住宿

在英国生活，住宿分为3种：

第一种就是找人合租房子，这样比较节省，学生可以选择几个朋友一起，通过中介或者直接联系房东签订一个房子，一般短期为半年，在入住前需要交纳担保金，约为一个月的房费，每人每周的消费大约在55-75镑。

第二种方法是选择学生公寓，每周的费用大概是90--100镑，比合租房子要贵一些，每人一间单人房，配有生活所需的用品，厨房是和室友分享的，配备齐全。同住的有各国的学生，对学生提高英语水平有很大的帮助。

第三种是寄宿家庭，选择一家英国当地的家庭，和他们一起生活，每周花费为80-110镑，费用相对比较高，吃住都是和他们一起

的，食物多是由寄宿家庭提供。当然，寄宿家庭最有利于学生提高英语水平，融入英国的社会和生活。

在英国使用手机

初到英国，由于没有银行账户，所以一般不能和公司签包月手机合同。最好的办法是从国内带一部手机，三频或双频均可。安顿下来以后，就可以到商店购买手机充值卡，卡的价钱一般在10英镑左右。虽然话费比包月服务相对较贵，约35便士每分钟，但即买即用，十分适合初到英国的新生。在申请到银行账户和借记卡后，就可以拿印有你住所地址的银行对账单和护照到手机店签包月合同。

一般来讲，你不需要花很高的月租费(通常在每月20镑—30镑)就可以获得一部免费的手机和免费通话时间(一般每月500至1000分钟)。但需要注意的是，许多电话网络公司都对免费时间有一定限制，比如，通话时间被分成了高峰期与非高峰期，有的免费时间仅限于非高峰期，比如周末或平时每天晚上7点半以后至次日早晨7点以前，你可以根据需要选择。如果只想用手机和国内联系，签非高峰期的合同就比较划算。

开办银行帐户

要妥善保管好你的现金，不宜随身携带大量现金或是将其留在宿舍。同其它国家一样，英国也有很多银行。而其中最有名的是HSBC,Barclays,Natwest,Halifax,LloydsTSB等。选择哪间银行，不仅要看它的服务，还要看它的规模(分行数目，提款机数目等)。

你在选择银行时，应该考虑以下几点：

银行提供的服务及收费情况;

从国内汇款至英国的手续及汇费;

开户所需文件；

银行的联系方式是否简单。

货币与消费

在获得签证准备离境的时候，你必须要开始考虑在英国的开销问题，以便你能很明确的知道在英国学习期间需要多少生活费用。管理好每月的开销是你在英国学习生活中很重要的部分，这样才能保证你在学习期间的正常生活和避免不必要的麻烦。英国目前现行的货币是英镑(PoundsSterling)，有英格兰版的钞票和苏格兰版的钞票之

分。硬币的面值有1便士(1p)、2便士、5便士、10便士、20便士、50便士、1镑和2镑8种，纸币的面额有1镑、5镑、10镑、20镑、50镑和100镑6种。英国的主要银行有HSBC，Natwest，Barclays，BankofEngland，BankofScotland，RoyalBankofScotland等。每家银行都能印制钞票，每家银行的钞票在大小、颜色和价值上都是完全一样的，唯一区别之处就在于钞票上有不同银行的标识。

英国天气与穿着

英国位于北纬50度至60度之间，比我国的黑龙江省还要偏北，但气候却温和得多，属于海洋性温带阔叶林气候。可以说是冬无严寒，夏无酷暑。受高纬度的影响，英国昼夜长短的变化特别明显。冬季日

英国留学合同书(示范合同) 甲方：乙方： 经甲、乙双方友好协商，就乙方申请赴英国自费留学事宜达成如下协议，共同遵守执行。 一、甲方的责任与义务 1、甲方为乙方提供自费留学咨询服务，介绍英国院校的综合情况，结合乙方条件帮助乙方选择在英国的学校和课程。 2、甲方协助乙方完成留学材料的写作，按照乙方要求进行修改。 二、乙方的权利与义务 1、乙方接受甲方的自费留学咨询服务，委托甲方办理赴英国留学相关材料书写的有关手续。 2、乙方应根据英国院校及英国驻华使领馆的要求，提供真实完整的申请留学所需要的个人资料。 资料包括：1.在校学生：提供本科在读院校名称，专业名称，希望申请的专业名称，3年或4年的平均成绩，外语水平，参加或组织过任何大型活动，学校和个人参加的实习活动，受到何种评价等等，推荐信导师的职位，及简单介绍和联系方式。

2.已经毕业工作：提供原毕业院校名称，专业名称，希望申请的专业名称，大学平均成绩，外语水平，参加或组织过任何大型活动，学校和个人参加的实习活动，受到何种评价，在工作期间就职单位，担任职位，完成过任何项目，取得任何成绩等等，推荐信导师或雇主的职位，及简单介绍和联系方式。 三、费用及付款方式 1、乙方可选择以下任一种服务费用： □A类：委托甲方完成全套材料的英文书写（一个PS，2个推荐信）,服务费共计人民币叁仟元整（￥3000）。 □B类：委托甲方完成PS和2封推荐信中的某一个或2个文件的书写，服务费依材料数量而定，人民币壹仟元一份（￥1000）。 □PS□推荐信1□推荐信2 2、付款方式：分两次付费。乙方签订本合同即付一次服务费（每一份材料的一次服务费为400元），甲方在收到该款项及编写所需资料后，在7-10天内为乙方进行留学材料的书写，完成后，甲方将材料的50%交给乙方，如果乙方满意，乙方将二次服务费付与甲方，甲方将全部材料提交给乙方。 四、退款及违约责任 l、若乙方在收到材料的前50%后，对材料不满意，甲方负责修改，直至乙方满意。若乙方在收到材料的100%后，对材料不满意，甲方负责修改，直至乙方满意。 2、若乙方在收到甲方材料前50%后不满意，并且甲方修改后仍不能另乙方满意，乙方可以申请终止合同，每份材料甲方收取200元工本费，其余收取的费用甲方在30个工作日内退还乙方。
