Due Attention Should Be Given To Spelling

Nowadays, the number of students ignoring the spelling of words is increasing. Thus, more and more spelling mistakes cause many misunderstandings between communication. It really cannot make sense.

In my opinion, there are various reasons accounting for this phenomenon.For one thing, with the development of computer rapidly, people get accustomed to typing documents they need. As a result, students are lazy to learn these complex vocabularies by heart. For another, students look up in dictionary so frequently that they neglect the importance of spelling. In the meanwhile, it reflects that students look down upon the traditional culture of spelling and writing.

As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we should take measures to improve the present situation. Teachers are supposed to emphasize the spelling of words and students' homework should be demanded handwriting accurately.In addition, the government also need to require the media publicize the spelling culture to draw students' attention to spelling. Reading more books is also conducive to spelling and writing.
