we all know, the enrollment of the chinese school was

single:the entrance examinations, but now it is in the

process of changing and there are more and more

problem does still exist.It is that all pay too much

attention to the scores and look down upon the

importance of other abilities. All in all, chinese

universities is unjustified. The reasons why I thought about that are as follows:

Firstly, to some degree, the big amount of the students studied in the universities will weaken the quality of education. It is inconvenient for students to hear the teacher clearly in the class and for the teacher it is hard to take care about everybody in his class. And we have not enough teachers to teach such a big number of students in this whole country. Then, if it really did that, I suppose that many students who are graduated from the universities means that they are out of work. The situation of the employment is very severe now. Last but not least, is it right that the more students study in the universities means the more persons with abilities was born? I doubt that. Fast-food-mode-education can’t be fit for us.

北京市英语口语等级证书考试 概??述 一、总则 英语是学习科学文化知识,获取国外信息,进行国际交流的主要工具。为了全面提高北京人英语口语水平,北京市建立了英语口语等级证书考试及培训的制度。 北京市英语口语等级证书考试及培训重点是考查考生用英语进行口头交流的能力,而不是书写能力和笔译能力。要求考生能够听得懂,说得出。主要用以测试下列人员的英语水平: 1.各行业、各部门及各企事业单位的有关专业技术人员。 2.各行各业在职职工和全市广大市民。 3.面向本市教育系统的各级各类学校,包括小学、初中、高中、职业学校、民办学校、成 人院校及普通高等学校的在校学生。 4.英语自学者。 考试不受年龄、学历的限制,考试成绩合格者将被授予合格证书或优秀证书及证章。 考试范围以本大纲所规定的内容和要求为依据。 二、考试等级 根据用人单位的不同需求和英语学习者的不同水平,北京市英语口语等级证书考试由低到高分三个等级:初级(Elementary Stage)、中级(Intermediate Stage)和高级(Advanced Stage)。 三、评价目标 北京市英语口语等级证书考试重点考查考生用英语进行口头交流的能力,要求考生能够听得懂,说得出。考试总的评价目标是:通过初级考试的人员具有简单的英语会话能力,能听、会说,能够在一般交际场合和服务场合用简单的英语与外国人进行会话;通过中级考试的人员具有一定的听、说、读、写能力,能够在各窗口行业关键岗位以及各行业部门的一般涉外

学习日常英语口语的方法 学习日常英语口语的方法第一,如何用英文简单界定一个东西的技巧。 美国人和美国人交谈80%是想告诉对方what is a book 。我们中国人从小学到大学的课本尽管词汇难度不断加深,但思维逻辑结构却只停留在一个水平上。中国人常说where is the book?很少有人说what is a book?而美国的小学生就开始问:what is the book?这种where is the book?只是描述阶段,连哑巴也能做到。但是我想连大学生也很难回答what is a book?因为中国传统英语教学模式没有教会学生表达思想的技巧。 第二,如果已经学会界定,但理解还有偏差,那就要训练how to explain things in different ways. 一种表达方式对方不懂,美国人会寻找另一种表达方式最终让对方明白。因为事物就一个,但表达它的语言符号可能会很多。比如水,世界上就这一个事物,但却有多种符号来表达它。如果一个人懂8种语言,那他在世界上被别人理解的机会就会大得多。用汉语说"水"别人不懂,用德语说别人也不懂,但用英语说water,别人可能就懂了。这就要多做替换练习。传统的教学方法也做替换练习,但这种替换不是真替换,只是语言层面的替换,而不是思维层面的替换。比如,i love you,按中国的替换方法就把you 换成her,my mother,them等,这种替换和小学生练描红没有什么

区别。这种替换没有对智力构成挑战,没有启动思维。换到最后也不知道到底在love 谁,现实生活中也不能这么随便love(笑声)。这种替换句子的基本结构没变,我听不懂i love you,肯定也听不懂i love her。如果替换为i want to kiss you.i want to hug you.i've a crush on you.i will show my heart to you等,或者给对方讲电影《泰坦尼克》,告诉对方that is love,这样一来对方可能就明白了。这才叫真正的替换。 也就是说用一种不同的方式表达同一个意思,或者对方听不清楚,举一个简单易懂的例子来表达,直到对方明白。 对,比如爱因斯坦讲相对论,他用科学术语讲,除了科学家之外是没人听得懂的,所以爱因斯坦就用一个通俗的例子把相对论讲了出来。他说,什么叫相对论呢?两个lovers在一起,一小时相当于一分钟,而两个仇人呆在一起,一分钟相当于一小时,就这是相对论。他这样一讲,我想没有人不会明白相对论的。 第三,我们必须学会美国人怎样描述东西。 从描述上来讲,由于中美的文化不同会产生很大的差异。我们描述东西无外乎把它放在时间和空间两个坐标上去描述。但美国人对空间的描述总是由我及外,由里及表。而中国人正好相反。美国人说"我向雪山走去",中国人就会说"我从雪山走来"。时间上来说,中国人是按自然的时间顺序来描述。我们描述一个东西突然停住时,住往最后说的那个地方是最重要的。我们听评书常说,欲知后事好何,请听下回分解,中国人很认可这种压轴戏、抖包袱式的方式,而美国人听到这里可能会把收音机砸了:我听的就是what happened,但发生了什么我不知道,还要让我下回再

英语中的音变现象 Importance :我们都有过这样沮丧的经验,很容易听懂中国人说的英语,但是同样的对话一到英美人的嘴里,便觉得很难跟上,有时甚至是不知所云。这主要是因为我们说的英语通常单词之间很清晰,词与词之间有明显的pause, 但是英美人的口语会有很多音变,这些音变使得我们很熟悉的单词的发音变得陌生,难懂,给我们的听力造成了很大的困难,因此了解并使用各音变规则会帮助我们提高听力,使我们的发音更加地道。 Aim: 音变主要有连读、失音、弱化、浊化、同化、重音、缩读等形式:这些形式的产生可以归结为一个原则,即“Economy”—“经济”原则或称为“省力”原则 一、连读 连读有两种规则,分别为: 1、以辅音结尾的单词+元音开头的单词:要连读如:I’d li(ke a)nother bow(l o)f rice. 这里like / laik / 以辅音结尾,another 以元音开头,所以连读注意: 以辅音结尾指的是音标中的最后一个音是辅音,而不是单词的结尾,这如同u[ju:.]niversity 前面的定冠词必须用a 一样。 2、以辅音结尾的单词 + h开头的单词h不发音,与前面的辅音 what wil(l he) [wili]do? When he comes, I”ll tell him. ll tell him. 反身代词表示强调。He couldn”t come himself.连读、不完全爆破、浊化、弱读、失音和混同规则以及英式英语与美式英语发音差异一、连读在同一意群中,前一词以辅音音素结尾,后一词以元音音素开头,在说话或朗读句子时,习惯上很自然地将这两个音素合拼在一起读出来,这种语音现象叫连读。如:We have an English friend. 这个句子有两处连读:前一处是have的尾辅音/v/与an的开头元音//连读为/v/;后一处是an的尾辅音/n/与English的开头音素/i/连读为/ni/。还有一种连读叫/r/连读。在短语或句子中,前一词以-r或-re结尾,后一词以元音开头时,可将/r/与后面的元音拼读。f-or、the-re、whe-re、sist-er这类结尾的词,可以和后面的元音连读。如there are 读作 'ee?r?,如:They looked for it here and there.这个句子也有两处连读:前一处是for it合读为/frit/,后一处是here and合读为/hirnd/。 小结:连读的条件:相邻的两词在意义上必须密切相关,同属一个意群。连读所构成的
