As a 24-year-old man, I was sitting on my mom's sofa and waiting for the pain in my back to ease. The lack(缺乏) of work and money forced my wife, our baby boy and me to live with my parents. We slept in my old bedroom and I felt down.

Since 1953, China has made a long-term plan every five years, and 2016 is the first year of the 13th Five-Year Plan. The 13th Five-Year Plan talks about where China will go as well as how our lives will change over the next five years.

People's income is always one thing that the public cares about most. China plans to double the per capita income(人均收入) of its people by 2020 compared with 2010. So in four years, a family of three will have an average(平均的) income of about 90，000 yuan every year.

But money is not the only thing that contributes to making lives better. The environment and public services make a difference, too.
