Section C Hobbies

音乐, 往往涉及到一些与音乐相关却有比较抽象的问题,难度较大. 例如:

1) How do you understand music?

2) What impact does music have on your personality?

参考回答

1) Well, I think music is the art of organizing sounds. Music is something mysterious and beautiful, which can enrich our imagination and trigger our inspiration. We have different ideas of what beauty is, therefore, we will have different tastes for music. Even with the same piece of music, different people will have different understanding.

2) Generally speaking, music does have a great impact on a person’s personality, to some extent. Personally I think that music may cultivate a person’s mind as well as taste. And music can make you happy when you feel lonely, and cheer you up when you are sad. In this way, music makes a person optimistic during his or her life. Soft and sweet music soothes(安慰、安抚)the wearied, the sad, the restless. Grand music will fill strong men with great ambitions. Only when you are really listening to music can you feel what music is and how irresistible the artistic charm is. Section C Environmental Problems and City Planning
