大学英语期末考核方式改革(2012.9)

大学英语课程考核方式改革方案

大学英语是高职高专的一门必修基础课,其培养目标是以素质教育为本,全面培养学生的英语综合应用能力,使学生具有较强的听、说、读、写、译能力,增强学生跨文化交际意识,帮助他们掌握基本的跨文化交际知识及技能,使其在毕业后的社会交往和工作、学习中能够用英语有效地进行口头和书面的跨文化交流。

基于高职教育要培养应用性人才的目标,为了提高学生的英语综合应用能力,更好地调动学生自主学习的积极性,全面掌握学生对该门课程的学习动态,正确评价课程教学效果,特拟定并实施如下课程考核改革方案。

一、考核方式

形成性考核与终结性考试相结合,强化形成性考核;注重考核内容的多角度(即听、说、读、写、译各个方面)和多层面(即注重对学生英语基础能力、口语交际能力、英语书面分析表述能力等层面的考核),从而全面提高学生英语综合应用能力。

二、考核细则

1. 形成性考核(50%)

形成性考核成绩占学期总成绩的50%,由两大部分组成:

(1) 平日成绩(30%),其中考勤占10%、课堂表现占10%、作业占10%。

(2) 课内技能考核(20%),可进行听力、口语、翻译、写作等方面的考核,由各任课老师随堂进行。

2. 终结性考核(50%)

鉴于学生的英语口语表达能力在英语听、说、读、写、译各种能力的培养提高中为薄弱环节,这种现状严重制约学生走向社会后利用英语进行的交际沟通。为此,大学英语终结性考核在教材内容的基础上,增加口试环节。口试可采取学生间对话和讨论、朗读短文并回答问题、命题演讲、描述图片、英文辩论赛等形式进行考核。口语考核过程中注重难度的循序渐进,注重调动学生英语学习的兴趣和自主性。口试考核安排在每学期期末考试前一周由任课教师组织进行。笔试仍采用理论闭卷形式,考查学生的英语基础能力、阅读理解能力、翻译能力和书面分析表述能力。

第一、二学期学生的终结性考核采用英语笔试与英语口试相结合的形式,其中笔试成绩占百分制的80%,口试成绩占百分制的20%;第三学期的终结性考核采用每年十二月份举行的高职高专成绩与口试成绩相结合的形式,其中高职高专考试成绩占百分制的80%,口试成绩占百分制的20%。考试不及格的学生将继续参加下一次高职高专考试作为补考。补考成绩录入时,理论成绩仍保留第三

学期口试成绩,再与本次高职高专补考成绩相加,所得总成绩录入补考理论成绩。补考后仍不及格者,需参加学院的毕业清考。

三、课程总评成绩的评定

课程总评成绩= 形成性考核成绩的50% + 终结性考核成绩的50%

大学英语期末成绩按年级具体细分为:

第一、二学期:期末成绩= 平日成绩30%(考勤10%、课堂表现10%、作业10%)+ 课内技能考核20% + 终结性考核50%(笔试成绩占百分制的80%、口试成绩占百分制的20%)

第三学期:期末成绩= 平日成绩30%(考勤10%、课堂表现10%、作业10%)+ 课内技能考核20% + 终结性考核50%(高职高专成绩占百分制的80%、口试成绩占百分制的20%)

总之,该考核方式强化形成性考核,增加口试环节,注重从听、说、读、写、译各个方面对学生的英语基础能力、口语交际能力、英语书面分析表述能力等进行多层面的考核,增大考核学生综合分析能力、应用能力的内容比重,强调基础、重在应用,一方面加强了对学生学习过程的控制,督促学生学习,提高学习效率,培养积极认真的学习态度,同时也提高学生学习英语的积极性。另一方面,该考核方式能全面、客观、公正地反映学生学习的状况,多种考核方式相结合,能全面地对学生课程学业成绩进行评定。

一、大学英语教学改革的总体目标、基本原则及实施步骤 1、贯彻教育部颁发的《大学英语教学课程要求》,坚持以培养学生英语综合运用能力、特别是听说能力为目标。在教学理念上,从以教师为中心的教学转变到以学生为中心的教学上来,从以知识传授为中心转变为以能力培养为中心。 2、坚持因材施教的原则,实施分级教学,调动教和学两个方面的积极性,鼓励学生进行主动性学习和个性化学习;注重培养他们的创新能力。 3、坚持课内与课外结合、课堂学习和课外自学并重的原则。为学生创造良好的课内外学习环境,特别要大力加强对学生课外英语学习的指导,培养其自主学习的能力。 4、继承传统课堂教学的合理成分,同时充分利用多媒体和网络等现代信息技术,实施“基于计算机和课堂的英语多媒体教学模式”,促进教学方法和教学手段的有效改革。 5、优化各种教学资源,提高大学英语教学的效益。探索这一新的教学模式下软硬件的合理配置方法、课程设置方案及其它相关问题,为进一步推广提供依据和经验。 6、遵循循序渐进的原则和语言教学规律,既要解放思想又要实事求是,既要有前瞻性又要兼顾现实。结合我校实际和兄弟院校经验,我校的大学英语教学改革拟分三个阶段进行: 第一阶段:2005年2月开始,在2004级进行小规模试点,参加学生240人,使用外教社出版的《新理念大学英语》立体化教材和网络辅助学习系统; 第二阶段: 2005年9月开始,在2005级中增加学生500人左右,扩大试点规模,使用外研社出版的《新视野大学英语》立体化教材和网络辅助学习系统; 第三阶段:综合分析前两个阶段的试点教学,形成实验报告供学校决策。若前期实施效果良好,学校条件成熟,争取在2007年9月以后全校推广。 二、大学英语教学体系的设计与分级教学的实施方案 1、我校的大学英语教学体系分为两个模块。第一模块为综合英语课程,其目的是保证所有学生打好扎实的语言能力,形成良好的学习方法。第二模块为英语应用技能课程,其目的是为了满足不同学生的发展需要,扩展他们的英语语言知识和文化素质并培养他们的语言应用能力。 2、综合英语课程分为四个级别,即综合英语(1)、综合英语(2)、综合英

Is It Better to Buy or Rent? The price of housing has kept increasing in recent years, which causes a big headache for people living in cities. A lot of people cannot afford to own a real estate property, so they choose to rent instead of buying an apartment.
