To be a Good Teacher

PengZhumin(No.6 high school of Luxian) Ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning, my name is Peng Zhumin, from No.6 High School of Luxian. It’s my great honor to stand here to give my speech. My topic is “To be a Good Teacher”. Before delivering my speech, I’d like to ask you a question: “being a teacher, do you feel happy?”yes, I feel extremely happy and even I feel proud of being a teacher, especially a teacher of my school. Because, in my school, I have learnt how to be a good teacher.To be a good teacher is easy but to be a good teacher is difficult. So, today, I want to share my ideas with you!

In the first place, I think, the fundamental quality a good teacher must have is responsibility. But, what is responsibility? Responsibility is not complaining about your students’ poor behaviors but accepting what you are facing. That is you are an ordinary teacher bearing a lot of burdens: imparting the students knowledge, inspiring the students to work hard and encouraging them to have confidence. When your students cross the road, responsibility is holding their hands and reminding them to be careful. When your students face the problems, responsibility is helping to find solutions. When your students feel frustrated, responsibility is being on their side to give them courage.

Meanwhile, another basic morality a good teacher should acquire is patience. When your students make mistakes in learning, you must be patient enough to guide them to correct. When your students break the school regulations, you must be tolerant enough to assist them to get out of their bad behaviors. When your students can’t get on with their parents, you must be understanding enough to communicate with them.

Most importantly, a good teacher must love your teaching, love your students and love your school. In other words, a good teacher must love everything that happens to you! Only you are passionate for your teaching, can you commit yourself to your work. Only you are the foster parents of your students, can you truly care about your students. Only you are in love with your school, can you make contributions to your school. We can see that love, in some ways, means everything to a good teacher!

I can see these qualities from the teachers in my school. One afternoon, I saw Mrs. Chen talk with one of her students for almost one hour just in the hope of the student never smoking; another evening, I saw Mr Xu help three students solve math problems for almost two hours. Maybe about 11 o’clock on a sunday, I heard Mrs Wu talk with the students’ parents on the phone for dealing the students’ bad behaviors in school. They are all good teachers, besides them, of course, there are also many more good teachers in our school. I feel really proud of them! Although I am not excellent enough to be a good teacher, I can try my best to learn to be! Ladies and gentlemen, I know, most of you are teachers, I hope all of us will be good teachers of Luxian and contribute to the education of Luxian! That’s all my speech! 早上好,我的名字是PengZhumin ,来自泸县第六中学。这是我莫大的荣幸能站在这里给大家做演讲。我演讲的题目是“成为一个好老师” 。在我演讲之前,我想请教大家一个问题:“作为一名教师,你觉得幸福吗?”是的,我感到非常幸福,甚至我感到自豪,作为一名教师,尤其是作为我们学校的老师。因为,在我的学校里,我学会了如何做一个好老师。要当一名老师是很容易的,但是,做一个好的老师却是很难的。因此,今天,我想与你分享我的想法!

我认为摆在首位的是,一个好老师最基本的品质是要有责任心。但是,什么是责任呢?责任不是抱怨学生的不良行为,而是接受你所面对一切。那就是说,,你是一个这是承载了很多责任的普通教师如:传授学生知识,激励学生努力,并鼓励他们要有信心。当你的学生过马路时,责任就是你要抓住他们的手,提醒他们要小心。当你的学生面临问题时,责任就是你帮助他们找到解决办法。当您的学生感到沮丧时,责任就是你在他们身边给他们勇气。

与此同时,另外一个好老师应该有的基本品质是耐心。当你的学生在学习中犯错误时,你必须有足够的耐心引导他们改正。当您的学生违反学校的规章制度时,你必须足够的宽容去协助他们摆脱他们的不良行为。当你的学生不能与他们的父母好好相处时,你必须理解他们并且与他们沟通。

最重要的是,一个好老师必须爱你的教学,爱你的学生,爱你的学校。换句话说,一个好老师必须爱发生在你身边的一切!只有你对教学充满热情,你才可以全身心投入工作。只有你把自己当作是学生的父母,你才能真正地关心你的学生。你只有爱你的学校,你才能无私的奉献。我们可以看到,爱,在某些方面,对一个好老师来说,意味着一切。

我可以从我们学校的老师身上看到这些品质!一天下午,我看到陈老师在和她的一个学生交谈了几乎一小时,仅仅就希望她的学生以后不再吸烟;在一个晚上,我看到徐老师帮助三名学生解决近两个小时的数学问题。又是一次,大约在一个星期天的晚上11点左右,我听到吴老师在电话上和学生家长交谈关于学生在学校的不良行为,这些都是我们好的老师,除了他们,当然,在我们学校,还有很多像他们一样的优秀老师。我真的为他们感到骄傲!虽然,我还不够优秀成为一名好老师,但是,我会努力成为一名好老师!女士们,先生们,我知道,你们中的大多数都是老师,我希望我们所有的人都会成为泸县的优秀老师,为泸县的教育奉献自己的一份力量!我的演讲完毕,感谢大家的聆听!

S p e e c h 1 Good morning, everyone! This week, we are going to learn a new topic——the Aims of Education. Differ from W hitehea d’s idea; I think the aim of education is to help people form a lifelong learning consciousness. In my eyes, education is not an end, but a means to an end. In other words, we do not educate children only for teaching them knowledge but to help them form a lifelong learning consciousness. 2 We can see that, as education appeared, the aim of it has always been a hot topic to human beings, especially the great thinkers. Their ideas towards the aim of education reflect the educational changes in human society. That is to say the aim of education is not static. In ancient Greek, Aristotle thought that “Education must aim at the development of the full potentialities of each man”. Later, it developed into the idea of training young people to be well-educated gentlemen or citizens in Henry Newman’s workThe Idea of a University. 3 As the society develops, the aim of education has taken in new meanings and implications-----to educate and train people to be all-roundly cultivated persons. To achieve this goal, one has to spend his whole life to learn. However, in the usual case people just spend some years on study in schools or universities. After they leave school, they seldom pick up books. Now the government is advocating building a “learning society”. It provides people chances to do some continuous learning in other schools besides the formal ones, like night schools. 4 In fact, t he idea that education should be throughout a person’s life has been existing for a long time. In China, it can be traced further back to “the Analects of Confucius”. Confucius said, “If some years were a dded to my life, I would give fifty to the study of the Yi, and then I might come be without great faults”. This indicates his idea of lifelong learning. Besides, some famous western philosophers also held the idea that individual education should be a continuous process. For example, the great thinker Aristotle claimed that “Education is the best provision for the journey to old age”. These claims above show that those great educators take education as a long term task. 5 Unfortunately, the time that people spend in schools or universities is limited, so is the knowledge they can learn in the formal schooling. As a result, it is significant for teacher to promote learner a utonomy and guide students to form a lifelong learning consciousness in school. But usually people do not take it serious until they leave school. I would like to take my elder cousin as an example. 6 My elder cousin went to a professional school after he graduated from high school. One year later, he became a workman in a factory. He was satisfied with the job and stopped learning. Yet as time goes by, now he feels that the task is beginning to exceed his ability. This is not a single case happen to those “graduates”. 7 Nowadays, more and more people realize this problem and start to take some measures to solve it. In order to get a higher degree, people take some courses on the Internet or go to night schools to do their further study. Such being the case, why not help people build up their consciousness of lifelong learning when they are still in school Thus they can do some preparation and try their best to create opportunities for further study even after they leave school. 8 To conclude, the aim of education ought to educate people to consider education as a continuous process and form this consciousness in school so that people can receive any kind of education in any time or anywhere to adapt to the development of society.

龙源期刊网 https://www.wendangku.net/doc/f2854617.html, 混合式教学模式在中学英语课堂中的应用 作者:张继玲 来源:《新教育时代·教师版》2017年第44期 摘要:传统的面对面教学模式难以满足每个学生的学习需求,所以在当今科学技术快速 发展的条件下,混合式教学模式已被中学英语教师重视和应用。所谓混合,实践上归于结合式学习,也就是完成多种学习方法的有效结合,即完成多媒体教育与传统教育的有效结合,辅佐性教育与单一性教育相结合,协助学习以及自主学习相结合。信息化教育的日渐开展,使得信息技术开展速度不断加速,对学生学习以及生活具有十分重要的意义。人们理性化日渐开展,使得在线学习资源日渐丰厚,有利于提高多媒体教育资源的快捷性,提高交流以及互动的实用性,可是多媒体教育方法却无法取代传统课堂教育,如果没有教师的引导,实际的教育效果并不是十分理想的。互联网信息技术以及在线学习日渐开展,使得混合式学习教育呈现出巨大优势,多媒体教育方法可以很好的弥补传统教育存在的问题,经过现代化教育方法与传统教育方法有效结合,构建混合式教育方法,能有效提高教育的质量。 关键词:混合式教学模式中学英语课堂应用 一、混合式教学的优势 1.教师主导,关注个性 由于初中生自学能力较差,这种缺乏监督的讨论学习,往往会使学生偏离了学习目标,讨论也无法深入,学生的思维无法得到锻炼。学生学习能力的提高离不开教师的指导,混合式教学模式,既保证了学生充分地自主学习,又确保教师作为课堂的主导者,更好地引导课堂的“主体”——学生。在这样的教学过程中,教师成为课堂活动的组织者,学生学习手段的提供者,学生出现问题时的启发者,学生活动出现目标偏差时的指路者,学生进行深入学习的帮助者。[1] 2.小组合作,发展个性 混合式教学模式下的课堂,学生的学习模式发生了转变,不用再整齐划一地跟着老师学习探究,而是可以选择多种方式进行自学或者分组合作进行探究讨论,真正地把课堂从老师的“教”变成了每个学生参与的“学”。该理论强调以学生为中心,注重学生发展的个性化差异,因为学生个人的接受程度是不同的,同比学习速度和理解能力也是不尽相同的,传统的教学无法做到因材施教,无法保证每个学生获得最大程度的发展。在教师讲解的基础上,展开多种渠道,多种形式的师生、生生、组内、组间的互动,可以最大限度地满足各层次学生的学习需求。[2] 3.多种评价,反馈及时

高等学校混合式英语教学方式探析 论文关键词:大学英语教学;教育技术;电子化学习;混合式学习论文摘要:本文为了解决我国在英语教学中所采用方法比较落后的问题,通过对教育技术学发展的追溯和研究,提出了利用混合式教学方式来促进学生学习英语的教学模式。 1大学混合式英语教学的实施 混合式教学虽然是一种较新的教学方式,但是它在课堂教学实践中的表现形式与传统教学模式也有类似之处。所以,笔者也遵循备课、教学实施和课后辅导的顺序来进行阐述。 1 .1备课 我们在应用混合式教学模式过程中,除了要吸收传统模式的经验外,还要注意: (1)广泛收集资料。除了课本内容外,教师还通过给学生预设一些任务引导学生自主寻找和课文内容相关的资料,并且引导学生从自己收集的资料中提取有价值的信息。 (2)教师要为学生选择适合的资源供其在课后进行自主学习,并配合适当的任务型作业让学生来强化知识。 (3)强调教师协作备课。在混合式教学模式下,教师能够利用网络平台的优势将收集的各种教学资源进行分类储存,并通过网络平台强大的信息处理功能对所获资源进行交换。 在完成了资料准备和课程设计后,我们就可以进入课堂教学阶段了。

在这个部分,笔者以所在的大连东软信息技术学院为例来说明。 (1)课堂上教师通过一套多媒体平台软件对学生的电脑进行广播教学,这既能够保证学生在自己笔记本电脑上接收到和教师同步的电子课件,并且这种同步是全媒体的内容呈现,也就是说教师不仅可以展示PPT形式的电子教案,也能根据需要资料库中的播放音频或视频文件。 (2)为了达到建构主义教学理论强调的学习者在实践过程中认知的理论,我们通过技术方法实现了同一课堂中非同步学习小组的教学模式,并且教师会鼓励学习者利用网络资源进行合作学习。在整个学习过程中,教师仅作为教学任务的组织者和指导者,而不仅仅充当知识的直接传授者。 (3)在这样的课堂中,教师可以随时通过网络参与到小组讨论。由于网络中数据的交流既可以实现点对点也可以实现点对面,教师便能自由切换于不同学习者或学习小组之间,给教学活动带来了更大的空间。 1 .3课后辅导 在混合式教学模式下课堂可以被任意延伸到任意时间和空间中。通过网络,教师和学生之间会保持着顺畅的信息交流。同时为了能让学生们的语言学习更加贴近自然习得,教师为学生们设计了各种任务,并且鼓励和指导他们利用信息技术进行语言学习。" (1)教师可以给学生留听力作业和语音作业。这里的听力形式不仅是音频的,也可以是视频的,甚至是网络上的某个媒体文件。除此之外,还要强调对语言输出技能的训练。教师让学生将自己的朗读、同伴之
