哈利波特1魔法石（欢迎来到魔法世界）
在伏地魔与哈利的父母的大战之中，哈利在母爱的庇护下大难不死，伏地魔却元气大伤。经过邓布利多和麦格教授的商议，为了避免名人效应，而决定让襁褓中这个婴儿在麻瓜的世界中成长，当哈利成长到一定年龄，霍格沃兹学校正式录取哈利。
海格带着哈利去对角巷买学习用具，哈利买了与伏地魔相似的魔杖。
哈利去9又3/4站台，坐上了开往学校的车，车上遇见好友罗恩与赫敏。
开学典礼上，哈利三人被分到了葛莱芬多（Gryffindor）。罗恩有一个幸福和谐的大家庭，但是经济状况并不是很富裕。赫敏来自纯麻瓜世界，血统最差。但是特别勤奋，加上天资聪慧，成绩远超出巫师家庭出身的孩子们。三个人建立友谊的事件是一起同山怪打斗。哈利表现出自己的勇敢，赫敏表现出自己的聪明，罗恩则不掉链子地打助攻。成功打败山怪之后，三人的友谊建立起来。
哈利从父母那得到的最宝贵的就是他的正义之心。再加上自己的勇敢，很容易与周围的人建立起深厚的友谊。飞行课上，纳威摔伤后，马尔福抢了他的记忆球，哈利则不怕违反校规而去为纳威争夺回来。也因此，而被麦格教授赏识而选哈利做了魁地奇的seeker。
友情之外，还有亲情。海格对哈利照顾和爱护有加，表现的最明显。校长则春风化雨一般在默默地关注和帮助哈利。并悄悄地把隐形斗篷给了哈利，以便哈利去探索更大的未知的世界。斯内普教授则像严厉的父亲，对哈利从不表现亲和的态度。开学第一课就给哈利上了一课，告诫他，尽管他的名气很大，但是光有天赋而没有后天的勤奋是不行的。麦格教授像母亲一样关怀哈利，直接送了哈利一把当时流行的最快扫把“光轮2000”，使得哈利在第一次魁地奇的比赛中抓住了snitch并赢了比赛。
哈利第一次与伏地魔对战，在闯关过程中，赫敏运用自己的聪明和知识排除路上的障碍，哈利运用自己找球手（seeker）的身份抓到了过关的钥匙，罗恩展示了自己优异的象棋技能并自我牺牲把哈利送到了最后的BOSS那。哈利通过魔镜的功能而得到了邓布利多事先放在魔镜里的魔法石，运用魔法石打败了本就虚弱的伏地魔。通过这次，三人之间的友谊更加深厚了。
哈利波特2密室（有关伏地魔）
哈利在麻瓜家庭度过一个无聊的假期，而且被麻瓜关了起来。罗恩开着自家的飞车去把哈利营救了出来。并邀请哈利去罗恩家，罗恩家虽然不富裕，但是满满的全是亲情的欢乐与浓浓的爱，这让哈利感到万分的温暖。
哈利跟着罗恩一家人去买开学用具，遇到了废柴老师。
人来人往之中，老马尔福趁机把伏地魔的日记本放在了金妮的书包里。
受了诱惑金妮替伏地魔做了很多坏事。
随着事情的进展，哈利三人也在努力探索，终于发现了密室的秘密。
海格的蜘蛛并不是传说中密室里的怪物，海格只是被伏地魔陷害而已。而密室中真正的怪物是伏地魔养的一条大蛇。
面对凶猛的蛇怪，哈利勇敢地与之战斗。并且凭着自己的正义之心，召唤出葛莱芬多之剑（the sword of Gryffindor）；还有对校长邓布利多的忠诚、爱戴以及信任，赢得了凤凰的帮助（Phoenix tears疗伤）。最终打败蛇怪，毁坏了日记本（魂器）。
正义之心决定了哈利的选择，凭借哈利优秀的品质，完全可以在史莱特林干出一番事业。但是哈利选择了正义之路。
校长教导哈利道：It’s not our abilities that show what we truly are. It is our choices.
哈利波特3囚徒（哈利父母的死因）
第三部出现了两个宝贝，分别是“活地图”和“时光倒流项链”（Time-turner）。而且Time-turner 这个宝贝似乎在最后的巫师大战中没有被用上。
第三部的主要内容其实很简单，由小天狼星的越狱引出摄魂怪，然后由摄魂怪来考验哈利在成长过程中到底是否是缺爱儿童。验证结果哈利不是。
最后小天狼星抓到小矮星彼得并交代哈利父母与伏地魔之间的公案。
哈利利用“时光倒流项链”拯救了小天狼星，并有了godfather。
由于Time-Turner, 电影效果还有故事情节都变得非常有趣，而且其中逻辑并没有太大的缺陷，反而令人喜欢。
从第一部的魔法石到第二部的密室，再到第三部的时光倒流，可见J.K所花在逻辑上的心思，值得赞赏。
另外，卢平教了哈利守护神咒，小天狼星送了哈利一把最好的飞天扫把Firebolt。
哈利波特4火焰杯（黑魔王的复活）
哈利和罗恩一家人一起去看魁地奇世界杯。
在世界杯之中出现了食死徒（Death eater）。
巫师争霸赛（The Triwizard Tournament），一共有三关，第一关是从凶恶的龙那里抢来金蛋，下一关的线索就放在金蛋里。
第二关，到水下营救自己的好友。哈利得到纳威的帮助，能够在水下待一个小时，哈利成功救了罗恩并且还救了另一个人。
第三关，争夺奖杯。
然而整个活动是被伏地魔手下的人操纵了的。小克劳奇变成疯眼穆迪（Mad-eye）一步一步把哈利推向了伏地魔，从一开始替哈利报名，到每一次大赛中暗中提供帮助，到最后在奖杯上施了魔法，把哈利直接送到了伏地魔那里。这个过程中出现计划之外的情况是Cedric也跟着哈利去了伏地魔那里，然后被杀。本来伏地魔要直接杀掉哈利，但是由于二人的魔杖同芯，而不能下杀手，所以，哈利趁机逃走。
第四部的剧情，很简单，就是伏地魔的复活。但是J.K的聪明处在于把这么一个简单的剧情放在了一场学校之间的联合巫师争霸赛上，在一步一步的精彩的剧情前进之中，不忘把紧要剧情表出，果然是匠心独运。
哈利波特5凤凰社（对抗黑魔王与接受恐惧）
第五部，交代的事情多一些，会显得有点乱，毕竟是大战前夕，所有事情都堆积到一块，在所难免。
首先是魔法部不承认伏地魔复活这一件事。所以部长为了压住风声首先拿名气最大的校长邓布利多开涮。所以学校里上演了一出学生与魔法部对着干一事。此事在最后的期末考试中爆发，被韦斯利双胞胎兄弟玩了一场闹剧，大家额手相庆，大快人心。
其次，是哈利开始组建凤凰社的学生成员，称为Dumbledore’s Army. 为今后加入凤凰社做准备，并且练习实战技能。
最后，地点选在魔法部，凤凰社与食死徒之间展开一次正面交锋。在这次交战中，小天狼星被Bellatrix杀死。魔法部的人不得不承认伏地魔确实复活了。
另外就是哈利的初恋，选择了秋张，不过很快就被剧情的迅速发展而抛弃了。因为哈利和秋张并不合适。
小天狼星也告诫了哈利：The world isn’t split into good people and death eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.
哈利波特6混血王子（何为魂器）
马上就要大战了，所以第六部要铺垫还是很多的，主要的剧情线索是魂器（Horcrux）。
关于魂器，只有伏地魔当年学生时代的时候一名老师知道，邓布利多邀请那名老师来到了霍格沃兹，并且让哈利跟着他学习。
学习过程中，哈利幸运地得到了混血王子的一本书，里面全是干货，哈利因为那本书得到了幸运水的奖励，从此如饥似渴地手不释卷，并且学会了混血王子的拿手绝招——神锋无影。在哈利他们忙着谈恋爱的时候，小马尔福（Draco）以为自己是被伏地魔选中的人，努力为他干活。
在第六部中，哈利他们三人的恋爱关系确定了下来。
最后哈利利用自己开学时得到的幸运水，成功地从老师那里得到了魂器的信息。伏地魔有7个魂器来保存自己的生命。其中出现在第二部里的笔记本就是一个，不过已经被毁了。还有一个戒指，被邓布利多用葛莱芬多之剑毁掉了。剩下5个。所以邓布利多带着哈利出去寻找。非常艰难地找回一个来，但是假的。
小马尔福成功地把Death Eater引入学校，并且围攻邓布利多，斯内普及时出现，并且按照计划杀死了邓布利多。使得伏地魔和哈利波特双方的力量严重不均衡，哈利面临困难重重。不过邓布利多给哈利却留下了十分宝贵的并且能够战胜伏地魔的财富，那就是爱和友谊。
哈利波特7死亡圣器（大战）
知道了魂器之后，哈利的目标就很明确了，就是寻找魂器。
哈利他们三人踏上寻找魂器之路的同时，伏地魔也在拼命寻找老魔杖并且在邓布利多的墓里找到了。
首先寻找真的魂器挂坠盒（locket），三人勇闯魔法部，抢走locket然后开始继续寻找其他魂器。期间三人受到魂器的搅扰，罗恩出走。
斯内普暗中找把剑给哈利送去，此时罗恩回来，用剑击毁了魂器locket。
接着三人去了卢娜父亲的家，得知了死亡圣器的事，三圣器分别是战无不胜的老魔杖、复活石和隐形斗篷。结果他们三人被出卖，被食死徒抓回马尔福庄园。在庄园的战斗中，哈利缴了小马尔福的武器，之前小马尔福曾缴了邓布利多的老魔杖，所以老魔杖的主人成为了哈利。拥有三圣器的人，能做死神的主人，即哈利拥有三件死亡圣器，在与伏地魔对抗中稍稍占了一些优势。The Elder Wand, The Resurrection Stone and The Cloak of Invisibility. Together they make the Deathly Hallows. Together they make one master of death.
小精灵多比把他们从马尔福庄园救了出来，但是付出了自己的生命。多比死的时候说：Such a beautiful place to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend Harry Potter.
逃出之后，利用Bellatrix的头发混进古灵阁她的仓库，又找到一个魂器cup。
接着通过邓布利多的弟弟帮助，哈利回到学校。继续寻找魂器。并找到金冕（diadem）。
罗恩和赫敏用蛇牙毁掉cup，然后三人又毁掉diadem.
接着交代斯内普一案。哈利得知自己是第七个魂器。主动去找伏地魔，伏地魔怒下杀手，亲手杀死了哈利体内的自己灵魂的一部分。（我觉得哈利没有被杀死，是因为哈利成长过程中得到的爱和友谊使他的灵魂强大到足以抵抗伏地魔的灵魂，而伏地魔所杀死的不过是哈利体
内那个已经弱小不堪一击的伏地魔的灵魂，而哈利却没有死。）
以为得胜的伏地魔带着部队回到残破的学校叫嚣，没想到哈利有一帮至死不渝的朋友从未放弃和妥协过，要战斗到底。看到希望的哈利则带着他们继续与伏地魔战斗。
只剩下最后一个魂器是伏地魔的蛇。
在哈利与伏地魔单挑的时候，蛇被纳威用葛莱芬多之剑斩了。虚弱不堪的伏地魔便灰飞烟灭了。
当然也可以这么说，就是所有的优势都集中在哈利身上，哈利拥有三件死亡圣器，所以他可以轻松打败伏地魔。不过这个不能算作是哈利胜利的主要因素。哈利主要的武器还是爱和友谊还有自己的优秀品质比如勇敢果断等。
校长说道：Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who deserve it.
所以说，霍格沃兹是哈利的家，哈利的一切都在那，所有的爱和帮助都从学校来。

试论勇气的三个来源——以《哈利波特》为例
摘要：人的勇气来自哪里？本文主要以《哈利波特》为例来分析为何哈利能战胜强大无比的伏地魔。在与黑暗势力战斗的过程中，哈利能够胜利主要是靠他无限的勇气，而人的勇气是从哪来的呢？本文的主要论述是：人的勇气主要来自三个方面：一、人的勇气来自亲情之爱；
二、勇气来自朋友之间的支持和关爱；三、来自父母遗传下来的正义的勇敢之心。这就是哈利最终能战胜强大的黑暗势力的原因。

导论：
人的勇气来自哪里？这本身是一个极其复杂的问题，对于这个问题的回答也是有着各不相同的回答。比如说在当今以经济发展为主的中国，普遍被认为钱是人的腰杆，中国古语也有所谓的“财大气粗”；另外，在中国有一种叫做养气的方法，孟子曰：“我善养吾浩然之气。”就是说人可以通过不断地磨练来培养自己正大光明的浩然正气。所以人的勇气来源不一。而本文认为人的勇气的来源主要是三个方面，分别是：1、亲情；2、友情；3、勇敢的正义之心。本文将要以《哈利波特》系列故事为依据，通过故事的部分情节来支持本文的观点。在《哈利波特》中，关于人的勇气来自哪里，换一个说法就是：为何弱小的哈利能够战胜强大的黑暗魔头伏地魔？答案在书中表现的比较明显，就是哈利的勇气，而整个过程中，哈利的勇气是从哪里来的呢？这是本文主要论述的地方。本文认为哈利的勇气主要来自以下三个方面。
1、亲情。
人出生在这个世界上，最初结成的关系是与自己的母亲和父亲，然后以父母为中心扩散出去与其他亲戚产生联系。这些叫做亲情之爱，是来自家庭的爱。人从家庭的关爱中所获得的勇气支持是最大的，特别是从父亲那里。
然而作为小说主人公，哈利偏偏是没有父母之爱的。所以他严重缺爱是极有可能的。但是，作者却安排哈利得到了非常温暖的亲情之爱。
校长邓布利多，作为故事中最智慧的人，在暗中默默地指引着哈利前进，他给哈利的爱是最持久也是最深远的。面对黑暗的大魔王，校长知道弱小的哈利所面对的困难是前所未有的，而他所能做的就是尽一切可能去帮助和指引哈利。一方面要引导哈利走上一条光明正义的道路，另一方面还要考验和磨砺哈利使之成长，让他掌握足够的本领去面对那个黑暗的魔法世界。校长在哈利刚刚入学的时候，把哈利父亲留下的隐形衣送给了哈利，让他去探索这个无限大的魔法世界。在大战前夕，也就是校长去世后，给哈利他们三人分别留下了一个宝物，让他们在大战的时候使用，其中给哈利的是复活石，也就是说，死亡圣器全部在校长的手中，而校长把三圣器全部给了哈利，让他用之对抗伏地魔。然而死亡圣器并不是哈利打败伏地魔最厉害的武器，而哈利打败伏地魔最厉害的武器是爱、友谊还有他自己的勇气。
斯内普，是整个故事中爱的最深的人，因为爱的最深，所以恨也最深，也因此付出也最多，他接受了最艰巨的卧底任务，忍受周围所有人的不满和谩骂，只是为了帮助哈利最终能够战胜伏地魔，这一切的一切的忍辱负重皆为他曾经深爱着哈利的母亲，而哈利则拥有自己母亲的眼睛。所以在斯内普死的时候，让哈利看着他的眼睛，他临死前最后一句话说“你确实有你妈妈的眼睛。”虽然斯内普给哈利的爱很严格也非常的冷酷，但却是最长久和深远的。
小天狼星，作为哈利父亲最要好的朋友，也是哈利的教父，可以说是哈利在这个世界上唯一的亲人。小天狼星在监狱等待了12年，等哈利成长到足够的年纪，出来把哈利父母的事情全部告之，并且希望今后作为哈利的监护人能和哈利生活在一起，并且送了哈利一把当时最好的飞天扫把。而且小天狼星作为凤凰社的主要成员，由于小天狼星对于哈利的爱，使得哈利勇敢地加入凤凰社并与黑暗的伏地魔为敌。可以说哈利加入凤凰社的这份勇气是来自小天狼星的亲情之爱。
麦格教授，给了哈利慈母一般的关爱，哈利刚刚入学的时候，送了哈利一把飞天扫把让他在魁地奇比赛中好好表现，这给了哈利很大的勇气，让哈利在他第一次魁地奇比赛中表现的非常好，从此信心十足。当然不单单在魁地奇比赛中，在生活中，有麦格教授的关爱，让哈利拥有更多的勇气在霍格沃兹魔法学校里努力学习。
海格，作为校长邓布利多的助手，在伏地魔杀死哈利父母之后，亲自去把哈利从废墟中救出来，差不多算是从小看着哈利长大的，因此对哈利的关爱也不用多说。海格对哈利的重要的帮助在于，海格带着哈利探索了黑暗森林，了解更多地这个魔法世界。比如海格教哈利如何去驯服飞马并驾驭它，这些都给哈利在其后探索魔法世界的过程中带来的莫大的勇气。
罗恩的家庭给予了哈利最重要的家的温暖，让哈利的内心不再是漂浮着的，从此有了根。罗恩的家虽然经济不是非常优裕，但是整个家庭和谐融洽，充满欢乐和爱，哈利融入其中，得到了家的温暖，有一种归属感。且不说后来哈利成功地成为了卫斯理家的一份子，单就说罗恩一家人把哈利当自己家人一样对待，带哈利去对角巷购物，带哈利去看魁地奇世界杯等等，这些让哈利产生了家庭这个观念，并且在之后的巫界大战中哈利更加努力地去面对和战胜黑暗，是为了保护这个他所喜欢并且能给他温暖的家。家的概念和亲情的温暖给了哈利很大的勇气，是他在面对伏地魔的黑暗攻击中最有力的力量源泉。
以上这些都是哈利成长过程中所感受到的亲情之爱，他的成长不是孤立黑暗的，而是光明温情的，周围有无数的亲情的关爱，使得哈利能够在光明中健康成长。在哈利波特系列故事的第三部之中，作者安排了摄魂怪出场，如果一个人在成长的过程中内心充满黑暗和恐惧，那么就无法抵抗摄魂怪的侵蚀。而唯一能抵抗摄魂怪攻击的就是一个人的内心充满了光明和爱。很明显，摄魂怪的出场就是为了检验哈利是否是缺爱儿童。然而验证结果：哈利并不缺爱。而这些亲情之爱给了哈利莫大的勇气，让他在踏上反抗伏地魔黑暗统治的路上勇往直前。
2、友情
一个人面对这个世界，或多或少会感到力不从心，而人与人之间的合作可以战胜很多困难。所以人们之间需要合作，人与人之间需要交朋友。一个人在面对困难的时候，可以从父母那里寻求帮助，也可以从朋友那里寻求帮助。而朋友与父母的不同之处在于，朋友不但能与之肩并肩地战斗，而且能时刻能寄予鼓励和安慰。更重要的是朋友也是一种榜样，在成长的道路上互相激励，共同成长。
友情是哈利波特故事系列中最为浓墨重彩的一笔，也是哈利勇气来源的一个重要部分。同样哈利、赫敏和罗恩三人之间的友情是罗琳极为看重和重点写的部分。因为在最后的大战中，友情所起的作用实在是太大了，除了亲情之外，友谊之情支撑起了哈利感情的半边天。正好与哈利相反而不同的伏地魔所缺乏的正是友情和亲情，所以在哈利与之对抗的过程中，哈利屡屡能够反败为胜，并且在最后的对决中给伏地魔致命一击。
关于哈利的友情，主要是以哈利、罗恩和赫敏三人所展开的，然后在扩散到整个葛莱芬多学院，直到最后的整个学校。他们三人的铁三角友情的建立是在故事系列的第一部中，三人合作智斗山怪，哈利表现了自己的勇敢，赫敏表现出自己的智慧，罗恩则表现出他从不掉链子的助攻，三人合作打败了山怪，从此建立起深厚的友谊。
罗恩有一个和谐完满的大家庭，赫敏虽然来自麻瓜世界，却天资聪慧而且后天勤奋努力，远远要比同年龄的巫师要聪明许多，而哈利也有自己的勇敢坚毅的优秀品质，三个人组合到
一块，一起踏上了对抗黑暗伏地魔之路，一路坎坷，一路艰辛，三人的友谊经受了各种各样的考验，然而在每次的磨砺后，三人的友谊更加深厚了，使得三人在最后的大战中都表现的无比勇敢和果断，这是友情的力量。
罗恩，作为哈利的铁哥们，给予了哈利最大的帮助，因为罗恩有一个哈利迫切需要的温暖的大家庭，且不说哈利最后娶了罗恩的妹妹，单说哈利在暑假遇到困难的时候，罗恩开着自家的飞车去营救哈利，并邀请哈利去他的家，把哈利介绍给罗恩的家人。罗恩一家人带着哈利去购物。罗恩一家人还带着哈利去看魁地奇世界杯等等，都让哈利感受到了家的温暖。不过作为最好的朋友，罗恩对于哈利的帮助在于每次哈利面对危险情况的时候，罗恩都能及时地补救和帮助哈利，从来没有临阵脱逃过，坚实地站在哈利的一方反对伏地魔。
赫敏，作为最聪明的巫师，虽然来自麻瓜世界，却有着非常的能耐。在哈利探索魔法世界和在魔法世界的探险中给予了非常大的帮助。其中给予哈利最大的帮助是在最后的大战中，赫敏放弃了自己的家庭而跟着哈利满世界逃亡和寻找魂器。赫敏自始至终都没有改变过自己的立场，始终支持哈利。只要有赫敏在，哈利在面对困难的时候就会倍感轻松，而且十分勇敢。
总之，三人从小一起长大，一起学习，一起面对和克服困难，一起经历磨难，一起成长。最后的大战之际，三人逃亡在外，经历种种磨难的考验，最终三人同心协力，其义断金，这是友情的力量。
还有就是纳威，忠厚老实的纳威却有一颗善良正义的心，他明白什么是光明什么是黑暗，他知道哈利的困难，而且他坚定地站在哈利的一边去反抗强大的伏地魔。并且也努力为哈利在应战过程中不断提供帮助，为哈利提供了实际的有用的帮助。特别是在最后的大战中，纳威努力保护学校，顽强抵抗黑暗势力的入侵，最后用葛莱芬多之剑斩杀了伏地魔最后一个魂器——蛇怪，为哈利战胜伏地魔提供了最后一根稻草。
另外值得一提的是小精灵多比，由于哈利的平等对待，使得小精灵万分敬佩哈利；当哈利帮助小精灵脱离黑暗之后，小精灵则成了哈利的朋友。在大战之中，哈利处于最危险的时候，小精灵不惜牺牲了自己的性命而把哈利与哈利的朋友们从马尔福庄园救了出来。小精灵多比在临死前对哈利说道：“在这个美丽的地方，能够和朋友哈利波特在一块，多比感到很幸福。”说完闭上了眼睛。这是小精灵对于哈利的友情支持，让哈利在今后的对抗中更加顽强和勇敢，因为哈利不愿意辜负在这一过程中为他所付出生命的人，他的使命很重要，他必须非常的勇敢才行，必须勇敢面对黑暗的挑战并且战胜黑暗，还世界一片光明。
3、勇敢的正义之心
人不可能把所有的精神寄托都放在主体之外，如果人把精神寄托全部投射到外界，那么人就会失去自主性和独立性。尤其是当精神赖以寄托的外在世界坍塌之后，人的存在以及精神将寄托在何处？所以说，一个人精神的强大必然是内在的强大，此内在的强大必然是生生不息永不枯竭的。也就是说人的勇气不可能全部依靠外界来供养，外界的供养总是有限的，人所需要的勇气的供养可以是一部分来自外界的，但是更为重要的一部分应该是来自自己的生命的内部的，即自发产生的源源不断的勇气，这样才足以应对这个千变万化的残酷世界。而这个能够源源不断产生勇气的内在之物就是人的正义之心，或者说是勇敢的心。
哈利从他的父母那里得到的最宝贵的东西不是爱，而是一颗勇敢的心，或者说是一颗正义之心。这颗正义之心为哈利源源不断地提供勇气，让他在面对强大的伏地魔的时候，能够始终如一地坚持光明，坚持正义。也是这颗正义之心，赢得了周围人的尊敬和关爱，为他赢得了以校长为主的像亲情一样的关爱，也为他赢得了久经考验而愈加亲密无间的友谊，更为他赢得了广大同学和老师的赞同和支持，使得他在最后与伏地魔的大战之中，得到广泛的支持和帮助，并且以压倒性的优势代表光明战胜了黑暗。因此说，一颗正义之心或者勇敢之心，才是勇气的主要来源。在哈利波特故事中所表现如下：

The three origins of bravery in Harry Potter
Abstract
Where does people’s bravery come from? This essay is about to analyze the reason why the Lord Voldemort is defeated by Harry Potter in the end through the books of Harry Potter. During the battle, it is the bravery that Harry has won his final victory. However, what is the origin of bravery? This paper is going to discuss three origins of bravery: (1) the bravery comes from the love of family; (2) the bravery is from the support of friends; (3) it comes from the brave heart that is inherited from parents. And this is the reason why Harry can defeat the Lord Voldemort at last.

1. Introduction
Where is the people's bravery from? This in itself is a very complicated question, and the answer to this question is also in a variety. For example, based on the economic development in today's Chinese, money is generally regarded as the origin of people’s bravery. In China it is also a saying that says: “If a man has a large number of money, he will be arrogant.” In addition, there is also a way of cultivating temperament in China in which Mencius said: "I'm good at cultivating my magnanimous." That is to say a person can develop his or her own Hao Ran temperament by constantly overcoming difficulties. So there are many origins of people's courage. And this article believes that the origin of the bravery of people is mainly three aspects, namely: 1, love of family; 2, friendship; 3, the bravery of the heart of justice. This essay will take the Harry Potter series of stories as the basis to support the viewpoint of this paper through the plots of the story. In Harry Potter, as for the origin of a man’s courage, another statement is why weak Harry can defeat the powerful Dark Lord Voldemort? The answer is very obvious in the books, and it is the bravery of Harry. However, on the whole, where does Harry's bravery come from? This is the main part of this paper. This paper believes that Harry's bravery is mainly from the following three aspects. 2. Love of family
Born in this world, people initially form a relationship with their own mother and father, which then with the help of their parents spreads out for making a relationship with other relatives. These are called love of family that is from families’ affection. The courage’s support one's got from family is the greatest, especially from his or her father.
However, as the hero of the novel, Harry is unluckily lack of love of parents because of his parents being killed by the Lord Voldemort. So it is highly probable that he is seriously short of love. However, the author J.K.Rowling has arranged a very warm affection love for Harry.
As the most intelligent people in the story, president Dumbledore quietly guides Harry forward in private. And the love he gives Harry is the most lasting and the most profound. In the face of the Lord of darkness, the principal knows Harry is weak in facing unprecedented difficulties, and what he can do is to do everything helpful to support and guide Harry. On the one hand, Dumbledore has to guide Harry on a path of approaching light and justice, on the
other hand he also sets up a lot of difficulties to test and improve Harry’s abilities in order that Harry can have enough power to face the dark magic world. When Harry had just entered the school, Dumbledore left the Cloak of invisibility that belongs to Harry’s father to Harry just for giving him a chance to explore the world of infinite magic. On the eve of the war that is also the time after the death of Dumbledore, he gave Harry and Hermione and Ron each of them a treasure so that they could use them in the war against the Lord Voldemort. One of the treasures is the Resurrection Stone that is given to Harry from which we can also know something about the Deathly Hallows. That is all of the Deathly Hallows are in the hand of Dumbledore. And then Dumbledore passed them to Harry to help fight against the Lord Voldemort. However, the Deathly Hallows is not the most powerful weapons that Harry used to defeat the Lord Voldemort. And Harry's most powerful weapon to defeat Voldemort is affection of family, friendship and his own brave heart.
Snape’s love is the deepest in the whole story. However, the deeper his love is, the deeper his hate is. Therefore, he also pays the most. He accepts the arduous task that is undercover, in which he spies on the armies of Voldemort. He also endures dissatisfaction and abuses of the surroundings just in order to help Harry ultimately able to defeat Voldemort. All these humiliations he bears are just for one reason that he once fallen in deep love with Harry's mother. At the same time, Harry has his mother’s eyes. So it’s not difficult to understand that Snape insisted on looking at Harry’s eyes and said before he died: ”You really have your mother’s eyes.” Although the love Snape gives to Harry is very strict and very cold, but it is the most long-term and far-reaching.
As Harry's father's best friend, also the godfather of Harry, Sirius Black, can be said to be the only family of Harry’s in the wo rld. Sirius has been in prison of Azkaban for 12 years, just waiting for Harry to grow old enough. After he escapes from the prison of Azkaban, he tells everything about Harry’s parents to Harry. And he hopes that in the future he would like to live togeth er with Harry as the guardian of Harry. In addition he also sends Harry a kind of broomsticks of the best- Firebolt. As the main member of the order of the Phoenix, Sirius encouraged Harry to join the order of the Phoenix to fight again the Dark Lord Voldemort. It can be said that the courage of Harry’s joining the order of the Phoenix is from the love of the family that Sirius gave.
Professor McGonagall, gave Harry a motherly love. When Harry had just enrolled, she sent Harry a new broomstick- Nimbus 2000 to encourage him to do well in the Quidditch match, which gave Harry a lot of courage and made Harry in his first Quidditch match perform very well. From then on Harry has faced life with full confidence. Of course not only in the Quidditch match, but also in life, with professor McGonagall's care and love Harry have more courage to study hard and explore in Hogwarts School.
As the assistant of headmaster Dumbledore, Hagrid in person rescued Harry from the ruins after the Voldemort killed Harry's parents. Ron's family gives Harry the most important warm of home so that Harry's heart is no longer floating from the root. Harry is no longer homeless. Although the Weasley’s economy is not very
good, the whole family is harmony and full of joy and love. When Harry is welcome into the warm home, he feels a sense of belonging. It needs not to say that Harry succeeded in becoming a member of the Wesley family in the end. What has to say is that Ron and his families treat Harry as the same family, which warms Harry up. They also take Harry to Diagon Alley for shopping and take Harry to visit the Quidditch World Cup and so on. All of above contribute to constructing Harry the concept of family. At the last World War of Wizard, Harry tried his best to face and overcome the darkness in order to protect his favorite family that gives him warm. Obviously the concept of home and the warmth of the family gave Harry a lot of courage, which was the most powerful source of strength in the face of fighting against Voldemort's dark attack.
All of above are the affection or love of family that Harry felt in the process of his growth. It’s clear that his growth is not alone in the dark, but the warmth of the light. There is no denying that he is surrounded by a myriad of family care and love so that the healthy growth of Harry can be in the light. In the third part of Harry Potter series of stories- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the author has arranged the appearance of Dementors to give a test on Harry about whether or not he is lack of affection. If one's heart in the process of growing up is full of darkness and fear, he or her will not be able to resist the erosion of the Dementors. And only those who make heart full of light and love can resist the Dementors’ attack. Obviously the Dementors’ appearance is to test whether Harry is the children lack of love or not. However, the result is negative and Harry is not lack of love. The love of the family affection gave Harry a great number of courage to make the choice of going straight forward courageously on the road of fighting against Voldemort's dark rules.
3. Friendship
A person in the face of the world, more or less, will feel inadequate, but the cooperation between people can overcome many difficulties. So people need to work together, and they need to make friends with each other. When someone is in the face of difficulties, he or she can seek help from their parent either friends. It lies in the difference between friends and parents that friends can not only fighting side by side with but also always support encouragement and comfort. More important is that a friend is also an example in the growth of the road people can encourage each other and grow together.
Friendship in the story of Harry Porter in the series is a thick and heavy in colors. Of course, friendship is also an imp ortant part of the origin of Harry’s bravery. The friendship between the three people Harry, Hermione and Ron is paid more attention by J.K.Rowling and apparently the key part of writing of the writer because the friendship plays an important role in the end of the war between Harry and Voldemort. In addition to the love of family, friendship supplies half of the Harry’s feelings. In contrast to Harry, Voldemort's lack of friendship and affection of family, therefore Harry has often been able to change danger into safety in the process of confrontation with Voldemort. It’s inevitable that Harry gives Voldemort a fatal blow in the final battle between them.
As for Harry's friendship, it includes mainly Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Then they three serve as the center in the diffusion to the entire Gryffindor until the end of the whole school. The establishment of their friendship is in the first part of the series of stories- Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, in which they three cooperated to fry troll. In the battle Harry showed his bravery, Hermione showed her wisdom and Ron showed his timely assistance. After that they three established a deep friendship by cooperating to defeat the troll with wisdom. Ron has a
harmonious and perfect family. Although Hermione comes from the Muggle world, she has a gift in learning magic. She is talented, intelligent, diligent and hardworking so as to be far more intelligent than the Wizards of the same age. Of course, Harry also possesses his own excellent qualities such as the determination and resourcefulness. They three get together to set foot on the road of fight against the Lord Voldemort no matter what the difficulties will appear in the future or no matter how difficult it is in the future. Their friendship has withstood all kinds of tests and then however after each suffering they three are in a more profound friendship. At last all of them performed very bravely and decisively in the last World War of Wizard. In a word all of these are the power of friendship.
As Harry’s best friend, Ron gives Harry the greatest help because Ron has a warm big family that Harry desperately needs. It is needless to say that Harry finally married Ron's sister Ginny so as that Harry finally was one of the Weasley. Another thing that should be paid attention is that when Harry had a difficult time in summer holidays, Ron drove his father’s car to rescue Harry and invited Harry to his home and introduced Harry to his family. The Weasley take Harry for shopping like a family and take Harry to visit the Quidditch World Cup to make Harry feel the warmth of family. But as the best friend, the help Ron gives to Harry is that every time Harry is in danger, Ron can promptly remedy and help Harry. And what matters is that Ron has never been deserter and stands firmly on Harry's side against the Voldemort.
As the most clever wizard in the same age of young wizards, although Hermione comes from the Muggle world, she is very clever and smart. In Harry’s exploration of the magical world, she gives a very big help. What she contributes the most to Harry in the last war against the Voldemort is that she gives up her family and followed Harry to escape around the world and to find the Horcruxes. Hermione has not changed his position of supporting Harry from beginning to end. As long as Hermione is with Harry, the difficulties Harry is in the face of will be very easy and Harry himself will be very brave too.
In short, they three grow up together and learn together. Also they together face and overcome difficulties. At last, they become grown-up through suffering together. At the end of the war, they three fled to the outside and went through a variety of trials and hardships. Finally they represent the light to defeat the dark, which is the power of friendship.
Neville should not be forgot because honest Neville had a kind heart of justice. He can recognize which is light or dark, and he realizes the difficulties that Harry is being in face of. So he stands firmly on the side of Harry to fight against the mighty Lord Voldemort. He tried to help Harry constantly in the process of the wizard war, and provides the actual useful help for Harry. Especially at the end of the war, Neville strives hard to protect their school and resist the invasion of the dark. At last he beheaded the last Horcrux of Voldemort-Nagini by the sword of Gryffindor, which provided the last power for Harry to defeat the Lord Voldemort.
It’s also worth mentioning that the elf Dobby tries to save Harry Potter in the war. The elf admired Harry very much due to Harry's equal treatment. And they become friends after Harry helping Dobby free from its master. When Harry was in the most dangerous time during the World War of Wizard, Dobby had sacrificed his own life to save Harry and Harry's friends from Malfoy Manor. Elf dobby said to Harry before his death:” Such a beautiful place to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend Harry Potter.” Dobby closed its eyes after saying that. This is the spirit support that Dobby gives to Harry, which makes Harry in the future more tenacious and brave. Because Harry is going to live up to his responsibilities for those who die for his life in the
process of resisting the darkness Harry has no choice but defeating the Voldemort. Because his mission is very important he must be very brave to face the challenges of the dark and be brave enough to defeat the dark, which he can give the world a bright light.
4. The bravery heart
It is impossible for people to place all their spiritual sustenance outside the main body. If people put all their spiritual sustenance to the outside world, then people will lose their autonomy and independence. Especially after the collapse of the external world where lives the spiritual sustenance, where will be the existence of people and their spirits? Therefore, the powerful spirit of a person must be powerful inside. And the inner strength must be inexhaustible and endless.
That is to say, people’s bravery can not rely on being supported by the outside worlds because the external support is always limited. The need of the courage for people is supported partly by the outside world. But the more important part that is used to support the courage should be from the inside their own life, which is the spontaneous flow of inner courage. Only this way is it enough to cope with the ever-changing world of cruelty. And this inner thing that can flow in a steady stream of courage is the heart of justice, or the brave heart.
The most precious thing Harry got from his parents was not love, but a brave heart, or a heart of justice. The heart of justice provides Harry a steady stream of courage so that he is in the face of powerful Voldemort, able to consistently adhere to the light and to uphold justice. It is also the brave heart that helps him win the respect and love of people around, win the president's care for him like a family, and win the friendship that is proven to be more intimate, and win the endorsement and support of the majority of students and teachers so that he in the final battle with Voldemort get a wide range of support and help and overwhelmingly on behalf of the bright light overcome the dark. Therefore, a heart of justice or a brave heart is the main origin of bravery. In the Harry Porter series of stories it is shown as follows:
First of all, it is the choice of justice. When Harry enrolled, the Sorting Hat didn’t know which college Harry should be assigned to, Gryffindor or Slytherin. When the Sorting Hat hesitates between the two colleges, Harry himself volunteered to be assigned to Gryffindor in the end. These two colleges represent the opposition between darkness and justice. However, Harry is capable to make a great contribution in any one of these two colleges. Fortunately Harry insisted on choosing that he should be divided into Gryffindor rather than Slytherin because Harry chose to be a righteous person where there is the performance of his bravery. And the bravery is properly brought about by his righteous heart. Different choice means the different road where Harry has to choose to be company with Voldemort all the time or to fight against the Voldemort. It seems to be an easy path to company with Voldemort, while it is a very hard and bumpy road to regard the Voldemort as an enemy. Those who choose this path of resistance to the dark have to pay a lot. But the evil will in the end be defeated by justice, even if the justice is a heavy loss. But the pursuit of light is the greatest justice for everyone, and also the biggest source of one’s courage. Harry has the abilities very similar to Voldemort - determination, resourcefulness, and courage. But the difference between Harry and Voldemort is the choice of position or the pursuit of the light or the dark. Obviously while Harry chose the light, Voldemort chose the dark. That choice is the choice that Harry has made a decision on from the beginning and is about to adhere to until the end firmly. On this matter of making a choice Dumbledore and Sirius had given comfort to Harry where Dumbledore said:” It’s not our a bilities that show what we truly are. It is
our choices.” and at the same time Sirius also said:” The world isn’t split into good people and death eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.” It was clear that Harry at last chose the light and justice. And justice gave him bravery to help him overcome the darkness.
Followed by Harry’s excellent qualities, such as bravery, justice, fortitude and determination, at last Harry ended up with victory, although there is part of the reason that the wounded Lord Voldemort's strength is insufficient. At the same time, in the growing process of Harry, Voldemort never stops for a moment and has been coveted to kill Harry. But so many times of confrontation and contest between them the strength of the injured Voldemort is not enough to win the battle. Thereby what is more important is that Harry in opposite of powerful Voldemort has never feared and escaped and always faces the difficulties and the battle bravely. For example in the Chamber of Secrets Harry bravely had a battle with the basilisk in which Harry called out the sword of Gryffindor relying on his own excellent qualities and killed the basilisk with the sword of Gryffindor. At the same time in the confrontation with Voldemort, courageous Harry destroyed one of Horcruxes of Voldemort's -- a diary. In a word, that is the performance of Harry's brave heart. In the later in the face of Voldemort, when faced with the decision, although the strength of the Voldemort is more powerful than Harry, Harry has never withdrawn and fled because of the manifestation of Harry's brave heart. So a brave heart is the most abundant source of courage.
The last is in the face of strong darkness where brave challenge and deathless courage appeared. Harry must to die if he wants to destroy all of Voldemort’sHorcruxes because Harry himself is one Horcrus the Voldemort has made that year inadvertently. When Harry knew the situation in which he himself must to die, he felt relaxed. So he calmly went to find Voldemort to give a chance to Voldemort so that Voldemort can personally kill Harry as well as Voldemort's soul in the body of Harry.
However Harry and Voldemorthas been lopsided because of the affection and friendship so that the soul of Harry has been very powerful. Because Harry’s soul has been strong enough to fight against Voldemort's soul Harry’s soul can survive from Voldemort’s killing that is so weak thanks to the loss of Voldemort's feelings. With the addition of the love of protection of Harry’s mother, Harry escaped from a Voldemort's fatal blow. But the fatal blow that Voldemort gives to Harry hit on his own soul with a avoid leaning to either side in which the Voldemort helps Harry to destroy a Horcrux. That is not only the strength of friendship and love of family, but also the brave heart of Harry's choice made by the heart of justice.
5. Conclusion
To sum up, the reason why Harry Porter was able to overcome the powerful Voldemort was his bravery. And his bravery is built on the brave heart, love of family and friendship. So, through the above analysis, this paper makes a conclusion that the origin of human courage is mainly from three aspects and they are separately the love of families, the help and support of friendship and one’s own courage and independence of the heart of the justice. With these three treasures one can march forward courageously in the process of his or her growing up.
