Here is my idea about how a friend is like. Firstly, a friend is someone you can share your secrets. If you tell him a secret, never will he talks about it with anybody else. Besides, a friend is always good listener when you need one. After hear your sad stories, he will say some words that is nice and warm. Still, your happiness makes him happily too. What's more, a good friend is willing to offer the help to which you need, or can at least give you some advices. In a word, friends are those you like and trust, and you will enjoy every minute that you spent with them.

I first met Li Ming at a friend birthday party five years ago. Then I invited Li Ming over in my place. We listen to my CDs together and soon become best friends. Three years before, Li Ming's parents invited I to spend two wonderful week in Qingdao with them during the summer holiday. Li Ming and I loved walking along the beautifully beaches there. Last year I was ill but had to stay in hospital for a week. Li Ming came see me every day. Then his father has changed jobs and they moved to another city. Since then we haven't see each other much, but we've kept writing to each other.

Christie was one of my best friend at high school. At that time, we often spend time together. Thank to her help, I made great progress in my study. Last year, she decided study abroad. In other words, we would be separated for long time. Before her leaving off, I prepared a gift to show my best wishes to him. She said it was the best gift she has ever had. From then on, we've kept touch with each other through e-mails. I look forward to see her again in the near future.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I'll unable to control myself and forget all about my

study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can't accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day's hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn't be forbidden to watch TV.

It was 7:15 in the morning of February 8, 2007. I was walking along Park Road towards the east while an old man came out of the park on the other sides of the street. As is known by all, nowadays the Internet is playing more and more important part in our daily life. On it, we can only read news at home and abroad but also get so much information as possible. We are often send e-mails to our classmates or our teachers or make telephone call to our families as well as our friends. However, we can go to school on the net, read different kinds of books and even teach myself English. We can also enjoy music, watching sports and play computer games on the net. We can do shopping even with leaving our homes.

The weather was so hot but so terrible that I could hardly keep on studying. When 1 open my window, I found out the sun was shining and the sky was blue. A cool and pleased wind was blowing. The trees were green and the flowers was red. It seemed as like they were saying hello to me and waving to me. A group children were swimming and playing in the cool or clear water. Everything was looked bright and wonderful. Everybody was having good time in this pleasant place.

1 lived in this city for a few years, but before that I lived with my family in a farm far away from here. Life is very different between the two places, but I like all of them. In a country it is very quiet since there are not many people, lived around. The car is clean and everything that meets your eyes are beautiful.
