①与所给短文及段落开头语的衔接程度;

②内容的丰富性和对所标出关键词语的应用情况;

③应用语法结构和词汇的丰富性和准确性;

1But before we jumped off the horses, we found that ①we had been off the beaten track and got lost. ②We had no idea where we were and it got dark. ③Exhausted and hungry,④I wondered if we could find our way back.

2On the fourth or fifth night, we had trouble finding a hotel with a vacancy. After driving in vain for some time, ①Mom suddenly got a great idea: Why didn't we find a house with a likely-looking backyard and ask if we could set up a tent there? ②David and I became nervous.

3Then Mac heard quick and loud breathing behind him...he saw instantly that it wasn't a dog at all, but a wolf: quickly catching up with him. Mac's heart jumped...., he fired the spray at the wolf. A bright red cloud enveloped the animal, and to Mac's relief, it fell back, shaking its head. But a minute later,....Then it..., tearing open his tent bag. He fired at the wolf a second time, and again, it fell back...(人与狼之间的激烈冲突营造了紧迫不安的氛围和情绪)

4“Hadn't I quarrelled with Tom, walked away and climbed to the high place, I wouldn't be trapped in this awful place, confronted with the danger of dying.” She regretted with endless anxiety, and then became asleep with shining tears in her eyes.(今昔对比和虚拟语气的合理使用放大了内心冲突,将情节推向高潮)

时,“He dragged his feet ho me.”就要比“He was tired.”

常用格式是“本体+喻体”,常用like、as...as、as if或as though引导。

典例5My parents are like a bright star directing me to the right way at night.

6Love is a lamp. The darker the background is, the brighter it looks.

7If we smile at life, life will smile at us in return.

I think the mother bird must be very proud of her children, who are able to find their own food now.

A is to B what C is to D(A 对B犹如C对D一样)。

典例8Books are to our minds what food is to our body.

9I still have hundreds of stories to share with you. I still have thou-sands of blessings for you. May our friendship last till the end of the universe!

10Since “life is a stage”, we are actually act ors and actresses.

Practice makes perfect. To learn English well requires a lot of practice.

What impresses me most is his famous saying, “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”

Surrounded by darkness, Jane sank into hopelessness. Tears of fear and regret poured down her face. She closed her eyes and the memories of living happily with Tom all came crowding in.

一般It was dark and Jane felt very hopeless. She cried and regretted what she had done. She closed her eyes and thought of the happy time that she had spent together with Tom.

1.与所给句子衔接是否自然;

2.第二段与第一段逻辑是否一致;

3.续写文章与原短文表达的中心观点是否一致;

4.是否用了合理的词汇使细节生动形象;

5.是否用了恰当的连接词使段落间过渡自然;

It was summer, and my dad wanted to treat me to a vacation like never before. He decided to take me on a trip to the Wild West.

We took a plane to Albuquerque, a big city in the state of New Mexico. We reached Albuquerque in the late afternoon. Uncle Paul, my dad's friend, picked us up from the airport and drove us up to his farm in Pecos.

His wife Tina cooked us a delicious dinner and we got to know his sons Ryan and Kyle. My dad and I spent the night in the guest room of the farm house listening to the frogs and water rolling down the river nearby. Very early in the morning, Uncle Paul woke us up to have breakfast.“The day starts at dawn on my farm,”he said. After breakfast, I went to help Aunt Tina feed the chickens, while my dad went with Uncle Paul to take the sheep out to graze(吃草).I was impressed to see my dad and Uncle Paul riding horses. They looked really cool.

In the afternoon, I asked Uncle Paul if I could take a horse ride, and he said yes, as long as my dad went with me. I wasn't going to take a horse ride by myself anyway. So, my dad and I put on our new cowboy hats, got on our horses, and headed slowly towards the mountains. “Do n't be late for supper,”Uncle Paul cried,“and keep to the track so that you don't get lost!”“OK!”my dad cried back. After a while Uncle Paul and his farm house were out of sight. It was so peaceful and quiet and the colors of the brown rocks, the deep green pine trees, and the late afternoon sun mixed to create a magic scene. It looked like a beautiful woven(编织的)blanket spread out upon the ground just for us.

Paragraph 1:

Suddenly a little rabbit jumped out in front of my horse. This unexpected appearance frightened my horse, which made it run wildly. I tried my best to control it, but in vain. Frightened as I was, I tried to keep my balance to prevent myself from falling off. Fortunately, minutes later, the horse stopped before a river, out of breath, and so did I. At that moment, my dad also came up. Seeing I was OK, he was quite relieved. But it was clear that we got lost. Paragraph 2:

We had no idea where we were and it got dark. We didn't know where the farm house was. What we could do was to go back along the previous track slowly. But it was really difficult for us in such a dark situation. Just as we were at the point of desperation, we heard a faint voice from the distance. “It must be Uncle Paul,” I said. So we cried back with excitement. Finally, Uncle Paul safely brought us back home. What an amazing ride!

A Vacation with My Mother

I had an interesting childhood. It was filled with surprises and amusements, all because of my mother—loving, sweet, yet absent-minded and forgetful. One strange family trip we took when I was eleven tells a lot about her.

My two sets of grandparents lived in Colorado and North Dakota, and my parents decided to spend a few weeks driving to those states and seeing all the sights along the way. As the first day of our trip approached, David, my eight-year-old brother, and I unwillingly said good-bye to all of our friends. Who knew if we'd ever see them again? Finally, the moment of our departure arrived, and we loaded suitcases, books, games, camping equipment, and a tent into the car and bravely drove off. We bravely drove off again two hours later after we'd returned home to get the purse and traveler's checks Mom had forgotten.

David and I were always a little nervous when using gas station bathrooms if Mom was driving while Dad slept:“You stand outside the door and play looko ut(放哨)while I go, and I'll stand outside the door and play lookout while you go.” I had terrible pictures in my mind:“Honey, where are the kids?” “What?! Oh, Gosh...I thought they were being awfully quiet.” We were never actually left behind in a strange c ity, but we weren't about to take any chances.

On the fourth or fifth night, we had trouble finding a hotel with a vacancy. After driving in vain for some time, Mom suddenly got a great idea:Why didn't we find a house with a likely-looking backyard and ask if we could set up tent there? David and I became nervous. To our great relief, Dad turned down the idea. Mom never could understand our objections(反对). If a strange family showed up on her front doorstep, Mom would have been delighted. She thinks everyone in the world is as nice as she is. We finally found a vacancy in the next town.

Paragraph 1:

The next day we remembered the brand-new tent we had brought with us. We decided to camp along the river. The views there were surprisingly beautiful—the warm sunshine, the fresh air, the clean water. We sat on the grass, enjoying the splendid nature. However, when Dad was about to put up our tent, he was disappointed to find that it had been left in the hotel. Well, Dad had to go back to fetch it to continue our camping.

Paragraph 2:

We drove through several states and saw lots of great sights along the way. Every time we got to a new place, Mom would cheer up like a child. She would get off the car excitedly, laughing and dancing around. Together we enjoyed the modern sights in the big cities, the historical buildings in the small towns and the amazing scenery in nature. When we came back to the hotel after the tiring but excellent visit, Mom would hug us and kiss us on our faces. How sweet she was! Absent-minded and forgetful as she was, she never forgot to express her love to us.

Writing 3(2017

On a bright, warm July afternoon, Mac Hollan, a primary school teacher, was cycling from his home to Alaska with his friends. One of his friends had stopped to make a bicycle repair, but they had encouraged Mac to carry on, and they would catch up with him soon. As Mac pedaled(骑行)along alone, he thought fondly of his wife and two young daughters at home. He hoped to show them this beautiful place someday.

Then Mac heard quick and loud breathing behind him. “Man, that's a big dog!”he thought. But when he looked to the side, he saw instantly that it wasn't a dog at all, but a wolf, quickly catching up with him.

Mac's heart jumped. He found out his can of bear spray. With one hand on the bars, he fired the spray at the wolf. A bright red cloud enveloped the animal, and to Mac's relief, it fell back, shaking its head. But a minute later, it was by his side again. Then it attacked the back of Mac's bike, tearing open his tent bag. He fired at the wolf a second time, and again, it fell back only to quickly restart the chase(追赶).

Mac was pedaling hard now. He waved and yelled at passing cars but was careful not to slow down. He saw a steep uphill climb before him. He knew that once he hit the hill, he'd be easy caught up and the wolf's teeth would be tearing into his flesh.

At this moment, Paul and Becky were driving their car on their way to Alaska. They didn't think much of it when they saw two cyclists repairing their bike on the side of the road.

A bit later, they spotted what they, too, assumed was a dog running alongside a man on a bike. As they got closer, they realized that the dog was a wolf. Mac heard a large vehicle behind him. He pulled in front of it as the wolf was catching up fast, just a dozen yards away now.

I wouldn’t be in this business if it weren’t for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things that he thought were important. Mom, I’ll be there for the funeral.” Jack said. Busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser’s funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away. The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time, which was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture … Jack stopped suddenly. “What’s wrong, Jack?” his Mom asked. “The box is gone,” he said. “What box?” Mom ask ed. “There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he’d ever tell me was ‘the thing I value most’,” Jack said. It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it. “Now I’ll never know what was so valuable to him,” Jack said sadly. 1.

Back then I was 13 years old and always felt unhappy with Mom. But little did I know that this trip was going to be a special one. A pot of flowers sat in the back seat, whose heavenly scent filled the car. Suddenly, in the middle of nowhere, my mom pulled over. “What are you doing?” I cried, fearing that the car had broken down and we’d be stuck there, so far from home. But that wasn’t the case. My mom hopped out of the car, grabbing the flowers from the back seat. “It’ll just be a minute,” she called back through the open windows. My eyes impatiently skimmed the edge of the road before settling on a little sign showing that it was a nursing home (养老院). I looked back at the building, somewhat annoyed, as my mom reappeared, empty-handed. Before she started the car, curiosity drove me to ask, “Do you know anyone there?” She shook her head. “Then what did you do with the flowers?” She smiled slightly, “I gave them to the receptionist (接待员).” “What?” She laughed at my confusion. “I told the receptionist to give the flowers to whoever needed them, especially those who haven’t gotten any.” 1
