As for me, it is no doubt that the best gift I’ve received is just a book named “ No Excuse”. It really makes a difference to me.
Last month, because of the heavy burden of study, I felt stressed , tired and even lost the confidence in study.My father sent me this book as a gift after he noticed my change. It was a book with a fantastic sunrise on its cover. On the first page are several lines of my father’s words“Dear son, never lost heart and believe in yourself. I am proud of you.” He asked me to read it and I did it. Gradually , I realize that as a Grade Nine student, I should try my best to realize my ambition. There was no excuse for giving up. i have no choice but to try it again and again if I fail.
It is so special becuase the book is not only a gift but also my fathers’love for me.

On my thirteenth birthday, I received a book as a gift from my mum. It is a book named “ the secrets of success”
it was a book with several famous people on its cover. They wear confident smiles with books on their hands. It mainly talks about why some people are successful, but others not. After reading it,I find that those successful people have the same characters(特征)。Firstly, they have definite goals or ambitions . In addition, they have a stronger will than others and never give up . Thirdly, they are more hard-working than common people.
The book is so special because the book gives me much courage and makes a difference to me. Since then, I have decided to change myself. I am thankful to my mother because she sent me the best gift.
The best gift I have received
On my fourteenth birthday, my father sent me a bike as my birthday gift. It looks cool because of its blue wheels. That day, my father began to teach me how to ride it. At first, It was hard for me to controlled the bike. I fell down to the ground heavily and hurt myself. But my father encouraged me not to give up. I succeeded after trying it again and again. From then on, I ride my bike to school instead of taking a taxi. It helps build up my body.
The gift is special and the best one I have received because it is not only a common gift but also my father’s love for me. And from learning how to ride it, I learn that I shouuld never give up when I meet difficulties. What’s more , I become stronger and stronger by riding my bike to school.
The best gift I have received
On my fourteenth birthday, I received a fine alarm clock from my mum. At first I wondered why mum gave me such a kind of gift instead of a beautiful doll. Gradually I understood it. Now I come to realize it is the best gift that I’ve ever received. Every morning, the clock wakes me up at the time I set for on the night before. Then I begin another pleasant new day with the English reading and morning exercise. I have had this faithful friend for three years so far. Every day the clock reminds me that I should always keep the time in order to be a responsible person. Besides, it never stops working and also teaches me that I should never waste time. Time is precious and just as the saying goes, ”Time never returns when it is lost”. I should save time right now to do something meaningful. Thus as mentioned above/ For these reasons, I will cherish the best gift in the future.
