belong to意为“_,”没有进行时态和被动语态,其后接人称代词的宾格形式或名词做宾语。belong to sb就相当于be sb’s .

(1)must无人称和数的变化,后接。在回答must引起的一般疑问句时,否定式常用或don’t have to,意为“ ”,而mustn’t表示“”。

1. probably, possibly, perhaps/maybe 都可表示“可能的”,在这几个单词中,语义最强的是probably,其次是perhaps和maybe,最弱的是possibly。probably意为“很有可能”,可能性较大。probably 位于助动词、情态动词或be动词后,行为动词之前,也可位于句首。

但在否定句中,probably不能紧跟在否定词之后。

(1)There be 句型可与情态动词连用,There must be…意为“”, be动词用原形。

(2)There be句型中,不定代词做主语时,be动词通常要用(单数/复数)形式。当主语后的非谓语动词所表示的动作是由主语发出的时候,该动词要用现在分词形式,即构成There be sb./sth. doing sth.句型,表示“ ”。e.g. There is someone (wait) for you at the door.

处理语法重难点:情态动词must, can/could, may/might表示推测的用法。

(1)对不同时态的推测: ①“情态动词+do sth.”表示对现在事情的推测;

②“情态动词+be doing sth.”表示对正在发生的事情的推测;

e.g. They (一定)in the classroom now.

(2)肯定推测:①must用于肯定句,表示较有把握的推测,意为““,后接动词原形,表示对现在的推测。

②may用在肯定句中,表示对现在把握不大的推测,意为“”。

③could, might也可表示推测,常用在过去时中;但在某些场合下,为了使语气更缓和、更委婉,常用could, might代替can, may。

(3)否定推测:①表示否定推测时,can’t语气最强,指“”,带有惊异、怀疑的感情色彩。

②语气不很肯定时,常用may not 或might not表否定推测,意为“可能不,也许不”。
