考研英语二大作文分析

——一张铭片一、出题类型

考研英语二的出题类型基本可以分为两种:

1、表格作文(table)

2、图作文:①柱状图(bar chart)②饼状图(pie chart)③趋势曲线

图(line chart)

二、出题模式及分析

考研英语二的大作文出题无非就是两种模式:

1、图表内数据有上升或下降的变化;

2、图表中各项目之间比例或数据的差异比较。

第一种模式其实没有实质上的差别,即都能从图中找到一到两个“变化较大”的数据,有时伴随着一个“变化持平”的数据,这些数据的变化基本都是以时间为参照对象然后加之以内容。

①柱状图(bar chart)

这种出题形式即给出一个图表,横坐标为时间,纵坐标通常为具体的百分比、数量或者金额(以2010、2011年考研真题和2006年MBA作文为例)

②另外还有可以通过表格(table)的形式出题,这种表格的横目为年份,纵目为各种项目,具体数据则为百分比,这种表格在内容上和柱状图是一样的,只是形式上的差异,具体看下图:

③由于图表作文的表现形式还有趋势曲线图(line chart)和饼状图(pie chart)两种,但万变不离其宗,趋势曲线图基本可以等同于柱状图:如下图

如果考饼状图,我想无非就是给出两个不同年份的饼图,图中几个项目,然后两图中各项的比例或者数量发生了变化,其基本可以简化为表格的形式,如图:

第二种模式则不为常见,也更抽象。题目给出一个表格,表格中只给出具体项目和一些比例关系和数量关系,要求对表格进行深刻分析,抓住重点,侧重点往往与差异较大数据有关从而进行进行作文,例如(2012年真题和2007年MBA 作文)

三、图表作文的篇章结构

真题中给我们的要求这几年都是:

1)describe/interpret the chart/table,and

2)give your comments

写图表作文的时候,通常采用三段式。文章的第一段往往分析图表中的数据变化反应什么问题或者趋势,概述图表解释的信息。第二段分析造成这一问题的或趋势的原因。第三段则展望未来的情况或者提出解决问题的方法或者建议。简单的表述为:

第一段:概述图表反应的主题思想;

第二段:分析产生的原因;

第三段:展望未来或者提出方法或建议

四、具体写作及模板定型

由于真题规定写作字数是150字,我们考试的目标字数是180字左右(不含标点),其实180字如果是按模板定型后来看不是很多,我的模板定型后就有100字了,第一段描述数据、第二段分析原因和第三段总结都需要自己写,这些随便写写都有80字了,阅卷老师在阅卷的时候首先就是看字数达不达标,然后再看行文结构,最后看内容,时间不超过10秒,如果是好文章老师可能会多看一眼,但如果功底不深厚的话,老师一看就可以发现漏洞百出。

字数现在不用担心了,然后就是结构了,上面已经说到,三段式,根据我从众多的文章中来看,个人觉得4-4-3结构比较好,由于字数不能太多,不能跟英语一的大作文相比,所以写11句话左右就差不多了,英语一是12句话左右。

现在就来说说最关键的模板问题,我从网上找了很多关于英语二的素材,由于现在英语二的素材很少,所以很难搜到一些质量很高的,之前找到了蒋军虎的讲义,个人觉得老蒋的作文那叫一个坑爹啊,如果大家都按他那个来,估计改卷的时候全部都是蒋家军,而且质量不敢恭维,结合了大概3、4份资料吧,然后截取里面一些能用并且都使用的句子,拼在一起,就形成了自己的模板(模板不是简单拼接,要能够结合众多试题的特点,有概括性的总结),下面介绍一下我的模板:

首先我是从主流的第一种模式开始总结的,上面已经说到了,第一种模式主

要是数据有比较大的变化,包括上升、下降和持平,这类数据在描述素材已经很多了,这类形式的模板如下:

第一段(40字左右)

①It is a (pie、line、bar) chart/table that is thought-provking and

②The data graph provides some significant statistic regarding(主题).

③From the chart/table we can see chearly that (项目1) soared (sharply)

from (数据) in (年份) to (数据) in (年份)【如果用百分比表示的数据have

④如果有重要的数据是保持不变

In addition , (项目3) was almost remain stable from (年份) to (年份).

第一段描写完数据就可以了,第二段即分析原因,采用总-分或者总-分-总得形式

第二段(34字)

①Some driving factors that contribute to the above-mentioned

changes(differences) may be summarized as follows .

②On the one hand ,(原因1),which leds to(结果1).

③On the other hand , (原因2) , which obliges (结果2) .

④Finally , (原因3) also should be taken into accout .

第三段(31字)

①From what has been analyzed above , it is no surprise to see this situation .

②So we may come to conclusion that (结论) .

③I am sure my opinion is both sound and well-grounded .

第二种模式是不以时间为参考的数据升降为前提的,而以数据差异入手分析表格所反映的现象和问题。模板中第一段①②句照常可以使用,第二段和第三段也可以不做变化,主要差别在于对数据的描述上。由于题目的重点是深藏于其中

的,所以要理解题目的重点所在,寻找出能反映社会问题的差异性大的那组数据(如2012年41-50岁不满意比例大到了64%,与其他两个年龄段的反差尤其突出),即抓住这个重点,对其进行描述。
