外研社英语演讲大赛大赛季军：从zero到hero

“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛以往名为“CCTV杯”全国英语演讲大赛。作为国内最具影响力的大学生英语演讲大赛，对比于我过去参加的“CCTV希望英语”演讲大赛，大赛对选手的语言、思维、知识和国际视野都更具挑战。由于这一届的比赛不必考虑收视率问题，也免了不少作秀的成分，堪称国内最具权威、最具学术的英语演讲大赛。

我在这次比赛中获得的成绩和许多人都分不开。首先，我要感谢四川大学外国语学院任文副院长的鼓励和教导，特别感谢费健博师兄的专业指导和辛勤培训，感谢尹江兄的一路相扶，感谢胡敏霞老师和牛津大学化学博士Thomas Sharples的培训与支持，感谢许林英语所有鼓励和帮助我的同事和朋友们。“Your help and support make that moment not only possible, but also necessary! ”

这是我第三次参加外研社举办的全国英语演讲大赛。经历了两次省赛的失利，第三次也在省赛38名选手中抽到1号。本以为上帝已将我遗弃，我却神奇般的挤入三强。也许抽到1号正是上帝让我从“zero”走向“hero”的第一步吧。

北京决赛的大致流程如下：89进60，60进18，18进6，6进4，最终我取得了全国季军。由费健博师兄带队，我和尹江代表川大参加，这样的组合真是接近完美。一路上三个男生聊得无比地high，期间除了相互练习，基本上是欢声笑语，谈天说地。

89进60的比赛，一半靠实力，一半靠准备。针对稿子提的接近一百道问题，完全可以让你成为这份稿子的绝对权威。刚开始我们仅仅是猜测评委最有可能提出的问题，后来费兄干脆就逐字逐句的给我提问，这一下来稿子已仅非稿子，完全是一本书的摘要了。

60进18是最为令人担忧的，由于淘汰率很高，即兴演讲又捉摸不定，当时的我非常紧张。我抽到的题目为：如果你能写一封信放入时空胶囊中给50年后的大学校友，你会写什么？经过仔细斟酌，最后思路定为：“know yourself, know your field, know the world。” 当时我上台后心砰砰地跳，加上要用书信体的方式给观众道来，因而整个演讲稍显拘谨。之前想到的几句punchline又卡得没说清楚，当时在场的费兄也为我捏了一把汗。我硬着头皮回答完两个评委的提问，感觉这下子没什么戏了。我纠结的走下台，等待最后的结果。当然结果就不用说了，但能进入下一轮至少也有一点经验：回答问题要切题，切勿套用之前背的不相关的东西。

18进6是如是进行的：选手抽签分6组，每组3人，每组分配1名之前排名前6的选手作为种子选手，3个人讲同一个话题，最后每组只能晋级1 人。我不是种子选手，我也没有那么多压力。我们组当时抽到的题正好是来源于“哈佛大学开放课程——公正：该如何做是好？”，说的是一辆刹车失灵的trolley car将会kill轨道前面的5个工人，在这一瞬间你可以将trolley car转向旁边的轨道，解救5个工人，却得kill另一个轨道上的1个工人。我对这类哲学问题，真是如鱼得水一般。在分析该问题隐含的边沁的功利主义的基础上引入康德的道德哲学。在以康德的“Starry skies above me and moral laws within me”结束extension speech的时候，我知道我赢了。到此为止，我已无所畏惧。

6进4和冠亚季军争夺赛是一个环节的，6个选手分别抽到一处代表中国特色的景点，有长城，黄河，孔庙，三峡大坝，鸟巢和天坛。6个景点中只能有一个入选国务院新闻办对外的宣传片。选手得先各自说明为什么要选自己抽的景点，然后与debating panel进行辩论。我当时抽到了黄河，在准备过程中，费兄给了我很多点子，我也渐渐发现自己已经进入flow 的状态。在结合费兄的点子和自己对黄河的哲学解释后，我进入了最后4个人的冠军争夺赛。最后的冠军争夺赛中，我发现自己如有破茧般的感觉，除了自己表情有点严肃外，其他方面都以进入最佳状态。可能是前面的6进4分数有些拖后腿，最后以第4名成绩告别了比赛。

I win your hearts! ”这是我在领奖时的感言。这次比赛我做了长期准备，背了大量的名人名言，浏览了海量的英文杂志和网页。比赛的过程中，我的状态是渐入佳境，到了最后角逐时，完全是：“not to pray for the task equal to my power, but to pray for the power equal to the task。” 人是可以在比赛中发掘潜力的，然而当这一切都结束，无论自己是季军还是冠军，都仅仅是一个开始。演讲并不是为比赛的舞台而生，它应为人生的舞台而生。

2014年“外研社杯”英语演讲比赛评分细则

2014“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛内蒙古大学赛区决赛评分细则 一、比赛环节（总分100分） 1.自我介绍：要求选手用英文进行自我介绍（限时30秒，本环节10分）； 2.定题演讲：要求选手以“Change the Unchangeable”为题，并于本题目 下加副标题，进行定题演讲（限时3分钟，本环节40分）； 3.即兴演讲：选手现场抽签决定话题进行即兴演讲，场上给出30秒准备时 间，演讲限时1分钟（共限时1分钟30秒，本环节30分）； 4.现场问答：由评委围绕选手在定题演讲和即兴演讲中所涉及的内容向选 手进行现场提问，要求选手在1分钟内完成作答。评委提问完毕，计时开始（限时1分钟，本环节20分）。 二、比赛赛制和报分情况 本次比赛共设有两个阶段：第一阶段包括自我介绍和定题演讲，第二阶段包括即兴演讲和现场问答。在第一阶段，每位选手上台后共有3分30秒的时间进行自我介绍和定题演讲两个环节。选手结束本阶段比赛后由礼仪收分并报分。第一阶段结束，中场节目后进入第二阶段。在第二阶段，选手依次上台进行即兴演讲，即兴演讲结束，选手停留在台上直接进入现场问答环节。晋级选手结束本阶段比赛后由礼仪收分并报分。 三、奖项设置 一等奖一名 二等奖一名 三等奖三名 最佳风采奖和最佳人气奖各一名 优秀学院组织奖两个

“外研社杯”英语演讲比赛心得 在这次“外研社杯”英语演讲比赛当中，我做为一名选手，感受颇深，这也是我第一次参加这样展示自我的一次比赛，应该对于我来说意义非凡，学到了不少。收获荣誉的同时，我的心灵受到了强烈的震撼和洗礼，参加此次演讲比赛是我人生中非常特别的一次体验，不仅仅是比赛的环节和考验给我留下了深刻的印象，而且这一路走来的心理历练也让我收获颇多。 通过这次的演讲比赛，首先我最想表达的就是感谢。正是因为老师们对我的全力支持，才有了我今天出色的演讲。在此，我要感谢我的我的老师李雁给我的演讲稿做的点睛式地鼓舞，正是因为有这位老师在演讲技巧和稿件写作上给予了我很大帮助和启发，才有我在演讲台上的“淋漓表演”，使我信心越来越强。其次，具体到演讲过程中，首先要有一个好的演讲稿，演讲稿的题材、角度一定要新颖，绝不重复别人的故事，你想那么多的参赛选手，如果学习的榜样总是那几位英雄，无论你多么慷慨激昂，评委们听得多了，便也不会觉得新颖了，因此你的演讲稿就没有什么亮点。一个演讲要有亮点，什么是亮点？与众不同。 另外还有六个方面的小技巧：1、一见倾心：演讲者着装得体、精神振奋、姿态优雅，会使听众有个很好的第一印象。2、一鸣惊人：在演讲开场的三句话内，要能在声音、情感、语调上一炮打响，打动听众，这样演讲就很容易成功。 3、一语中的：在演讲中，演讲者要在适当的时候，一般在热烈的当口上，以简单明确的慨括性语言，说出你的主题观点，最好能用上排比句式来表达，会给听众留下深刻印象。 4、情理交融：演讲之所以要有演的成分，是因为要先体现以情说理，再以理服人。所以在演讲中，演讲者要善于运用动人感人的事例、体验典型人和物、调动听众的情感，在引起情感共鸣的基础上，适时阐明道理和主题，常常会使你的演讲效果倍增。 5、言行一致：演讲中与听众的交流非常

曹丰 Our Future: A Battle between Dreams and Reality Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen: When I was in the primary school, I have a dream. I want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to another in no time at all. When I was in the secondary school, my dream was to study in my ideal university. And when eventually I got into the university, my dream was to graduate. How pathetic! When we grow up, we dream less and become more realistic. Why? Why do we have to change our dreams, so, so in order to let it be "fulfilled"? Why do we have to surrender to the so-called "reality"? What IS the reality actually? Ladies and gentlemen, the reality is not real. It is a barrier keeping us from all the possible fantasies. Flying, for example, had been a dream to mankind for thousands of years. A hundred years ago, "man could not fly" was still regarded as the "reality". Now if that was really the reality, what did the Wright brothers do? How did some of you get to Macau? Only when we believe that the reality is not real can we soar with our dreams. People say that our future is a battle between the reality and our dreams. And if, unfortunately, Mr. Reality wins this war, then I see no future of mankind at all.
