空气开关（英文名：Air switch），又名空气断路器，是断路器的一种，是一种只要电路中电流超过额定电流就会自动断开的开关。空气开关是用来做电路保护的，一旦出现短路事故就会断开电路，因为采用空气作为灭弧介质，所以成为空气开关。其基本原理是短路电流路断开。远大于正常负载电流，短路电流导致脱扣器脱扣，动触头在弹簧作用下与静触头分开，使得电路断开。
