英语写作基础课程教学大纲

一、教学对象

本课程的教学对象是高等专科英语专业的学生或具有同等水平的自学者。

二、教学目的与要求

通过本课程的教学,使学生初步掌握英语写作技能,学会用英文写叙述、说明性的短文和一般性应用文。

(1)用英文写叙述、说明性的短文: 要求学生能根据命题列出作文提纲,在1小时内写出不少于200词的短文,内容切题、完整,条理清楚,语句连贯通顺,语法基本正确。

(2)用英文写一般性的应用文: 要求学生能根据提示写出通知、贺卡、便条、申请书、邀请函、简历,格式正确,语言得体。

三、教学安排

本课程3个学分,在一个学期内开设,每周3学时,共计54学时。

四、教学内容

本课程主要教学内容如下:

(1)文稿格式;

(2)句子结构;

(3)构段方式;

(4)谋篇布局;

(5)摘要;

(6)应用文。

五、教学原则

(1)在教学过程中,要充分考虑成人学习的特点和本课程的特点,注重对学生遣词造句这两种能力的培养;

(2)在教学过程中,教师应以指导学生自学为主,以电视教学和课堂教学为辅,采用多种教学手段对学生进行写作训练。

六、测试

实行全国统一的闭卷考试。考试采用百分制,60分及格。

英语写作基础课程考核说明

“英语写作基础”是国家开放大学(中央广播电视大学)英语专业专科的必修课程。

通过本课程的学习,学生应初步掌握英语写作技能,学会用英语写叙述、说明性的短文和一般性应用文。学习结束后,要求学生能根据命题列出作文提纲,在1小时内写出不少于200词的短文,并能根据提示写出通知、贺卡、便条、申请书、邀请函、简历等应用文。

为指导全国广播电视大学“英语写作基础”课程的考试命题和组织工作,帮助学生复习本课程,并为检查教学质量提供依据,特制订本考核说明。

一、考核对象

国家开放大学(中央广播电视大学)英语专业专科学生。

二、考核方式

本课程的考核采取两种形式:形成性考核和课程终结考试。课程总成绩以百分制计。形成性考核占30%,课程终结考试占70%。

1. 形成性考核:满分100分,占课程总成绩的30%。形成性考核是对学生学习过程和阶段性学习效果的综合评价,包括学生参与各项教学活动和自主学习活动的情况以及阶段性的学习进展情况。本课程的形成性考核内容和方式严格按照“形成性考核册及学习档案”的具体要求执行。

2. 课程终结考试形式为笔试,闭卷。由中央电大统一命题,在同一时间全国统一考试,考试时间为90分钟。试卷分为三部分,卷面分值为100分:第一、二部分为应用文写作,占30分,主要考查学生用英语写“应用文”的能力;第三部分为短文写作,占70分,主要考查学生用英语写作叙述、说明性的短文的能力。

三、命题依据

本课程终结考试的命题依据为国家开放大学(中央广播电视大学)开放教育英语专业专科的教学计划、课程大纲和课程教材——《英语写作基础》。

四、评价目标

本课程考试重点测试学生用英语写作短文和一般性英语应用文的基本能力。要求学生完成本课程的学习后,能用英语写出语句连贯,条理清楚,语法基本正确,语言通顺恰当的短文;能掌握一般性应用文的格式,写出格式正确,语言

得体的一般性应用文。

五、命题原则

根据教材所涵盖的有关内容,写作基础知识以及与教材难度相当的语言材料命题,涉及教材的内容不少于60%。
