外国语学院硕士毕业论文要求及格式

外国语研究生毕业论文写作要求及格式

一、基本要求

1.有一定的理论意义或实用价值,论点清楚、结论正确。

2.能表明作者具有坚实的理论基础和系统的专门知识。

3.能表明作者具有从事科研工作能力,掌握了本课题的研究方法和实验技能。4.具有一定的创新性。

5.论文写作要求:概念清晰,分析严谨;数据真实可靠,对结论有一定的阐述与分析。

6.论文用英语撰写,英文字数应在1.8-2万单词左右(60页以上)。

7.参考文献不得低于50本。

8.一篇完整的毕业论文,一般由题目(标题)、摘要、目录、引言、正文、结论、参考文献、读硕期间学术成果、声明、学位论文版权使用授权书、谢辞等几部分组成。还要有封面和封底。最好是到同一地点打印、装订成册。

9.论文的装订顺序为:封面--摘要(中文、英文)--目录(中文、英文)--(表格或图表清单)--(符号、缩略语等注释表)--正文--参考文献—(Appendix I;

Appendix II...)---、读硕期间学术成果--声明--学位论文版权使用授权书--谢辞--封底。

注意:在输入英文时,英文的标点符号后面应留有一空格(前引号和括号例外)。

二、具体要求

参考文献的具体写法(见下面样本):

先写英文文献:英文文献应按照字母顺序排列;后写中文文献,中文文献应按照―姓‖的拼音字母顺序排列。(注意:红色部分为说明,学生自己的参考文献不需要出现红色部分):

1、夹注中写作者、出版时间和页码,英文名字写姓,汉语名字写姓的拼音。例如:

―… personal experience…may entail making a judgment about the correspondence between the new information and the experience …‖ (Widdowson, 1999, p. 342) (Wang,2007, p.168)

2、如果一本书有两个作者,英文的写法为:(Lakoff & Johnson, 1980, p.23)

汉语的写法为:(Wang & Li,2008, p.12)

3、如果一本书有三五个作者,第一次写下所有作者;以后再引用时,只需写下

第一作者的姓,具体写法为:(Lakoff et al., 1987, p.290)

4、如果在论文中已经提到作者,就只需写出版时间。例如:

Naiman et al. (1978) found a similar relationship, ...

5、如果一部著作是两个或更多的同姓作者所著,必须把作者名字的起首字母放在括号中。

6、如果夹注是指前面引用的句子,放在该句子句号的前面。

7、如果同一作者的两部著作被引用,只需要写一次作者的姓,然后按照出版顺序写出出版时间。例如:

(Biggs, 1979 ; 1987 ; 2007)

8、如果在括号中引证的是不同作者的两部或多部著作,排列顺序要根据作者姓的字母。例如:

(Baeley, 1969 ; 1980 ; Clement et al., 1978 ; Gardner & Lambert, 1972 ; Gliksman, 1976 ; Sposky, 1969)

引用:

如果引用超过40个词,那就称为成段引用,引用时需要另起一段,第一行从左边缩进5个空格,下面每一行跟上面的对齐,大段引用不需要引号。例如:The dog has advantages in the way of uselessness as well as in special gifts of temperature. He is often spoken of…as the friend of man, and his intelligence and fidelity are praised. The meaning of this is that the dog is man’s servant and that he was the gift of an unques tioning subservience … (Veblen, 2000, p.210)

?Italicize the titles of longer works such as books, novels, edited collections, movies, television series, documentaries, or albums: The Closing of the American Mind; The Wizard of Oz; Friends.

Use quotations marks for:

?Titles of short or minor works

?Songs

?Short Stories

?Essays

?Short Poems

?One Act Plays

?Other literary works shorter than a three act play or complete book

?Titles of sections from longer works

?Chapters in books

?Articles in newspapers, magazines, or journals

?Episodes of television and radio series

Diagrams and tables

?Tables should have a heading(placed above them) and diagrams or pictures should have a caption(placed below them) to explain their relationship with and relevance to the text.

Number all tables sequentially as you refer to them in the text (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), likewise for figures (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.). Abbreviations, terminology, probability level values must be consistent across tables and figures in the same article. Likewise, formats, titles, and headings must be consistent. Do not repeat the same data in different tables.
