Abstract
The transformer substation is a place in which electrical energy sends to and is distributed or transformed
into other voltage in a electrical system. 500kv substation hub is mainly discussed in the paper, and it can
transform 500kv into 110kv and sends power to users. This article aims at the preliminary design of 500kv side
of the substation, and completes the design of main wiring. In the thesis

breaker mode of connection is
introduced into 500kv side and the double-busbar into 110kv side; after that necessary short circuit computation,
to which the main electrical device is chosen and checked according, is done; at last the monitoring system
design is completed to realize start or stop control of all device in the substation, and real-time
human-computer interface display of some substation’s parameter.
