In recent years, second-hand transactions have become quite common. Nowadays there are more and more secondhand goods in the market, such as secondhand books, furniture, appliances（器具）, cars, and so on. Why do so many people like to buy secondhand goods?

The following reasons can account for this phenomenon. Above all（最重要的是）, secondhand goods are cheaper than new ones. This enables those people who have poor financial abilities（经济能力）to buy the things they want. Moreover, secondhand goods transactions make it possible for people to make good use of the goods which may be useless in their hands. With the popularization of the Internet, it has become a common phenomenon that people express their ideas freely on the Internet. However, there are different voices on whether free speech should be advocated on the Internet.

Some people agree that everyone should be allowed to share his or her ideas freely on the Internet. They say that since we live in a democratic（民主的）country, we all have the right to free speech.
