Abstract: Translation is not simply a transfer of language pattern but that of culture pattern and the process of culture exchange. In recent years, along with the intense of the globalization and the increase of cross-culture activities, the focus of translation is

gradually shifted from the language level to culture level. Poetry is a distinctive literary style which features rules of rhyming and highly concise language. Poetic flavor is the most important for a poem. The distinctiveness of poetry constitutes the difficulties in the translation of Chinese poetry into English. Through the analysis of the English versions of some poems in Hongloumeng, this paper indicates that how to translate poetry in Hongloumeng by cultural strategies.

Hongloumeng, a monumental work in the history of Chinese literature，is one of the outing standing representations

of centuries-old Chinese culture. Involving many literary styles, including narratives, dialogues, poetry, antithetical couplets, etc. it is regarded as a work of “embodying diversion styles”.This characteristic of “embodying diversiform styles”is also reflected in its traditional poetry .The beautiful poems not only form an integral part of the whole novel，but also embrace almost every aspect of Chinese traditional culture. Honglouumeng is a great classical Chinese novel written in the mid-eighteenth century during the reign of Emperor Qianlong（1736—1798）of the Qing Dynasty (1644—1911). Interviewed with the tragic love between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu, this novel describes various contradictions

in four great aristocratic families represented by family of Jia, and displays many a factor of Chinese feudal culture, including clothing , food, architecture, and system, conventions, philosophy, education and art etc. The great novel involves more than two hundred beautiful and well-designed traditional verses which not only form an integral part of the whole work, but also reflect Chinese traditional culture.

This partitioning into three main functions was devised by Von Neumann during the 1940s, and was not conceived especially for microcomputers. Almost every computer ever made has been designed with this structure, and despite the enormous range in their physical forms, they have all been of essentially the same basic design. In a microprocessor based system the processing will be performed in the microprocessor itself. The storage will be by means of memory circuits and the communication of information into and out of the system will be by means of special input/output(I/O) circuits. It would be impossible to identify a particular piece of hardware which performed the counting in a microprocessor based clock because the time would be stored in the memory and incremented at regular intervals but the microprocessor. However, the software which defined the system’s behavior would contain sections that performed as counters. The apparently rather abstract approach to the architecture of the microprocessor and its associated circuits allows it to be very flexible in use, since the system is defined almost entirely software. The design process is largely one of software engineering, and the similar problems of construction and maintenance which occur in conventional engineering are encountered when producing software. The figure1.1 illustrates how these three sections within a microcomputer are connected in terms of the communication of information within the machine.
