1.形容词和副词最高级的构成

1)hard hardest great greatest

一般情况在词尾直接加est;以字母e结尾的只加st;重读闭音节词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加est;以辅音字母+y结尾的先变y为i再加est;在多音节和部分双音节词的词前加most或least;此外还有一些不规则变化的单词,需要我们特殊背诵。

2.最高级的用法

1)我是我们班最高的。I'm_the_tallest_in_our_class.

2)他是三个人中跳得最高的。

He_jumps_highest_of_the_three_people.

表示三者或三者以上的人或事物的比较,其中一个在某方面超过其他几个时,我们要用形容词或副词的最高级,在句子的后面可以用of (in)短语来表示比较的范围,形容词的最高级前面一般要加定冠词the。副词最高级前面的the可以省去。

请学生们做前面课时训练部分。

1.比较级+and+比较级

1)越来越大bigger_and_bigger

2)越来越重要more_and_more_important

比较级+and+比较级,意为“越来越……”,当形容词的比较级是通过加more构成时,则表示为:more+and+more+形容词原级。

2.be up to的用法

1)该由我来擦黑板了。

It's_up_to_me_to_clean_the_blackboard.

2)我们是否去公园由你哥哥定。

Whether_we_go_to_the_park_is_up_to_your_brother.

be up to后面跟sb.to_do_sth.,表示“由某人做某事”,常用it作形式主语;be up to后面还可以跟人,表示“由某人决定,随某人”。

3.play a role的用法

1)他在这部电影中扮演了一个重要的角色。

He_plays_an_important_role_in_this_movie.

2)对于这次比赛的胜利,他发挥了重要的作用。

He_played_an_important_role_in_the_success_of_the_game.

play a role in有两种意思:一种意思是“在……中扮演角色”;另外一种意思是“在……中发挥作用”。play a role in后面经常跟名词,动名词或代词。

4.take...seriously的用法

我们要严肃对待这件事。

We_should_take_this_thing_seriously.

take sb./sth.seriously意为“严肃对待某人或某事”,其中seriously是副词,修饰动词take。

5.give的用法

你能帮助我把这本书给玛丽吗?

Can_you_help_me_give_this_book_to_Mary?或an_you_help_me_give_Mary_this_book?

give意为“提供,给”,经常用到的句型是:给某人某物give_sb.sth.或把某物给了某人give_sth.to_sb.。
