2014-2015学年第一学期白堡中学英语阅读比赛活动总结英（音）体组为了提高我校各年级学生学习英语的兴趣，提高学生英语阅读能力，让学生更加重视英语阅读的意义，加强英语阅读的意识，我校决定举行各年级英语阅读竞赛。一）活动收获本次竞赛试卷均选取了课外阅读材料，其中选词填空，补全对话，看图完成句子等不同题型，依据文章内容设计的练习题，主要考查学生的英语阅读理解能力（如概括句意，提炼重点词句，联系上下文理解语句等）。从竞赛情况看，参赛的大部分学生有良好的阅读习惯和理解能力，竞赛时能够做到静心读文，认真思考，答题思路清晰，表达流畅，个别学生思维活跃，想象丰富，答题有独到见解。但阅卷中也发现存在一些问题，在此提出几点建议，望在今后教学中加以注意： 1、习惯方面。一是静心阅读的习惯。有些学生不先通读文章，拿到题目就做，断章取义，造成答题的片面性。二是认真审题的习惯。有部分学生由于看不清题目要求而失分。因此，阅读习惯有待加强。 2、技巧方面。根据练习要求，联系上下文做出判断，从文章中迅速准确地捕捉和提取所需信息，是阅读中十分重要的技巧和能力。试卷中有些练习题，都可以用文中原句作答，但很多学生找不到或找不准而失分，因此要教给学生捕捉和提取有用的信息的方法技巧。 3、能力方面。一是联系上下文理解判断的能力，二是语言概括和语言表达能力，三是想象能力。从完卷情况看，这些能力不少学生还很欠缺，或判断有误，或概括不清，或表达不流畅，或想象不合理，这都需要教师在平时有意识地进行训练，提高学生英语阅读能力。通过这次比赛，不仅提高了学生学习英语的兴趣，而且培养了学生英语阅读的良好习惯，更开拓了学生学习英语的视野。让学生们意识到培养英语阅读的重要性，感受到学习英语的快乐，体验到英语学习的成功，进一步增强了学生自觉学习英语的意识。本次活动取得了良好的效果，在学生中激起了一轮英语学习尤
