What do you know about different approaches to learning in China and the West? Are some approaches superior to others?

A: Hello everyone. Recently, I heard that there are some different approaches to learning in China and West. So, can we talk about it today?

B: Yeah, as we all know, learning in China is a serious thing. Students should learn a lot of courses whether they like it or not. And they should finish their homework on time.

C: For West?

B: In the western country, teachers teach more creatively, and students learn more breezily. And students don’t have to study that deep into a subject which they don’t need it or not interested in as Chinese students do. They just need to know the basis. C: On the other hand, parents’ attitudes which influence a lot toward children’s study also different in the Chinese and the Westerns. Usually, Chinese parents prefer to take place of their children to make decisions, but Western parents will not to do so.

A: From my point of view, creativity is more important than skills, creativity can improve our independent ability, so I think the west approaches are superior.

B: What about you?

C: I don’t agree. I hold the view that children are too young to control themselves. Without parents’ teaching by holding their hands, they may lose themselves soon and don’t know how to study in true way.

A: In conclusion, I think both approaches have their advantages as well as disadvantages and it is worth searching for a superior method that world combine the best of both country. What can you see?

BC: Yes. We can’t agree more!

different but reasonable way .

B:As far as I concerned,in the modern society,it seems that people can do nothing without computer. There is value in instant access to information and of course, email is a revolution on the way we correspond with each other.Besides,Many works can be finished on the Internet, and students can also study through it.

C:I think virtual life is too bad,we always can be fooled. And it is bad for our health. Not only

Do you think the Internet will isolate you from the real world?

A: Ok, now, let’s start to discuss this topic Nowadays the internet plays an

important part in our daily life. So what do you often do in the Internet?

B: Mostly, I chat with someone who I haven’t seen.

C: I am similar to you; I really enjoy the feeling in the virtual life.

A: I can’t agree with you. As we all know, the virtual world is complex. People could lie for their purpose, you are not able to tell the truth just through

words .And you will be isloate from the real world if you spend too much time on the Internet.

B: I don’t think so. As far as I’m concerned, Internet can not only expand our field of vision, but can also help us make more friends. Take my experience for an

example, I meet an Internet friend by chance, and we chatted happily. So, several days later after we got know to each other, we went to hang out together. We

talked about our life, interests and the future. From my bottom of heart, we are true friends now.

C: I can’t agree with you. I think those are just one-side. As we all know every coin has two sides. Nowadays, an increasing number of people are addicted to playing computer games and completely isolate them from the real world. Apart from it, many of the students chat on line all day so that they miss opportunities to talk with their parents and friends. Now because of addicted to the internet,

leading to the phenomenon of more and more out of touch with society. So let us bring our back to earth .

A: C ome on, you couldn’t ignore the reality that you will be in danger if you sink into the Internet. You might end up sitting in front of the computer everyday and go out to lead a real life

ABC: That’s all, thank you!

Dreaming and hard work, which is more important to a person’s success? Why?

A: Ok, now, let’s start to discuss this topic. Life is a jurney, many setbacks and obstacles will stop me from going ahead and achieving my aims. However,I don't care and I am not afraid, because I have a dream. So as a dreamer, I think dreaming is more important to a person’s success.Dream is the beginning of all things.Only when you have a dream, you will work hard and accomplish your goals.Dream makes us out of ordinary.

B: Yeah, I can not agree more. In my mind’s eye, the dream is in the morning, the beginning of the hope. It pointed out the direction of life. As we all know, dream likes signs of life, without sign however we hard work, we also can not go

forward. Just as a saying goes “As long as a goal, you have the power to advance the success.” There is no denying the fact that dream is really important to us.

Many people are successful because the dream and success. So I think dream is more important than hard work.C: I can’t agree with you. As far as I’m concerned, hard work is more important to a person’s success. Dream is only what you think, but not what you have done. Without hard work, you can only say, I think, I want and the like. From where I stand, I prefer to do more rather than dreaming.

A: But without a dream, all efforts are meaningless. Dream lights up the way we are on and guard us to the correct direction to our aims.It gives us the bravery to conquer all the difficuties. It keeps us going straight in the way of life.

C:

ABC: That’s all, thank you!

What were the obstacles that you have been faced with in your life and how did you overcome such difficulties?

A:Hello,Alice!

B:Hi~

C:What is wrong with you ?

B:I failed to win the first place in the speech contest.I am very upset.

A:I am sorry to hear that.Once I also have lost the competition and my feeling is in unison with yours. But you know, there is no point to crying over spilt milk. You should restore your confidence and get enough preparation for next time.

B:So what can I do ? To be honest, I was really too confident in myself, so I haven’t prepared carefully.

I did really think I would win the speech contest at first, so I told all of my friends that I would have such a contest. But in the last, the fact confirmed that I’m failed, and there’s no reason for me to meet my friends.

C:Don’t be so sad. Cheer up, you can’t defeat. Just as an old saying goes “Failure is the mother of success.” No matter what people will be difficult in life. Discourage means fail. So don’t be defeated by this small thing. You do not sad but for the failure to find reasons and overcome them. Only can you do these you will get advance and narrow down the advance of success.

A:Yeah, failure is not fearful, nobody can casually succeed. Life is a jurney, many setbacks and obstacles stop us from going ahead and achieving our

aims. However,we should never give up,because we have dreams and

friends.Dreams light up the way we are on .Friends give us the bravery to conquer all the difficuties.

B: You may right. In the past, I can not face any difficulties. Once I have suffered failure, I would in bad tempered. But from now on, I decide to change myself into a strong view person.

C: I believe that as long as you work hard, you will success.
