6. What is the greenhouse effect? Please state what you have known.

This greenhouse effect keeps the Earth warm enough to sustain life. Scientists say that without the greenhouse effect, the average temperature of the Earth would drop from 14?C to as low as –18?C

2Even slight increases in average global temperatures can have huge effects. Perhaps the biggest, most obvious effect is

that glaciers and ice caps melt faster than usual.

The meltwater drains into the oceans, causing sea levels to rise.If all of this ice melted, sea levels would rise by about 70 meters.Rising sea levels could flood coastal cities, displacing millions of people in low-lying areas.

3.Another effect involves changes inprecipitation, such

as rain and snow.As climates change, so do the habitats for living things. Animals that are adapted to a

Greenhouse effect: 上面的

Lotter: throw rubbish throughout of windows

In modern society, we tend to become more and more aware of our living environment or physical environment, because we is not clean as before. So many people now choose their house as to its environment but not its location and expenses to afford it.

I think the environment we are now living in

is deteriorating steadily. There are many example s:degradation of air quality, pollution of water,l oss of many plants and animals, widespread defor

estation, global warming, overuse of plastic bags, etc.

8 What have you done in your day-to-day lives to protect the environment?

11What do you know about the strategies with regard to time management?

One goal is to help yourself become aware of how you use your time

as one resource in organizing, prioritizing, and succeeding in your studies

in the context of competing activities of friends, work, family, etc.

12.What is your personal stance on academic dishonesty like faking data, stealing ideas or plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a serious offence in the academic world. This University takes plagiarism seriously. Academically, it is almost certain that the plagiarized work will receive a fail grade (and most likely a zero mark).

When we plagiarize, we take away our chance to learn. Another reason why this is a problem is that it is unethical. When we plagiarize, we are taking someone else’s ideas and claiming that they are ours. This is a lie and is not ethical.

Plagiarism by anyone, anywhere and in any position should be universally pointed out and condemned not condoned. We should all be whistle blowers in this regard as the integrity of academia depends on honesty through the ages.

Plagiarism in scientific papers is the immorality of the highest degree. Fighting ageinst plagiarism in scientific papers should be a priority in all countries of the world.

13.How can we live a meaningful life?

1. Know What’s Important

Know what’s important for you. Write down your top 5 things that you believe are the essence of how you want to live life. This can include things like “family time,” or “sing every day.”It could also include more complex ideas, like “honesty” and “simplicity.”

2. Pursue Your Passion

I believe everyone should pursue their passion in life. It’s what makes life worth living, and gives our lives true meaning and purpose. Each time you work on something you love, it creates joy inside you like nothing else. Finding a way to use your passions to give back to the world will give your life ultimate meaning.

If you can’t manage (or aren’t ready) to work on your passion for a living, be sure and make time for it every day. By working on your passion and becoming an expert in it, you will eventually have the opportunity to make money from it. Be ready to seize that opportunity!

3. Discover Your Life’s Purpose

If you had to give yourself a reason to live, what would it be? What would you stand for? What principles do you hold highest? Is your life’s purpose to help others? Is it to inspire others with great works of art, or you words? Finding your life’s purpose is a daunting task, and when I first heard the idea, I had no idea where to start. For methods on discovering your life’s purpose, I recommend Steve Pavlina’s blog entries on the subject. I also recommend reading the article What Makes Life Worth Living.

4. Be Self-Aware

Be aware of yourself and your actions. Remain mindful of what you do at all times, and make sure you are living life according

to your principles, your life’s purpose, and what you are passionate about. Review your actions each day, taking stock of those that strayed from your path. Work towards correcting any incidents in the future.Meditation is a great tool for accomplishing this task. It helps us increase our self-awareness throughout the day.

9. Simplify Your Life

By simplifying your life, you’ll have more time to do what fulfills you and gives your life meaning. It can also help reduce stress and make your overall life easier to manage. It can

also greatly improve your productivity. If you’ve never tried to simplify things before, it really is a great feeling.

10. Set Daily Goals

In the morning, before you start your day, create a list of 3 goals that you find fulfilling and meaningful. Make sure they adhere to your set of principles and beliefs. Tackle the hardest things first! Don’t make this list too long. By placing too many things on the list, you’ll feel the urge to multi-task, which is not good, or you’ll feel overwhelmed, which isn’t good either. By trying to do less, you’ll end up doing more.

Doing all of these things at once may seem daunting, but you can pick one thing at a time and slowly incorporate the ideas into your life. Life is about the journey, not the destination. Living a life of purpose gives both fulfillment and meaning to your journey.

14.How do you think of the college education in China? Chinese education has both many native and many international detractors; common areas of criticism include its rigor; its emphasis on memorization and standardized testing and the gap in quality of education between rural and urban areas.

"While China has phenomenally expanded basic education for its people, quadrupling its output of college graduates in the past decade, it has also created a system that discriminates against its less wealthy and well-connected citizens, thwarting social mobility at every step with bureaucratic and financial barriers. A huge gap in educational opportunities between students from rural areas and those from cities is one of the main culprits.

15What kind of teaching style is most efficient and effective for you?

Because my possessiveness in not good,so I like my teacher to help me control myself. But not the boring severity,i think interest is the best teacher,so I perfer my teacher s style is

colorful,in his class i can say anything i want to say.So i can learn the knowledge in a happy way.what is more,it can also put me to study by myself. So, as for me,cultivating an interest is the most efficient way .

1.People who are in other countries may suffer from culture shock. Please discuss about what culture shock is and what can be done to avoid and ease culture shock?

Culture shock can be described as the feelings one experiences after leaving their familiar, home culture to live in another cultural or social environment. Many people associate culture shock only with extreme changes of going from one country to another, but it can also be experienced closer to home, such as when traveling from one city to another within your own country. Even the most open-minded and culturally sensitive among us are not immune to culture shock.

Dealing with Culture Shock

?Learn as much as you can about the new location before you go. This means the good, the bad, and the simply different —from time zones, to what side of the street people drive on, to climate/temperature, to foods, political system, culture, customs and religion(s), to "Can you drink the water?" and "What type of electrical outlets do they have?", and more. If there's a language difference, try to pick up a few simple phrases, e.g., hello, thanks, etc.

?Remember there will be people who fit the image you create of the typical "Person from Country X" and those who do not. Clinging to stereotypes won't help you to learn more about a new country and its people.

?Be open-minded and willing to learning. Ask questions. If you are going to a place where people speak a different language, consider taking a few courses in that language.

?Maintain a sense of humor.(Perhaps the most important!)

?Knowing that the move will be a challenge, give yourself time. Don't be hard on yourself.

?Don't withdraw! Continue to experience the new culture.

Travel within the country, and visit cultural events and locations, such as museums or historic sites.

?Build new friendships.

?Associate with positive people.

?Stay active, eat well, and get enough sleep.

?Bring a few touches of home with you, such as photos of favorite locations and family members, your favorite music, or favored knickknacks.

?Keep in touch with people at home by Skype, email, phone, postcards —whatever. This can give you some comfort while away, and it will help you to minimize reverse culture shock when you get back home

2.Obviously there are a lot of differences between Chinese and American Values. Discuss about some of the typical cultural differences between you and your partner.

Firstly,Chinese people think highly of their country’s sovereignty and think their homeland is much more importa nt than anything.Meanwhile,American people think it is mor e important to respect their own profit and they would be les s willing to scarify their own profit for the country. Secondly,Chinese people like to cooperate with others and w ould like to achieve some goal on many different ways;with s uch methods,Chinese people might often get what they want, but sometime they would get lost if they use wrong method which are illegal, and sometime might hurt other people. In th e other hand,American people would much more prefer to d o something with their own power and avoid relying on other people as possible.By such ways, they can often learn a lot by themselves and wouldnt annoyed other people exactly. But t here are still something bad.For example,it is usually more ti me-consuming with one guys ability but not gathering differen

t people’s wisdom.

Thirdly,Chinese people like to be with each other and like to

make groups and join groups, and they are usually not dare to do something in their own without others’help. They are r

aised in an environment with their parents’over-protection.

Their parents would do many things for them so they do have to worry about anything, and which makes them desire to rel y on each other after up.Meanwhile,American parents raise t heir children in a very different way. They encourage their chil dren to finish their work with their own and are not willing to do anything for their children. With this method, although A merican people would get less cooperating spirit after growing up,they can be much more independent and get more perso nal surviving skills.

Last but not least,it is generously thought that Chinese peopl

e do not respect other people’

s privacy.Chinese people always ask others some questions w

hich are thought as parts of personal privacy by foreigners.Su

ch as“where have you gone”,“what are you doing”,“h

ow much is you clothes”,“what you living address”and s

o on,although sometime Chinese people are interesting in the information which might beneficial to them.On the other ha nd,American people hold a strong belief that one’

s own privacy can’

t be inquired without permission.Hence, they would get angr

y if their privacy are being pried by someone. And meanwhile, they would also respect other people’

s privacy with the same respect from each other.

3.Would you please discuss the spirit the Chinese nation

displayed in the face of Wenchuan Earthquake?

Human nature is always the same. These days, Chinese people

in the face of disaster is showing a strong national spirit in the

process of disaster relief by different roles written a moving

story, or a small movement in the world have moved the world to tears .

Chinese people in the face of disaster, courage and perseverance, solidarity of the Chinese people ...... finally let the world understand why this encounter numerous foreign invasion And a variety of disasters hit the country will not be brought down, can not collapse.

We moved our nation, as he is proud of the Chinese people. This is because in this world, in addition to China, no country's prime minister for two hours in the disaster areas on the fly; no country can build-up in just a few days more than 100,000 troops involved in relief; and no country can on a show Businesses and individual donations raised more than 10 billion; no country as a result of blood donation to support each other in the disaster areas caused by traffic congestion ......

These days, no matter where we go, as long as there are Chinese, we will be able to reap the numerous moving.

This is the birthright of national sentiment, which is the birthright of blood kinship, which is born with an indomitable spirit!

"I am proud, I am a Chinese!" It's not just for women that a person's voice, which is all the Chinese people cry!

Yes, if the next life, if the next life the next life, we have to do Chinese people!

China will never be defeated!

4.As a Chinese, how do you think of the fact that China held the 2008 Olympic Game successfully?

2008 Olympic Games held in China for the Olympic movement itself and the development of our country is of great significance. China needs the Olympic Games, China needs the Olympic movement. It promotes China's economic and social development.

The success of the 2008 Olympic Games in China will promote mass sports and competitive sports all-round development of China to become a real power of sports; will contribute to our country and the world of sports cooperation and

exchanges in the world of sports to contribute to the development; to promote Beijing as well as National economic development and social progress; will speed up the formation of all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging opening pattern, and further enhance China's international status to create favorable conditions; further promote the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation's great historical process.

For the organization of the Olympic Games in Beijing should be more as a process, not just the result of a chase. Because, from the development of the Olympic movement's point of view, the 2008 Olympic Games is a century in the development of a link. Games for the Olympic movement in China and the true meaning and value through the preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games at all stages, and much more than just a short 16-day tournament. From this point of view, both for our country and the Olympic movement, to host the 2008 Olympic Games is a natural consequence of the organization, the organization of the course is really important turning point.

5.Many people are encouraging courses in research ethics. Talk with your partners about the reasons why we should encourage courses in research ethics.

The role and importance of ethics education have begun to be recognized by the NIH. Guidelines for NIH research training grants now require a minimal number of hours of ethics education.

Ethics need not be taught within a single graduate course, but it is beginning to be recognized that education in the basic conventions of the field and in the basic approaches to ethical decision making can no longer be left to one-on-one mentoring alone.

As the ever-dwindling availability of research funds fuels the fire of competition, there will be increased pressure on scientists to bend or break rules. Research laboratories, particularly large groups where some students rarely see their faculty advisors, cannot be assumed to teach research ethics, or even to train students in all research conventions.

Whether scientific ethics is approached through a single course

or a series of courses or seminars throughout the graduate curriculum, it has become obvious that students need exposure to ethics in a number of contexts.

Research ethics can and must be taught in a formalized manner. It is our belief that courses in research ethics that incorporate a solid philosophical framework have the greatest potential for long-term usefulness to students.

While other methodologies may reinforce this material, a course of the type described in this monograph has the potential to help a student develop the tools to see ethical problems from a new vantage point. It is in this context and for these reasons that we designed our course in research ethics. An education system should be encouraged and supported by education providers,in which staff development and research in ethics can be provided and supported,so as to ensure a lasting structure for effective ethics education within the accounting curriculum.

1.Past,now and future The future is scary, but you can't just run to the past because it's familiar. 2.My dream Everyone has a dream. Now I want to say something about my dream. What is my dream? I often ask myself. In my mind, everyone shall have his own dream. I think that having a dream means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve the target. As long as we have a goal to be realized, we won’t be blind at least. My dream is to become a successful doctor, helping those sick people and saving their lives. Of course, to be a good doctor is very difficult, but I will do whatever I can do to keep everyone healthy. That's my dream. I want to try my best to help the poor sick people of our country. I want to let them have an opportunity to receive excellent treatments for their illnesses without having to pay much or just enjoy them free. China is a developing country which needs good medicine and good doctors, especially in the countryside and distant villages. Now I’m a junior student on Grade One, all my classmates and I are working hard. We all know that the entrance exam of high schools coming in the year of 2009 is a big challenge for us, so we must study harder and harder in order to go to a good high school. Thus after we finish our senior high school, we are able to go to a good university. Finally, we can find a good job in society. My dream is also that although at present I’m good at study, I’ll still try my best to be the study winner. Now everything I do is close to my dream. I feel life is fill with hope and is colorful, and I have enough confidence to realize my dream. I know that fantasy is something hard to realize, but dream can. I’ll work hard for my dreams, I’ll never give up. My dream I earnestly hope to lead a healthy and prosperous life in the future. Judging from my aptitude inclination and personality streaks, my ideal life will be that of a scientist, researching, lecturing, and writing books. As I am from a farming family, I particularly enjoy being close to earth. If I can afford to live a pastoral life in the countryside, I will feel most blessed. As far as social life is concerned, simplicity is what I intend to pursue, so I really don't need too many friends. All these will be mere talk if I am idle now. To attain my goal, I must make a point of training my body and mind. This is a
