Date Code System is designated on Kitchen products /components under two Brands: Cuisinart & Waring which will be sub-divided for different countries of destination. Cuisinart
I.) For USA / Canada / Brazil / Chile Product - Date Code System:
A. Household Product :
a. 5-Digits to represent Date Code, and manufacturer code in prefix of the Date Code in Warranty Card (W/C), Gift-box, Master Carton and Unit.
For example :
WCB XXXXX ( X.… is the 5-Digit Date Code System)
“WCB” is “Manufacturer Code” of W/C
SYSTEM : 5-Digit, 1ST = YEAR, 2RD + 3TH = MONTH , 4TH + 5TH = DAY
e.g. 70410 = APR 10, 2007
#b. 3-Digits to represent Year, Week plus Factory Code (if necessary) be stamped on UL and Canada power cord plug blade.
For example :
“YWWF” means “Year / Week / Week” and “F” means Factory Code (See Remark #11 if necessary).
e.g. 921 = Week 21 of Year 2009
Remark :
The date code must be stamped on both unit and power cord plug blade
B. Commercial Product :
a. 6-Digits to represent Date Code, and manufacturer code in prefix of the Date Code in Warranty Card (W/C), Gift-box, Master Carton and Unit.
For example:

4-Digit to represent (e.g. Coffee Carafe or Thermal Probe)
SYSTEM : 4-Digit , 1ST = YEAR , 2ND = MONTH , 3RD + 4TH = DAY
For Month : 1~9 = JAN~SEPT , 0 = OCT, A = NOV , B = DEC
e.g. 3719 = JULY 19, 2003
3-Digit to represent (e.g. Blending Assembly)
SYSTEM : 3-Digit, 1ST = YEAR, 2ND + 3RD = WEEK of YEAR
e.g. 715 = 15TH WEEK OF 2007
II.) For Korea Product - Date Code System.
SYSTEM : 6-Digit, 1ST – 4TH = YEAR, 5TH + 6TH = MONTH
e.g. 200704 = APR, 2007
III.A.) For European Product – Batch Code System
SYSTEM : 4-Digit, 1ST + 2ND = WEEK of YEAR, 3RD + 4TH = YEAR
e.g. 4306 = 43RD WEEK OF 2006
III.B.) For Mating Components (e.g. Thermal Probe)
SYSTEM : 4-Digit, 1ST = YEAR, 2ND = MONTH, 3RD + 4TH = DAY
For Month : 1~9 = JAN~SEPT , 0 = OCT, A = NOV , B = DEC

Waring
Waring has logo of: “Waring Pro”(i.e. Household approved) and “Waring Commercial”(i.e. Commercial Approved)
Both Household & Commercial Product :

1. Household Product has Warranty Card (W/C): 6-Digit to represent Date Code, and manufacturer code in prefix of the Date Code in Warranty Card (W/C)
For example:

2. Commercial Product does not have Warranty Card.
3. For Mating Components (e.g. Shredding Disc, PCBA)
SYSTEM : 4-Digit, 1ST + 2ND = YEAR, 3RD + 4TH = MONTH
e.g. 0704 = APR, 2007
4. For Attachment packing Inner Box, Date Code on Box is 4-Digit.
SYSTEM : 4-Digit, 1ST + 2ND = YEAR, 3RD + 4TH = MONTH
e.g. 0704 = APR, 2007
5. For Blending Assembly
SYSTEM : 3-Digit, 1ST = YEAR, 2ND + 3RD = WEEK of YEAR
e.g. 314 = 14TH WEEK OF 2003
Remark:
1. Date Code location need to follow the CCL Private Label Product Spec.
2. Manufacturer Code positioned in prefix of Warranty Card need to follow Private Label
Product Spec.
3. If Product is rated as both Household and Commercial Use on Rating Mark, then need to
follow Commercial Product’s Date Code System.
4. If the USA / Canadian version Product is rated as Commercial Use, then its Brazil / Chile
version need to follow Commercial Product’s Date Code System.
5. Date Code should be clear and legible without overlapping with other letterings.
*6. Date Code on unit must be changed on weekly basis.
*7. Any material / component change on unit must apply a new date code.
*8. Supplier should record all revision changes by model and provide CCL for recording.
*9. Supplier should follow CCL Eng’s instruction to determine whether to add revision marking on Master Carton when material changed.

#10. Code No on Power Cord Plug Blade shown in picture.
The date code must be stamped on Neutral side of the plug blade.
#11. Factory Code :
a. If there is more than one production plant be listed into the product UL file, you must
stamp a factory code to distinguish the plant.
b. If a model is produced in more than one supplier, you will be requested to stamp a
factory code.
c. Factory Code can be referred to PS.
#12. Date Code on Power Cord Plug and Unit
They must be matched with.
