these sliding doors(sliding door sound)we've got the kitchen.It's quite small but very modern.A gas cooker here,a microwave,lots of cupboards,and here next to the sink,a dishwasher.
R:How about a washing machine?
A:Oh yes,over there in the corner.OK....now let's go towards the back of the flat to the bedrooms.
R:OK.
A:Here,next to the toilet is the bathroom with a bath and gas-heated shower.Again it's very
modern.Now,here straight ahead is the small bedroom,and here to the left is the master bedroom.
R:What size are they?
A:This one is 12 feet by 11 and the smaller bedroom is eight by seven-and-a-half.
R:Seems very nice.Is there central heating?
A:No,but every room's got new electric storage heaters which are very economical.
R:Sounds fine.

I live in a two-bedroomed flat near Camden Station in North London.It's on the second floor and
is quite old.Built about 120 years ago,I think.Moved there five years ago and live there with my husband,John and our two sons,Jim who's three and Toby who's one-and-a-half.There's a small
back garden which is nice but which we don't often use.It's got a large kitchen but a small
bathroom and the second bedroom.In the sitting room,there's a lovely big fireplace where we relax
in the autumn and winter.the only thing we don't like about the flat is the noise from all the traffic. Speaker 2:(55-year-old man)
We live in the middle of Devon,a beautiful part of the English countryside in the South-West,in the
West Country.We live in a lovely thatched cottage....you know....with a straw roof.We moved there 16 years ago,but it was built about 350 years ago.It's got two large bedrooms and one similar
bedroom,a sitting room and a dining room next to the kitchen.And under the stairs is my favourite
room,my study.There is a front and a back garden which are both small but very beautiful with

Today,as I told you last week,we are cooking shepherd's pie in this class.Shepherd's pie is a
traditional British dish and because,as you know,we eat lots of potatoes,it's also a very popular
dish in England.OK,class,I'm going to tell you what you need.Minced beef,onion,garlic
cloves,sage,thyme,butter or vegetable oil,flour,beef
stock,salt and pepper,and of course,mashed potatoes.As and option,you may use rosemary.For the details of the recipe,a handout will be
distributed at the end of this lesson.So,please pay attention to the directions on how to prepare the dish.
Firstly,melt the butter in a large frying pan and stir in the flour.Then,cook for a few minutes
stirring until the mixture is smooth and
blended.Next,slowly stir in the beef broth and continue cooking and stirring until the gravy has
thickened,about five to eight minutes.But,if you are in a
hurry,you may use a prepared gravy.
OK,now,it's thick enough.So,add the rest of the ingredients except the mashed potatoes and mix
well.Then put mixture into a casserole dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.
OK,we're almost there.Finally,bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until
the meat is bubbling hot and the mashed potatoes are browned.

hello,and thank you for asking me to your teachers' meeting to told about the dinosaur museum and to tell you a bit about what you can do with your students on there Well let me give you some of the basic information first In regard to opening hours We are open every day of the week from 9.am to 8.pm except on mondays,when we close it at 1.30 pm And in fact the only day in the year when we are closed is on the 25th december You can book a guided tour for your school group any time that we are open if you bring a school group to the museum when you arrive we ask you to remain with your group at your car park one or more of the tour guides will welcome you there and brief you what the tour will be about we do this there because our entrance is quite small and we really haven't got much room for briefing group in the exhibition area as far as the amount of time you'll need goes if you bring a school group you should plan on allowing a minimum of 90 minutes for the visit this allow 15minutes to get on and off the coach 45 minutes for the guided tour and 30 minutes for the after tour activities if you are going to have lunch at the museum youwill,ofcourse,have to allow to have more time there are two cafes in the museum with sitting for 80 people if you want to eat there you'll need to reserve some seating as they can get quite crowded at lunch time then outside the museum at the back there are tables and students can bring their own lunch and eat there in the open air when the students coming into the museum foyer we ask them to check in the backpacks with their books lunch boxes at the cloakroom before they enter the museum proper i am afraid in the past we have had few things gone missing after the school visit so this is a strict rule also some of the exhibits are fragile and we don't want to be accentidentally knocked but we do provide school students have handouts with questions and quizzes on them there is so much that students can learn in the museum and it is fun for them to have something to do of course they'll need to bring something to write with for these we do allow students to have photographs
