1. What stops you from trying new things?

A: when I try new things, there is always the risk that we will not be happy with my choice. Just like I might try a food I have never tried before and end up disliking it. It could be too sour or too salty. It could be too spicy.

B: Due to my failure of failure and my fear of something unknown, I may not try something new. For example, if I learn to skate,I am afraid of falling and embarrassing.

2.What have you achieved in your life that makes you feel proud?

A : My paintings often get compliments 获得称赞from classmates, friends and families. Moreover ,partly owing to the hand-painted walls I painted on the walls of my dorm, our dormitories have achieved excellent results in the selection.

B : An accidental chance, I rescued an injured dog

3.Who do you admire for their achievements and why?

A : The person who inspires me is my father. He is a chemistry teacher. My father is not only a good teacher, but also a great father. He is patient with me and When I have some difficulties in my studies, it is my father who encourages me to work until I solve the problem. My dad is less good-looking, but I admire and love him.

B : The two people who inspire me are Martin Luther King who gave an amazing speech and stood up for what is right. He was strong and led his protests in a peaceful way, hand in hand. My second person is Emmeline Pankhurst who stood up to defend women's rights and getting women in Britain their right to vote. They are both amazing people and I hope to make a change similar to theirs when I grow up.

A: yeah, I'm planning to study abroad this summer.

B: There are many advantages and disadvantages

for going abroad. Are you ready to face them? A: You are right. That is what I worry about. As for me, studying abroad can help me pick up the latest developments of the living language more quickly, learn many new things to widen my views and broaden my minds, and develop my ability to coping with the routine matters such as renting a house and helping with the house work. What do you think of studying abroad?

B: oh, What’s more, those high-ranking universities abroad like universities in the Ivy League have more advanced facilities, education methods and ideas. With so many outer help, you may have a better development in the future. A: yeah, I totally agree with you! Studying abroad is not only to breathe new air, experience different cultural atmospheres. I also want to learn something useful. I wo n’t waste time and money.

1. Do you know your neighbors? How well do you know them?

①I know my neighbors very well,I live in the community,Opposite my home is an old couple,They are easy to get along with,and sometimes my parents will invite them over for dinner, Their children will come back when The Spring Festival is coming.

②Nope... I don't know them at all, even have never officially met them. But my parents know them well, They often say hello or go out for a walk, may be I've been out of school so I rarely get a chance to get in touch with my neighbors.

2. What do you think makes a good /bad neighbor?

①To be a good neighbor, the most important to do is to be kind. I don't appreciate that kind of neighbors who don't care about others' feelings and don't respect their privacy.

3. Who is the best or worst neighbor you have ever had and why?

①Mr. Adalric is a highly extrovert man with the look of an adventurer. I like Mr. Adalric much for his benevolence behaviour and his extrovert nature. Besides, he is the person who understands the almost every situation and comes to offer help without any conditions. Whenever he comes to visit us, he asks about my study and if I am in trouble with any of my subjects, especially English, he provides me the directives to study and in some cases makes the texts and issues clear to me. While the small computer is so light-weighted, it’s still very powerful to deal with various hard tasks

②I knew he lived next door to me when I was little. In most people ’s eyes, he was a good student who could sail through all kinds of examinations. But for me, he was not merely a

diligent neighbor, but a wonderful playmate and thoughtful big brother, though he was just two years older than me. Every day, we go to school together and go back home together. We play together, and taught me how to play Xiao. Although he blew not masterly, he taught me meticulous, true had a little the teacher's appearance

B:yep…I know, but I'm not one of them. My neighbor is an old lady with wisdom. I love talking with her. We all know old person is usually gentle and kind, and so is she.

A:Wow, I bet she've influenced you a lot.

B:Of course. She taught me how to listen to myself, how to stay calm when I'm in trouble, even how to fix my problems with my other friends. I share my happiness and sadness with her, and we express our wishes with each other during festivals. She is not only my teacher, but also my sincere friend. Her influence on me is so positive that I have to say every minute I spent with her was totally meaningful.

A:That's incredible! You are so lucky to have such a neighbor. I used to have a nice neighbor,I had several conversations with him and I often played chess with him. I like and admire this man very much. Though at first impression he seems to be

an arrogant person, but in fact, he is an intelligent, calm, good-hearted and charming person. He has travelled to many different places and has lots of life experience. I like his personality, honesty, morality and his great mind. But he moved away last year.

1. Do you often buy things on impulse and why?

①W ell I usually don’t buy things on impulse, if

I do like something, the first thing I think to myself is, do I have something like this, As for most things... I usually know or have an idea of what I'm looking for.

②Not often, I think It depends on the purchase. If I'm at the mall and see a pair of shoes at a reasonable price then I'll buy them, but for most of the time, I will carefully consider whether I need these things.

2. What recent product or service do you think is impressive?

Let me tell you about the electronic machine that I think is impressive. It’s just a Mac Pro, produced by Apple. It’s very small, nearly as portable as notebook, and can be taken away in my bag. Besides, it’s very energy-efficient which means that it can be running in my room all day

long very quietly. So I won’t be bothered b y the noise compared with other computers. Moreover, the cover of the machine can be removed so that it’s very convenient to upgrade the memory myself. While the small computer is so light-weighted, it’s still very powerful to deal with various hard tasks

I’d like to tell you about a recent purchase I made and the service I received which I thought was impressive. I bought a necklace from a small online shop that I found whilst surfing the net. It wasn’t a shop that I had bought things from before so I was slightly apprehensive about it. The delivery came beautifully wrapped in fine Japanese style wrapping paper along with a gift voucher for a discount on my next order. I was truly impressed with the care that had been taken in wrapping it and the personal note that also came with it. But what impressed me the most was the free gift that arrived as well. I wasn’t expecting that at all.

3. If you could start a business or invent a product or service, what would it be?

①I ‘d like to develop a campus software that will enable students to sign up for class, interact online, and make friends, It is also a lost and found platform,Campus card recharge platform,so that I can make our college life more convenient and interesting.

1.What did you dream of doing or being when you were

younger?

①In my childhood, my parents always took me to travel many places,including big cities,small towns, famous mountains and so on. Therefore,I like traveling and I hope I can be a tour guide in the future, so I can travel to many tourist attractions and meet various people and cultures,which can broaden my field of vision.

②When I was a child, my biggest dream was to be an artist, probably I thought I was good at drawing , and I think paint can be used to communicate concepts and emotions, but I had never wanted to draw for my career . I treat it as a part-time interest.

2. Are you ambitious? If so, in what way(s)?

①I think I am an ambitious person. Everytime I set a goal, I will take every effort to try to accomplish it, and won’t let it become a fantasy .

I never sit around waiting for my goal to happen. At the same time, I always have a desire to learn, to keep an open mind, as the saying goes’no one can cheat you out of ultimate success but yourselves.’

②I think I am an ambitious person. when I set a goal and I will do everything in my power to attain that goal. I never look at a mistake as a failure, or a spot, instead I take it as a chance to make it better, and remember that failure is the mother of success. And I think without an ambition we will have no purpose in our lives.

2. What kinds of problems are you good at/not so good at solving?

①I'm good at solving math problems with logical mind, especially the geometry. I think the problem solving process is very interesting. ②I'm good at solving problems about human relations, because I am an optimistic and responsible person and I’m good at communicating with others.
