We are students from the nearby middle school, and we would like to spend a day in the community as volunteers this weekend.

During the day, we plan to teach the elder citizens English, owing to the fact that many old people are concerned with the 2010 World Expo. We will also read newspapers to them, since their poor eye-sight might keep them away from newspapers. What’s more, we plan to play games with the little kids and tutor them some basic alphabets. As is known to all, because of the “one-child” policy, many kids have no companions and are often left home playing video games all day long, which will do no good to their growth.
