Bottom insulators 9 Mimic diagram GSec is a three-position SF6 gas-insulated switch-disconnector designed for use in medium voltage switchgear for secondary distribution. GSec is used in line ingoing/outgoing panels, in those with circuit-breakers or in a combination with fuses. Typical applications are supplying lines, protecting transformers and use in ring networks. Thanks to its size, GSec can be installed in panels 375 mm in width or wider. The contacts of the three phases can be set to the following positions: LINE – OPEN – EARTH. The enclosure of the GSec switch-disconnector consists of two half-shells, the top part being made of resin and the bottom part in stainless steel. GSec apparatus is “sealed for life” in accordance with standard IEC 60694, wich means that the gas tightness is guaranteed for more than 30 years. GSec has a wide range of “plug&play” accessories that can be easily installed and replaced from the front part of the apparatus.
