Hot line feature
Enterprises will be able to configure the phone number of a remote area through the MOSA VoIP gateway as if it were a local phone number. For example, the Shanghai office's local phone number can be connected directly to the Taipei office through the hot line feature provided by the MOSA VoIP gateway. Least Cost Routing

One stage dialing
By using tie-trunk emulation, the MOSA VoIP gateway provides users with a friendly way of making on-net calls. While making such calls, users simply dial the extension number along with the prefix code, and the gateway will take care of the rest. Unlike other traditional VoIP gateways, which require users to dial the port number first and then wait for the greeting message from the PBX to dial an extension number.

Call bar ring features
Most VoIP gateways interfere with PBX barring features when they are installed. For example, traditional VoIP gateways require users to dial the gateway port number before dialing the recipient's number. If the port connected to the gateway is open to everyone for internal calls, anyone can place long distance calls through this port even if such calls are restricted by the PBX. The MOSA VoIP gateway however, has no such problem since it supports E.164 dialing and does not disable PBX barring features.

Configuration using the phone set
The MOSA VoIP gateway allows users to configure the IP address, area code, prefix code and other options using a regular telephone set, which is similar to most traditional PBX systems. The process can be done without the use of a computer and is simple to learn.

T.38 fax relay suppor t
The MOSA VoIP gateway uses the T.38 fax relay protocol and supports two fax ports. The fax ports can be configured through the system console, web browser or telephone sets.
No difference in dialing method
The MOSA VoIP gateway can be configured to follow the same dialing method as regular telephone sets used on the existing PSTN network. For example, without the VoIP gateway installed we would dial 011-886-2-82263368 from US to connect to the Taipei office through the PSTN network. After the VoIP gateway is installed, we would continue to dial 011-886-82263368 to connect to the Taipei office. Users will not notice that their call is being made through the IP network using the VoIP gateway.
