Good morning,Ladies and Gentlemen!.I am the No.2candidate interviewed for primary school teacher.Now I will say something about my lesson.

1.Analysis of teaching material

Today I’m going to talk about Unit3Make a plan,Book3.This lesson includes two parts:Let’s talk and let’s practice.In section1,it mainly deals with the dialogue about“What’s in the schoolbag?”and the answers.And in section2,it provides a real situation for the Ss to practice the pattern:How many+n.(pl.)+do you have?And the answer:I have2，3+n.(pl.)

The teaching aims are:

Aims on the knowledge:

To enable the students to grasp the words,that is to say can listen,say,read,and use them freely:village,list,celebrate,decorate,need,paper,under,believe,useful,envy, never,finish,work,cartoon,sticker,trouble,law,station and phrases:sports things, have a rest,notice board.

To enable the Ss to read,say and write the sentences:What shall we do for them?I think we can buy something for study.Christmas is coming.How are we going to celebrate it?What’s your plan for…?First,…Second,…Third,…Finally,…Do you have any ideas to stop it?And can use them to talk.

Understand the short dialogue in Read and think,can retell it,grasp the song or chant.

Aims on the abilities:

Can use the‘four skill’sentences to express one’s own plan.

Can reuse the dialogue to express plan and discuss it.

Can use the knowledge to do survey and interviews.

Learn to sing the song Christmas Is Coming and Fish Song,say the chant and tell some stories about Christmas.

Aims on the emotion:

To foster the Ss to take care of others and help others.

Have acquaintance with the difference between Christmas and the Spring Festival.

Key-points of this lesson are:

(1)To help Ss ask and answer the question:What’s in it?

(2)To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.

(3)To develop Ss’interest in English.

Difficult points in this lesson are:

1.The key points is the dialogue of Learn to say,the words and drills of Try to use

2.Can understand the story of Read and think,do the task Think and write with the help of teacher

2.Analysis of students

Our boys and girls are exposed to English for the first time,so it is very important to develop their keen interest in English.It is not a long history that English is as a subject in primary school in our country and the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’basic abilities of their listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language.For the students who get to know and learn English for such a short time,they are shy to show and eager to learn. So we need know them quiet well to operate the appropriate teaching methods and learning methods.

3.Teaching methods

As we all know:the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language.So in this lesson I’ll mainly use“Task-based”teaching method. That is to say,I will let the Ss learn in real situations,finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue.I will arrange four kinds of activities:singing,guessing game,finishing a survey and having a competition.And in this lesson a recorder,CAI,school things and a printed form will be needed.Students should prepare some school things.

4.Learning methods

I mainly use researching learning method together with cooperative learning

method in this lesson.

5.Teaching procedures

I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.

Step1.Warm-up and preview

(1)Free talk between T and Ss about things in the classroom.

(2)Sing the song together:Row your boat.

(3)Show the pictures of needy schools and students.Look at the pictures,they are…

Purpose:The pictures will make the Ss have the same feelings as those Ss,so they can understand them better and determine to help them.They will do it from their own heart.

Step2.Presentation

Now I’ll mainly talk about this step.

Introduce the new words and drills.

Words:When we look at the pictures we’ll talk about the new words and at the same time learn the words.(village,sports thing,list)Pay attention to the pronunciation of letter a.Enlarge vocabulary,shopping list and name list.

The drills:What shall we do for them?I think we can buy something for study.

Purpose:Learn the drill from the knowledge we’ve learned.It will help them to form the knowledge system and better to remember.

Purpose:In order to enlarge their knowledge,I design a survey.Ask the students to the survey.They might have some difficulties,I’ll help them.

Present the text.Liu Gang,Billy,Linda and Bob,they are talking about the same questions as us.Let’s see what are they saying.

(The students look at the books,listen to the text and think about the questions.)

Questions:

a.What are they going to do this weekend?

b.What’s their plan?

Purpose:The questions will arouse their interests in reading the text and also help them to understand the text.

Train to read and read in roles.Listen to the tape and read after it.

Step4.Summary and homework

Sum up what we have learned.

Homework:If you have50Yuan,what are you going to buy for the needy Ss? Please make a list.
