埃及介绍英文版 Egypt, officially the Arab Republic of Egypt, is a country mainly in North Africa, with the Sinai Peninsula forming a land bridge in Western Asia. Covering an area of about 1,010,000 square kilometers (390,000 sq mi), Egypt is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast, the Red Sea to the east, Sudan to the south and Libya to the west. The southern city of Luxor contains numerous ancient artifacts, such as the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings. Egypt is widely regarded as an important political and cultural nation of the Middle East. The Master of Accounting (MAc) is designed for students planning on professional careers in accounting or related financial professions. It complements the educational experience of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) accounting major by providing the additional accounting and business knowledge needed by successful accounting professionals. Students who successfully complete the MAc degree meet the educational requirements for the Uniform CPA Exam in the state of Texas. The MAc further provides a solid foundation for entry into the accounting profession by: ?Further developing students’ understanding of the global business environment and ability to apply such skills and knowledge to an accounting setting; ?Enhancing students’ ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing; ?Strengthening students’ ability to work effectively in groups; ?Furthering students’ skills in using information technology effectively and adapting to technological developments; and ?Developing students’ commitment to lifelong learn ing and continuing professional development. MAc Admissions To be considered for admissions, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. While a degree in accounting is not a prerequisite for admission, applicants generally must have completed the equivalent of 27 semester hours of accounting, including those courses (or their equivalents) required for the TCU BBA accounting degree. See the TCU Undergraduate Catalog for details. There is no single formula for admission to the MAc degree. Admission is competitive and based upon demonstrated excellence and likelihood to be successful as a graduate student and accounting professional. Ideal applicants have high academic potential and achievement, as well as strong motivation and leadership potential. We assess these qualities using the materials required in the application. Students admitted to the Neeley Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) who meet the requirements of that program will be permitted to begin graduate studies and earn a Master of Accounting automatically upon filing and approval of an Intent to Matriculate to graduate studies. Students who have not earned a BBA in the Neeley School must provide evidence that they have completed a comparable program at an accredited university. Students with deficiencies in their educational backgrounds may be admitted, but will be required to remedy these deficiencies and complete all requirements for the MAc before the degree will be awarded. Students may begin the degree in either the fall or spring semester. Admissions decisions are made on a "rolling" basis, whereby an application is generally reviewed within six weeks of receiving all required admissions materials. Applications for students not having earned a BBA in the Neeley School will not be considered earlier than the semester prior to the desired semester of enrollment.
