1.Knowledge aims:
(1)Be able to listen, speak, read, and write the new words: taller, longer,older, younger, shorter.
(2)Be able to use sentence pattern“I am/ He is ... cm tall”to describe people’s height.
(3)Be able to use the sentence” You are/ I am / He is taller than ...” to compare people’s height.
2.Abilities aims:
(1)Master the use of comparative degree.

(3)Known how to use the new knowledge in a certain situation
3.Emotion aim:
Trains the observation ability the students, let them know how to love others and start from the little things in life.
III.Teaching key points and difficulties
1.Key points:Master the composition of comparative adjectives.
2.Difficulties:Master the meaning and use of “ How tall are you ?I’m 164cm.You’re shorter than me. You’re 4cm taller than me .” and the pronunciation of the length unit cm(centimeter).

VI.Teaching reflection
整个课时的引入自然、生动,能使学生快速明了本课时的主要话题。自我感觉课堂用语说的不够好,对学生的评价有时不到位不及时。没有十分放得开,课堂气氛没有达到预想的效果。有些环节有些活动还没能调动全体学生参与到课堂中。在今后的教学中,我会虚心学习,提高自己的教学水平。
