scholarly honor of official rank.

According to this ,we can see that , God of Literary Attainment is of great improtance to learners .Chinese worship this God from Jin Dynasty.

In Tang Dynasty,after the establishment of imperial examniation, God of Literary Attainment earned much more popularity. The night before imperial examniation ，the intellectual would go to Temple of The God of Literary Attainment to worship，hoping The God will bless them got good results .

Even emperor put Lord Wenchang to high position, 玄宗of Tang Dynasty ,entitled him as 左丞相，equal to present secretary of state.

In Ming Dynasty,there were specific buidings to worship Lord of文昌in each school. Also,during Ming Dynasty ,the temple of lord 文昌gained its present name as The Great Temple on Mountain Qiqu（七曲山大庙）.In the late years of the Ming Dynasty the leader of peasant army Zhang Xiangzhong led his army to fight in Sichuan. When the army captured Zitong，he went to the Temple，and said，"Zhang Yazi is the ancestor of the Zhang's. This temple was my ancestral temple.”So he called this the Great Temple.

In Qing Dynasty ,the Imperial Court would sent officals to worship on tthe third day of the second month in chinese lunar calender .It said that this day is the birthday of Lord文昌

Till today,chinese chinese intellectual will worship the Lord of 文昌before taking the college entrance examination.

Folklore has it that “in north there was Confucius,and south was Lord of 文昌.However,Lord of文昌earned much reputation than Confucius. Perhps the sentence-- “ the younger generation excels the older generation.”can explain this.

Nowadays,people in Zitong created a seris of music called洞经音乐)to show their respect for Lord of 文昌.This is one pieces of this music. 放音乐.Also this music can purify our mind and lengthen our life span.It has been resignated as the cultrual heritage of all human race by Music Council of the United Nations.Some of its lyrical are the creeds of Lord of 文昌.Such as do not poison the fish and shrimp, do not catch the birds,do not kill the cattle.(勿登山而网禽鸟,勿临水而毒鱼虾.\勿宰耕牛，勿弃字纸) These creeds accord with our nowadays enviromental awareness.Right?
