今天我演讲的是是一位美国的科学家，被人们称为“发明大王”，你们知

道他是谁吗?对，他就是我们都很熟悉的爱迪生。

爱迪生出生在美国，在他刚上小学的时候，一天，他的妈妈突然接到一个

电话，是他的小学教师打来的。

教师说：“你好!我是爱迪生的老师。请问你是爱迪生的妈妈吧?”

爱迪生妈妈说：“老师，您好!我是爱迪生的妈妈。怎么啦，我儿子在学校闯祸了?”

老师说：“你的儿子整天在校就知道调皮捣蛋，很多想法也稀奇古怪。这

样的低能儿你也送到学校来?你还是赶快把他领回家去吧… …”老师很生气地

说完就挂了电话。不得已，妈妈只好把爱迪生领回了家，此时，小爱迪生仅仅

上了三个月的小学。

回到家，当过教师的妈妈对爱迪生说：“儿子，你是最棒的!要相信自己!”

从此，爱迪生就在妈妈的谅解和耐心的教导下开始了自学，并且还一边学习一边工作。

爱迪生从小就对很多事物感到很好奇，而且喜欢亲自去试验一下，直到明

白了其中的道理为止。他很勤奋，很自信，很坚强，长大后终于成为举世闻名

的“发明大王”。

爱迪生建立了一个实验室，一生共发明了电灯、电报机、留声机、电影机、磁力析矿机、压碎机等等总计两千多种东西。对改进人类的生活方式，作出了
