Teaching procedures :

Step 1 Free talk

Ask some students about What will you do if it rains\is sunny?

Step 2: Show the language goal

Show the language goal to make the students know what they’ll learn in this class .

Step 3 leading-in

Show some pictures and learn the new words. million, medical , research

Step 4 Presentation

1 .Show the students a picture of lots of money . Ask : What would you do if you had a lot of money ? ( Students can answer in Chinese )

2 . Let the Ss read SB Page 26 and answer the question “ What would you do if you had a lot of money ? ” I’ll show them some pictures to help them .

3 . Explain something about “ If I had a lot of money , I would …”.

Note: would+do if+一般过去式.

Step 5 Practice ( 1a )

Call some students to read the phrases on Page 26 . Ask students to write down other answers in 1a . Read the phrases , students repeat .

Step 6 Listening ( SB Page 26, 1b )

1.Read the instructions to the students and make sure students know what to do .

2.Play recorder and check the answers . The answers are : 2.1.4.3

Step 7 Practise

1.First students work in pairs to talk about the picture .

2.Then ask several pairs to present their dialogues .

Step 8 Summary

In pairs , students talk about what they’ve learned in this class . Ask some students to tell me in class . Explain something about them if it is necessary .Then do exersices in class . Step 9 Homework

Get the students to write some sentences about their family by using “would+do if+一般过去式”.
