如with a heart to heart( 心情沉重) 、heart and soul( 全心全意) 、heart to heart( 心心相印) 。 Strike while the iron is hot(趁热打铁);move haste, less speed ( 欲速则不达);to pass fish eyes for pearls( 鱼目混珠) ;castles in the air(空中楼阁);to fish in troubled waters(混水摸鱼);to be on thin ice(如履薄冰);to be out at elbows(捉襟见肘);One boy is a boy,two boys half a boy, three boys no boy.(一个和尚挑水吃,两个和尚抬水吃,三个和尚没水吃。)。

例: Man proposes, God disposes. God help those who help themselves. God sends meat and the devil sends cooks. Each cross hath its own inscription.

Never cast your pearls before swine. Judge not according to appearance. Great men are not always wise.
