Why I Am Attending College我为什么要上大学

I’m attending college because it is an important step for me to live a way I want. In college, you can try different kinds of things and find that which one suits you best. Then you can work for it, get a degree, and start a good career. I don’t want my life to be arranged by my parents. English is a very beautiful language, and I want to learn it, so I’m studying English in college. I am even going to an English speaking country to continue my study. As a volunteer teacher, I’ve been to a very poor school to do educational support. They don’t have enough teachers, and they don’t have money to buy books either, but they value every opportunity to learn. Compared with them, I’m so lucky and I appreciate everything I have. Attending college might be the last chance to learn and grow before I get ready to go into society. It is important for me to control my own life and live for myself, making my own mistakes along the way. College has given me the opportunity to find myself and spread my wings.
