Though going for a walk is ordinary in Britain, it is just not a part of the American idea. An English reporter who was just walking along the road in Los Angeles was questioned by the policeman because it seemed strange to do so. People can find side-walks beside roads only in town centers. Some suburban(郊区的) roads are so bad that cars have to travel very slowly----too slowly to be dangerous to children.
